well that would explain the tough talk attributed to asda in evo's note , that asda would be demanding significant savings from packers whether they get greenseal or not. asda want to stay ahead and need to force their packers into giving seo orders or seo will go elsewhere. they're a bit sharp this board.

I can take no credit for this research - attributabl to trucking duck on another board - but this is good stuff.
"Take the time to read (below), mentions Biotech at their recent EGM, find the charts on Bloomberg (epic symbol = erth), their shareprice shot up after the EGM. Their market CAP (AS THEIR SHARES ARE PUBLICALLY TRADED) is within SEOs financial capability.

This has to be the news thats coming, if we get this company we dont just get Walmart we get the whole of the USA. Remember we (Biotec) own the Worldwide rights to their technology, Earthshell only license it. i.e. they are screwed without us. Put Earthshell & "Greenseal" together it makes total sense. "

Molook at the director holdings and from the statement it says that Essam Mr Khsoggi is retiring. He may well want to sell his holding too.

How about that Essam & E Khashoggi, just got a load of cash for Biotec. They are buying SEO shares with the cash they are getting from Biotec (thats whats keeping the price up, the mystery buyers) so that when SEO announces they are buying Earthshell (they cant afford not too as earthshell own the licenses for all the food packaging, so no point in buying Biotec unless they get this as well (N.B. Greenseal is predominantly related to food at present and they keep mentioning "starpool", this is the "starpool" in my opinion, if its not then SEO are in competition with themselves and this does not make sense). Therefore Essam & EKI get two bites of the cherry, cash for earthshell & increase in SEO price.
What you think ? "

Just the odd 1m trade again at the close - was it really a buy I wonder ?
On the face of it does not look look like a buy - but then again the price was level for most of the day - only dropping at the close.

Is anyone else on this thread planning to go to the EGM on the 30 August? I shall be going and will glean what I can. If anyone wants any particular questions asking for them, post it here or email me, whichever suits.
In the meantime anyone who wants a quick punt, but hopefully very profitable one, over the next 10 days, try Chaco (CHP) It promises to be very very good.

baza, it sounds like a crock of shit to me. if kashoggi did want seo shares he could have sold biotec for shares, which is what seo offered him last year when the sp was 4p. he wanted cash. and no wonder biotec was making a loss dealing with companies like earthshell. after reading that link it seems earthshell sign agreements then turn out their empty pockets saying , sorry guv'ner, ain't got no cash. can we pay you in a few years or d'ya fancy a trillion shares instead? it also comes across as though eki has the patents and not biotec. but then again i may be reading it all wrong!!!!

everyone assumes because an AT trade comes in the bring the bid back, ( an assumption has been made here that an anonymous party is picking up the stock ), that this will shoot up at some stage. given the selling pressure, the assumed buyer will have filled his boots at some stage and i can see this going rapidly south without good news.
more than happy to be wrong, but last time i looked the bid went to 21.25 and stayed there.
RHPS will probably say "buy" to 25p again tomorrow, but oddly there are very few extra buys week after tipped week. ( maybe all toms punters are already in ).
i have reduced the last few days .

Superrod - I have had similar thoughts - but am in for the long term. I tried playing about before and got my fingers burnt. It could well drift - and yes - everyone assumes that there will be an order at some stage - and we do need to factor in our own risk assessment of that order not turning up - or even being delayed.
But I have watched this company and am convinced that it has a good strategy that will lead to long term and sustainable profits - just when - I dont know - but am prepared to wait until it happens

I am glad to see on different BBs that people are scratching the surface I have told for a few weeks now to DYOR and find something that caused the big sell off in that period in June.
The following is all written IMO and will again hopefully invoke some DYOR I will not be writing directly but you can DYOR to fill in the gaps.
Lets take 4 words
Due
Responsibility
Diligence
Accountability.
I have told you to look in the Annual Reports published in 2003 and 2004 did you see increases of holders above the 3% level but never saw any holdings RNS ?
Yes they took those dilution shares but as yet have not played their play ?
So did someone find something late June to cause a scare ? Was a level of DD called into question ? was someone responsible for something ? and who would take accountability if it were ?
A few weeks later from the drop a string of nothing much RNSs in only a matter of days pushed the price back to the last SP of the issue and then some persons being offloading with someone Reasonable of Age perhaps taking them in being responsible for accountability of someone else ?
So therefore if a clanger has been clanged - would not a Reasonable of Age person buy back what was offered to others who feel diligence was lacking and demand some responsibility and accountability ?
When this move of shares from certain parties to a different party is complete - take a look at the total volume moved and you could question whether it was equal to a certain new issue ?
Enough riddles from me it is of cause just notes for you to DYOR !!!
I have given the pointers over the past weeks and now some fictional written riddles to ensure you DYOR !!!
All just simple guesses and IMO and must not be misunderstood of course in the event you could misunderstand any meaning you should ignore this post
Is the ground rumbling at the edge of the cliff ? Why are these big sell matched buys happening around the recent issue level ? Why would X trades give the game away if any game was happening ? So many questions and so very few answers !

Hi all,
Just reading todays RNS, and I came accross this one, which shows the food industry IS suffering from high oil prices.
Roll out the Starpol 2000 !

ARLA FOODS UK PLC
Trading Statement
Further to the comments made at our interim results on 27 May 2005, continued
exceptional inflationary pressures resulting from higher oil and utility prices
are adversely impacting our margins. Market recovery of cost increases,
particularly in the middle ground, has been difficult in the short term.
To date, the effect of the second phase of CAP reform, implemented on 1 July
2005 and expected to impact on farmgate support prices by between five and seven
per cent, has been negligible.
Whilst none of these factors on its own would have a significant impact, the
combined effect is such that the Board anticipates that profits for the current
year will now be below its expectations. Although these cost pressures are
expected to continue some way into the next financial year, management is
putting in place plans to mitigate them.
Arla Foods will issue a pre-close trading update on 4 October 2005.
