Today's Torygraph speaks of fast tracking approvals by NICE, but no mention of ULT. Meanwhile, ULT has survived the Friday profit takers and shorters and has continued to soar. I've had no chance to top up on the dips - there haven't been any, and I'm looking forward to 2p within days.

I consider potential forward earnings could translate into a share price, as follows:

2.5m pa = 5p
5m pa = 9p to 10p
7.7m pa = 14p to 15p
10m pa = 18p to 20p
15m pa = 27p to 30p
20m pa = 36p to 40p
25m pa = 45p to 50p
30m pa = 54p to 60p

The potential earnings to ULT just from their flagship product, Beating the Blues are huge. One can get an idea of potential earnings to ULT from BtB, from information stated in the last NICE report (ACD-2, May 2005).

The potential cost to the NHS for implementing BtB in England and Wales at Practice level was said to be 34m pa; and at PCT level, 5m pa (although the figures could be slightly higher due to the accounting assumptions involved).

On one occasion, when speaking to ULT last week, I actually plucked some figures from within the implementation costs range stated by NICE and said "do you think revenues of more than 10m to 15m pa could be achieved from sales of BtB in England and Wales?" and the reply was "yes".

Note, the above implementation figures are just for Beating the Blues, and England and Wales; to which one should add further potential revenues from sales of BtB in Scotland, Ireland, the US, Canada, Australia, the rest of the English speaking world, and from ULTs other products (as well as future translations into other languages).

Once NICE endorse 'Beating The Blues' there is no competition.

In theory, PCT's can buy a product of anyone, but in the real world, will not touch anything not formally endorsed by NICE.

Then factor in it takes years to win NICE approval and the burning of 10's millions of pounds in research.

SP on the verge of multi year breakout and where this leads us is anyone's guess. Clearly with the forward earning potential of 'Beating The Blues' the sky is the limit for ULT.

I will not be 'giving' my shares away for a silly price of 5p and yes, I'm serious about that.

If every GP practice orders one license:

10465 practices * 6000 = 62.7M.

Due to the very high margins here, 50m could be profit.

PE of 20 = market cap 1 billion.

Share price of at least 75p.

which is already in the BAG

SAM24: The sudden excitement surrounding the Vioxx compensation can only reinforce the points you make about the downside with drugs.
I believe that a ULT team of software writers and psychiatrists have spent years developing this programme to fill a widespread need, and assuming final approval, this could result in Microsoft style growth. Like you, I think I will be hanging on to my shares until they hit - er - their 2000 peak.
