Hi Fred.... as far as I recall the Wellington doesn't serve food - so guess a meal is off the menu there - although I think you can bring your own food in and they will provide the culinary eating instruments. I'll probably make the Wellington 'meeting' - but as food is off the menu then it shouldn't be a 'meat-eating' as such.

.... but the 'Pig on the Wall Mild' at the Wellington is as nourishing as food ..... and just as medicinal (.... but I'll give Stan the credit of spotting that particular food there).
The following article confirms the food situation..... so perhaps I'll bring a durian along with me ;-) :
"You can't buy food there, they have no kitchen, but you can bring in any food you like and eat it there - they'll even give you cutlery and plates."
http://beercast.blogspot.com/2007/11/in-praise-ofthe-wellington.html
after that write-up I can visualise customers leaving the premises with plates and knives & forks stuffed in their jacket pockets ..... I presume the writer meant " they'll even loan you cutlery and plates."

Confidence among American consumers slumped to the lowest level since 1992 and factory output failed to increase, indicating the damage from the housing contraction is pushing the economy toward a recession.

Do you think the markets would excuse our absence tomorrow?

"Stan, I hope you are not putting on too much weight with that full plate of yours." Me put on weight? couldn't if I tried..and I have -):
"Not just what is on the plate, Fred, since I reckon he'll have been enjoying a full glass or few of late." Been Informed that I will receive Oddbin vouchers near the end of the month, so am holding off till then (just In case MAM go belly up In between) knowing my luck of late I can't rule that possibility out -):
Good o, I will see you all tomorrow, trains running on time hopefully. Lots of Bank news this week with most of It probably bad IMHO.

Stan ..... good luck with the trains.
Chiltern not making any significant changes in next timetable:
http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/uploads/publications/758.pdf
so presume the Wrexham & Shrops service timetable will remain as envisaged.
An MP is refusing to use rail services between London and the West Midlands because they are so unreliable.

It is considered one of the great marketing own-goals of all time. When British Rail rebranded in the 1980s, it came up with the slogan: "We're getting there"....
.... On the face of it, Grand Central, the soon-to-launch service between London and Sunderland, has fallen into the same metaphorical trap.
Their motto, "The train you've been waiting for", has proved horribly appropriate.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7081484.stm
Back 'On-topic', here's the On-board Wine List for their trains (includes champagne):
http://www.grandcentralrail.co.uk/pdf/GCWineListDL_15mm(grey).pdf
And 'nice' to see a company with Birmingham connections providing some of the services to the new Great Central route:
http://www.innovationfacilities.co.uk/
Their website isn't too good though.... it links to their sister company whose 'Contact Us' page shows that Birmingham Airport is in Taunton.... !
http://www.wgarden.co.uk/contact.php
With geographical errors like that they might put Newcastle upon Tyne (Northern Rock Head Office) as being located in London (Downing Street).

Hope everybody has got home Ok.
The Wellington is a bit noisy. Couldn't hear what I was saying. Generally I don't understand my emissions.
