I guess it is not surprising to have some weakness in the sp today. My overall view of yesterday's meeting is that any apparent lull in further news is not representitive of the mgt's efforts; SEO is still a stock which has enormous capacity for pulling off deals and contracts, the value of which are easily capable of firing the sp upwards overnight. Tim Freeborn writing all those months ago was absolutely right.
It would be a brave or very nimble operator who would short them in my view.

- relating to post 8760;
bosley......i hope so......because from the stuff PM has been posting; Natureworks is already in there.....in regards to the bio-plastic fruit packaging already being used in US etcetc.....and its "co-operation" with Walmart at the packaging conference.
Just wonder if it would go cheaply enough, for SEO to take it.
[if the corn is better than the spuds, then it's back to the Greenseal.....although corn and spuds are a lot nicer together]

B6: I don't think there's any chance SEO can buy Natureworks.
Here is why

Hi Sellsell
Forgive me if I am wrong, but I think it was you who asked for an update of what my students' employers are doing vis-a-vie trays for fresh produce.
The word is they are now starting to use Starpol trays for fresh produce. So whilst you are in your local superrmarket - their name has an "s" in it - you should see some of their meat products packed with Starpol trays.
I also get the impression that if the RF trials which they are conducting right now go well with the RF sealing of the packs, then they'll will start using Greenseal as soon as ASDA's exclusive period is over in July next year.
I was down in Frome, Somerset over the long weekend and popped into an ASDA and was really impressed with RF sealing on several of their products. Looks really neat and very secure; I know because I surreptitiously try to pull a couple of edges open and failed. The fact that you have to use a knife to open the packages is not in my opinion a problem, but then an old frail or blind person may disagree with me.

Used to shop at Netto in Denmark. One of the major supermarket chains out there. They need an ASDS or Tesco's in Copenhagen!!!
Must admit the beer was bloody cheap in Netto, if you buy in crates. Just don't buy at a pub / bar (pint of guinness will set you back nearly 4)

Ian Balchin was very open at the EGM saying that many of the supermarkets are trialling greanseal - and it does not have any effect on the ASDA agreement - so come on Oily - which one ??

Echo Baza's comment. IB was clear on that. Next July a good many supermarket chains will be ready to hit the road running. Has anyone any inside track to Mondini to know when their RF machine will be ready for sale?

OK, OK! Already.
You/ve begged and scraped enough. God I've got more power over you rotten lot than I have over my students! And that's saying something.
I think I've stretched your imaginations and patience to the limit, so if you pop into a supermarket with and "s" and an "i" in the name look out for the Starpol trays.
Now breath in an out through the nose. Equal inward and outward breaths. Notice how the inward breaths are cool and dry and the outward breaths warm and moist.
Keep the throat relaxed and wide. Shoulders stay relaxed and down away from the ears. Lengthen the neck but don't stretch it.
Feeling more relaxed now?
Good!
