thank you for the explanation; even a (very) old dog can continue to learn
each to his own, but i find the "goldfish bowl" concept very sad - A'dam isn't quite a fair comparison, but very nearly

Pressure inside Gulf well rising slowly, says BP
StockMarketWire.com
Pressure inside the side the MC252 well in the Gulf of Mexico continues to rise slowly, BP said today (19 July).
It said the pressure had been measured at approximately 6,792 pounds per square inch and continues to rise.
Extensive monitoring activities are being carried out around the well site and information gathered during the test is being reviewed with the government agencies, including the Federal Science Team, to determine next steps.
BP says that should the test conclude, the Q4000 is expected to resume capturing and flaring oil and gas through the existing system.
It has been capturing and flaring an average of 8,000 barrels a day of oil in recent weeks.
The Helix Producer also is expected to be available to resume capturing oil and flaring gas through the recently installed floating riser system.
It has the capacity to capture approximately 20,000 - 25,000 b/d of oil.
Work on the first relief well, which started 2 May, continues.
The well reached a depth of 17,864 feet as of 18 July and the next scheduled operation is to carry out a ranging run.
The second relief well, which started 16 May, is at a measured depth of 15,874 feet and has been temporarily halted so as not to interfere with the ranging runs being performed in the first relief well. Although uncertainty remains, the first half of August remains the current estimate of the most likely date by which the first relief well will be completed and kill operations performed.

Cynic, they wont just boot them off the job - they'll seize all their assets at the same time. I still think they'll end up going bust over this catastrophe - and I personally hope they do, its the least they deserve for the damage thats been done.

clubby - i would ask you by e-, but you don't have the link here ...... without being remotely judgmental, why does you lovely wife not object to your (daily) frequenting of the "shag parlours"? ..... i could understand it easier if she wanted to join in, but seemingly that is not the case
