seem to be doing things right, and doing the right things - compare with PCI - very good value

Aldor3 - 22 Nov 2004 15:36 - 10 of 1049

Only need to strike oil then ...WOW

m100 - 23 Nov 2004 08:56 - 11 of 1049

Aldor 03 hope so - wish I had more also - tied up currently with PCI (isnt everyone?), and CYH - I have a feeling I should be in this one more. Fate will tell, bring back Mystic Meg I say..

Aldor3 - 23 Nov 2004 14:34 - 12 of 1049

m100 i am in CYH also through the advice of brother (Douggie)wish i had put it all into this one but nevermind will come good if i live long enough :-)). but i think this one will compensate for CYH..

Nice bit of news for BLR holders, hence the slight rise today I expect.
Also watching NOP fly which is more good news as BLR have a 5% equity holding, but you probably know all that anyway. Here's hoping,10 days drilling and some good news for Christmas???????????

LONDON (AFX) - Black Rock Oil & Gas PLC said the Cyrano 2 oil project in Western Australia, in which it has a 15 pct holding, is expected to start drilling today.

'Operations are progressing well and we are ahead of schedule,' said managing director Ivan Burgess.

Cyrano 2 is expected to take 10 days to drill to a predicted total depth of about 1,590 metres.

yes been quiet for a while - got in and out earlier year, should have stayed in
seems to have some reasonable substance to the company, operations

m100 - 08 Dec 2004 13:22 - 17 of 1049

nice to know all agm motions were passed - wonder what they were? - Sandhills 2 started on the IOW! Cyrano 2 drilling due to reach depth in 8 days. BLR seem to be quietly getting on with things.

Aldor3 - 08 Dec 2004 15:19 - 18 of 1049

everything passed so why the drop in price ?????

Douggie - 08 Dec 2004 16:46 - 19 of 1049

Hi Bro. when did you ever see a rise in sp after good news ????????????????????

m100 - 09 Dec 2004 09:13 - 20 of 1049

true indeed - probably because no one believes good news, thinking its PR speak. However in this case, compared to others they seem very modest..

Rutherford - 09 Dec 2004 16:48 - 21 of 1049

Have just topped up @ 1.98 after reading tap oil website.
Cyrano 2 is both an exploration and developement well which would mean to me that they are pretty sure of hitting oil after cyrano 1 but going deeper also for exploration purposes.
Surprised no real movement in the price as yet as results of drilling are only days away. Maybe too many getting their fingers burnt with Petroceltic and Pan Andean. I strongly believe they will have a positive result here and an exciting 2 months as Cooper to follow the Isle of wight. I am sure this price will be long gone in the next few weeks which is not before time having held for 18 months now so hoping to reap the rewards shortly.

dawsinho - 09 Dec 2004 17:10 - 22 of 1049

Rutherford,

Must agree, there's so much upside and very little downside. Tap estimate 8 mmbbls oil and 100 PJ of gas at cyrano 2. If this is the case 15% = 1200000 mmbbls oil and 15 PJ of gas... Add to this sandhills, which is expected to be drill ready in Jan next year, plus various other projects!

m100 - 13 Dec 2004 07:51 - 23 of 1049

R and D - yes agree - too may got fingers burnt with pci and pan - shame cos thse guys seem to have their act together

crikey - price moving already today and lots of sells (profit take) - well or are they buys?

dawsinho - 13 Dec 2004 08:29 - 24 of 1049

m100,

All sells are actually buys!

m100 - 13 Dec 2004 09:43 - 25 of 1049

so whys the price dropping? would have thought this meant everyone had confidence in the company - mind you as a CYH holder, logic went out a long time ago

gra1969 - 13 Dec 2004 16:27 - 26 of 1049

Can somebody tell me how many shares are in circulation please, there has been 19mil volume and little or no movement on the sp.

dawsinho - 13 Dec 2004 18:35 - 27 of 1049

Stock Exchange Announcement

BLACK ROCK OIL & GAS PLC

CYRANO 2

Black Rock Oil and Gas Plc (the "Company") announces that the Cyrano 2 appraisal
well reached planned total depth of 1,737metres on 12 December 2004. Wireline
logs are currently being run to fully evaluate the well and a further
announcement will be made once logging is completed.

The Cyrano 2 well was planned to appraise the down-dip extent of the oil pool,
previously discovered by the drilling of Cyrano 1 in March 2003, within lower
Cretaceous sandstone reservoir. Cyrano 2 has intersected the downdip extent of
the oil pool, but preliminary interpretation indicates that the reservoir sands
in this well were intersected low to prognosis. Further logging is being run to
confirm the extent of the oil pool and establish reservoir parameters.

Cyrano 2 was deepened to intersect predicted Jurassic and Triassic sandstones,
which were interpreted to form a trap on the downthrown side of the main
bounding Flinders Fault. Good quality sands were intersected in both the
Jurassic and Triassic, but were found to be water bearing.

Following completion of logging, the Cyrano 2 well will be plugged and abandoned
as planned.

from the rns it sounds like they have checked out the previous well area, got to where they were looking, theres good bearing rocks but not as much as hoped, still logging data to evaluate their findings. Next move? Seal well and move on, or drill again?(Big Al - you around?)
- as I write this - afx cme out..
