Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

9185 - quite so, and it's easy to see why ......
i also would dsagree that the tories would get hammered in a new GE (if there even is one), as a large slice of the population would be happy to see a soft(er) brexit ....... why would they all suddenly switch to labour which would happily work towards a more federal europe?

A general election would be first and then another referendum will do.
Coming soon to your part of the country!

vote labour
you get to stay in europe with more power devolved to the unions and a trend towards a more fiscal eu
vote lib/dem
assuredly you'ld be voting to stay europe and also you'ld split the vote in an unknown proportion
would lib/dems hold the balance power?
very doubtful, and if not what value your vote?
vote tory
you'll probably end up with something similar to what we already have, but with at least some freedom to follow or own course (i hope)
vote ukip
fall on the floor laughing and frothing at the mouth if you aren't already

Vote UKIP and fuck up lots of remainer MP's chances of holding onto their jobs.
The Soubry burd for example (tory) only has a very slender majority, and they voted out, only to be betrayed.

I never thought the vote would be given. However when you are given the option in or out then you have to honour the outcome. I keep hearing from gutless wonders that nobody voted to be poorer. Utter bollox.
If the result went to stay in then I would have accepted it. Moaning like drains about a loss is something we have to accept everyday when trading. Cant ask for another go if it goes wrong.
May be I am thick skinned. Luvvies don't tend to be IMHO

Mr Bean Appointed As New UK Brexit Secretary
July 9, 2018 - BREAKING NEWS, POLITICS
FOLLOWING the sudden resignation of former UK Brexit secretary David Davis, prime minister Theresa May has announced her new appointment to the role, Mr. Bean.
Announcing his resignation just two days after warring factions in May’s cabinet approved a Brexit plan in a bid to unblock negotiations with Brussels, Davis wished Mr. Bean all the best in his new job, stating he couldn’t think of a better person to succeed him.
