MDW should be testing 15p soon - it'll be an interesting week, particularly if the much awaited news of the deal is forthcoming.

Philip Stimpson was out of the office a lot of last week. Was he over in the US ? Signing on the dotted line ?

SueHelen - 30 Mar 2004 14:21 - 97 of 145

Price consolidating after the intial rise this morning. 50K buy just been reported at full price of 12.5 pence.

robstuff - 31 Mar 2004 16:50 - 98 of 145

Should it be taking this long? It was supposed to be imminent in jan, can it be such a marvellous product if no-one will sell it? Come on guys, do the deal or the share price next stop is 8p

kantona - 02 Apr 2004 15:19 - 99 of 145

Things have been quiet at Mediwatch recently, however there's an interesting post from Booza on iii:

"Ive just had a nice chat with Mr Alun Hicks (Non-Executive Director) at Mediwatch about one of my emails to Mr Philip Stimpson in which I questioned his sincerity about the imminence of the US distribution announcement. Mr Stimpson is currently in Egypt on business so Mr Hicks contacted me on his behalf.

Mr Hicks explained that at the time of the statement on the 20th Jan, everything Mr Stimpson said was true and in good faith. He also said that the delay is due to the size and complexity of deal which is still very dynamic. He assured me that they are working flat out to conclude the situation and will announce something as soon as possible.

One very interesting point came out when I accidentally described the deal as massive Mr Hicks hastily replied Well, Id hardly describe 15 to 20 million as massive but to a small AIM listed company it is certainly huge..
"

It certainly looks as though there are going to be exciting times ahead!

overgrowth - 20 Apr 2004 23:22 - 101 of 145

Some very interesting spread movements today. It looks as though news of some form is really "imminent" now. If we see another strong rise tomorrow with no news, then an RNS will be on its way before the week's out.

grajul - 30 Apr 2004 13:16 - 102 of 145

I've topped up today, these are amazingly cheap now, just falling away due to no news. Once the news comes through though, this'll rock. (I'm an optomist, you know)

overgrowth - 03 May 2004 23:06 - 103 of 145

grajul - I agree. There are rumours floating around that there will be news of one form or another in the first week of May, if that's the case we won't have long to wait!

cathbroadley - 14 May 2004 21:20 - 104 of 145

Goldfinger are you still holding mdw, what is your view on them now thanks Cath.

goldfinger - 15 May 2004 23:57 - 105 of 145

Hi Cath got your message, still holding but highly dissapointed with the share price ( mind in these markets cant ask for more).

Remember its not a one trick pony this one and being a highly patient type Im prepared to sit back and wait for news which will out it and move the price higher.

More or less same thing going on at BPRG but shorters seem to be having there day there, but for how much longer? and I for one hope they get caught in a bear trap, and if they do they will wish they never heard of the shorting practice, it could happen and they could get locked in.

Only about 10 stock now open, mt exposure to tech is now very limited mind I cant complain Ive had an excelent 12 months or so, now going back to cash and the odd defensive and value share.

Hope you are doing ok on the markets, its a pity but these geopolitical problems cant be forecast.

Good luck and regards goldfinger.

cathbroadley - 16 May 2004 10:44 - 106 of 145

Thanks GF will stick with it not in a hurry can wait a year if need be down about 30% in all my holdings will have to be patient Cath.

overgrowth - 16 May 2004 20:29 - 107 of 145

Well worth sticking with this co. There's still a stack of newsflow to come and each announcement will be nudging the price nicely upwards.

The drift is disappointing, though it has mainly been on relatively tiny volumes which means that the price can easily blast back up to 12-15p levels on positive news.

overgrowth - 27 May 2004 20:03 - 108 of 145

Great news in the trading update today - the RNS has emphatically quashed any bearish thoughts on MDW:

"Mediwatch (AIM:MDW), the innovative UK manufacturer of high tech screening and
diagnostic systems for urological disorders, today announces a business update.

The Company announces that Phase I clinical evaluation of the qualitative
point-of-care diagnostic system (PSA) has commenced. Mediwatch Biomedical
remains on course to apply for regulatory approvals for this point-of-care
system in Europe and the US next year.

Progress has been made in the UK where sales have increased significantly during
the second half of the year ending 30th April 2004. In addition, CMDCAS approval
for Canada has now been granted for a portable scanner.

Professor Peter Wells, a world leading expert in Ultrasound has agreed to join
the Company as a consultant and will provide further expertise in support of new
and exciting future products.

As announced in the interim results to 31st October 2003 released on 28th
January 2004, negotiations with a large US distributor for a range of Mediwatch
products are continuing, albeit somewhat delayed due to unforeseen legal issues.
Resolution of these issues is currently being addressed and we will provide an
update to shareholders in due course."

If UK sales alone "have increased significantly" what sort of volumes are going to be sold by this company globally when they really get going.

A good price to buy, now we have confirmation from the horse's mouth that MDW is more than on the right track.

As has been mentioned some time ago, plenty of newsflow regarding new distribution deals to come and lots of exciting products in the pipeline.

overgrowth - 27 May 2004 23:06 - 109 of 145

I'm surprised there's so little interest here for a company which has just risen 32.6% today.

banjomick - 27 May 2004 23:32 - 110 of 145

me too,any reason?

overgrowth - 27 May 2004 23:52 - 111 of 145

I reckon a lot of folks looked at the potential earlier in the year, bought in at a high (12-14p) and reluctantly sold at a loss after the widely reported "imminent" distribution deal took a few months longer than expected and the share price dwindled helped along by general market conditions.

This RNS is just the start - lots more news to come, we just need to be patient.

overgrowth - 09 Jun 2004 23:33 - 112 of 145

Looks like folks are just starting to buy in again. Just as I was hoping to pick up a cartload at 5p!!!!!

overgrowth - 18 Jun 2004 08:41 - 113 of 145

There appears to be renewed action in MDW (albeit slight) recently folks - keep an eye out for news as this is will soar when news confirming the US distribution deal comes out.

stocktock - 18 Jun 2004 08:54 - 114 of 145

I am holding for the long term. I managed to purchase 30,000 this am (further increasing my holding whilst this shares are in recline) - I believe these shares are extremely cheap bearing in mind the fundamentals and the extensive medical products they have. The potential is vast bearing in mind the amount of health service organisations and individuals who would use these equipment. For those who hold and have note checked out there web site - they should. The site is very enlightning. Do notworry about the recent downfall and fluctuation in prices - sentiment is also following the market and unfortunately Mediwatch has been included in this - unjustified!Do not expect to make a quick buck - but for those who hold patience will be rewarded. As usual do your own research and find the time to speak to the Director of Mediwatch - which I did. This discussion alone gave me further confidence in their products. Regards

overgrowth - 18 Jun 2004 18:41 - 115 of 145

stocktock - I'm in for the long term and totally agree with all points apart from "Do not expect to make a quick buck" - MDW is on a lot of watch lists waiting for the deal to be confirmed, as soon as that happens the price will be way above 10p in an instant.

Slightly longer term we could well be looking at a small company making it to the big time. 1-2 years with the right deals and products (all in the pipeline - not pie in the sky), we're likely to be looking at a price range of 50p-70p.
