Amities / l have been away for 3 months ( work and not pleasure ) so please excuse the latter passage which is somewhat retrogressive. ... A couple of points - Stanelco is by no means a "new" company . lt has been in the RF and optical fibres biz since the 1950's and, curiously, whilst in private hands they continually turned a profit .Even a few years ago their results illustated they were making a small but positive 800k stg p/a profit.. ..So tell me ? What Happened ? As if i didnt know . The same old hoary fable - THE COMPANY BELIEVED THEY HAD A NUMBER OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTIES WHICH COSTITUTED THE BEST DISCOVERY SINCE THE WHEELL. So they embarked on a frenzy of presentations feeding those gathered astounding predictions, which upon reading now, seem either demented or obscene. Quite humerous too. !!!! They verge on the realms of a Flyagaric bizzarre fantasy . So led by a servile, weak, lnept, & vaccillitating board and senior management who lack the neccassary skills to deal with demanding investors. they abandon the cash producing side of operations and pin all their hopes on the mast of Greenseal and a plethora of half decent ideas in the bloody packaging sector in which exists a massive number: and a sector in which competition and margins are ferocious. .... Then the very serious hype began in earnest . Talk of deals with Wal Mart gave SEOs sheer momentum such a boost that it was madness not to buy .For its sheer momentum had reached the point , to which the scholarly Oxford Prof Hawsborn ,labelled ,"the take off into self sustained growth. ln other words -A roller coaster ride.. lam convinced new investors imagined making money in the markets was piss easy after flirting with this one. - upon which the vast majority of traders jumped ship @30p ..... ,,,..;Meanwhile whilst tanning themselves somewhere exotic ,the board were busy writing erroneous, misleading, vague and totally irrelavent RNS whose frequency ,and mistiming , only served to demean and bastardize the whole reasoning for RNS'S .And furthermore made them look like raw amatuers which of course they are . .They give us time scales on certain projects and trials / and when the time arrived we got nothing . : Simple as that - no more is heard , What was almost criminal was they never once seriosly attepted to address their cashflow problem which must have impressed Wal Mart no end. lt was as if the company was being run on a week by week basis .Last summer.for example they went to the city for 3.5 million in order to make right a aquisition . YET this was in in the full knowledge that cashburn would make it inevitable they would be back cap in hand ; which a few months later , of course they were, for 13 million stg. . ..agghh sod it you all know the script here. lts DIRE !!! . ....As for the future - Well i will wager ANYONE that the enormous overhang of stock at the 1p level -All 13 million pounds worth of them ( thats 13million x 100 ,,)= ,, big gulp ..1.3 billion !!! will ensure SEO will never rise to 2p for 3 cosecutive days during 2007 . lt will need really solid hard copy . Tangible contracts .lt needs Wal Mart. But rumours persist that Wal Mart wants a proven American partner. and not a posse of charlatans and raggamuffins that SEO must present . Any takers ? ......@+ J `. lncidentally wavey' you wont get a relavent response from anyone who has a clue ...........je m' en vais maintanant ..Faire attention et bonne chance . bien affecalment.-@+ J ......Mind you - a million for a mere 10k makes u think lol . ......

Does anyone know how long or under what conditions letters of intent remain valid. I would imagine the companies referred to around Sept. in respect of LOI have had every opportunity to get out of the agreement and I suspect this is what has happened and that Wagner is now trying to pursue new avenues. If the LOIs were still valid SEO would have said so and updated us by now. The fact that they themselves had no material effect on earnings means that failure to convert to contracts would mean an RNS was not necessary.
Any thoughts?????

There has been much discussion here on LOI's in the past. My understanding is that it would depend on the wording as to how long they would remain valid - i.e. they may say 'We intend to pay SEO lots of dosh for a Greenseal machine if they can get one working by the 14th. January' or 'We intend to purchase 20m tonnes of Starpol from SEO if they are in a position to supply it by 31st September'
I would imagine the August LOI's are now dead, possibly due to SEO's failure to deliver what the customer 'intended' to buy, possibly because Sphere scuppered the deals.

Starpol 3000 has NOT been put forward for approval as they have not yet decided on the final make up of the product - hence no news.
The letters of intent may well be in trouble - who knows, the company refuses to talk to anyone.
The timetable of events as I see them could be a share consolidation after the results - which will be awful -then a token contract - then a buyout at a level which hopefully allows the poor private investor to get their money back - but the price in my opinion due to lack of anything really impressive could be as low as 3.5 to 4p.
The only comfort I have is the holdings of the institutions who hopefully have more of an idea of what's going on then any of us - to put it bluntly the private investor means nothing to Stanelco - sadly we are expendable and always will be.

french connection: Your posting was amusingly written, as usual. Welcome back on the TDYK principle (the devil...). Good retrospectie analysis. pinnacle's post is also to the point and we need to put the two together. Yes, SEO management (particularly White and Balchin) were naive beyond redemption - (OTTAOTB) - off their trolleys and on their bikes. Why did they go - because the institutions, led by Schroders saw them as the problemn not the solution. The institutions, party to inside info that the small investor does not have, will have concluded: (a) there is real value at the placing price to the company's technology; (b) the key, people wise, is the appointment of a sales director whilct retaining the CEO and Finance man; (c) the cash raised is adequate to see the company through to positive cash flow; (d) that some of the prospects are real; (e) that the technology, perhaps with appropraite tweaking is a sound basis for company development. They will accept that the company is not going to take off overnight and that the road ahead may be rocky. But they will also have concluded that the opportunities are real. Back to the same old conclusion: patience is a virtue and caution is the watchword.

On looking up the posts on the other side, you'll see that someone is indicating that SEO also produce or are involved with RFID and imply that Pullsline uses that technology. I do not believe SEO is developing anything RFID-wise, and Pullsline simply uses a multi-layer technolgy:
"Pulsline uses a unique patented multi-layered laminate construction.
Patents granted in UK, Europe, USA.
This unique security seal has a peel back tab, which once removed, is designed to reveal a personalised validation message. This can also include a hologram. If the seal is completely removed from the product/packaging then a visible message appears on the seal and the same message is transfered onto the product. This void style message contains a coating to ensure a sealed non-tacky feel to the residue left on the product."
