Made money in the past, not in at present and can already smell smouldering fingers if I get anywhere near it! lol

ptholden - 22 May 2008 15:33 - 2482 of 3050

Bounced on the NYSE from a low of roughly 570p earlier, will be interesting to see if it's a daily DCB!

ateeq180 - 22 May 2008 15:34 - 2483 of 3050

whats dcb

ptholden - 22 May 2008 15:35 - 2484 of 3050

dead cat bounce :)

ptholden - 22 May 2008 15:37 - 2485 of 3050

For info the small recovery in the US was accompanied by falling volumes on the 5min chart which would seem to suggest that the recovery will have no legs and to expect further falls this afternoon.

ateeq180 - 22 May 2008 19:11 - 2486 of 3050

hoping for a better day tomorrow.

hlyeo98 - 23 May 2008 15:03 - 2487 of 3050

Looks very likely SOLA is a short now at 575p.

dealerdear - 23 May 2008 15:08 - 2488 of 3050

The problem with this stock is it will probably do the exact opposite of what we expect!

hlyeo98 - 23 May 2008 15:59 - 2489 of 3050

I don't think so...US equities are tumbling badly as the Fed has cut its forecast. SOLA is clearly a SELL now at 575p.

HARRYCAT - 23 May 2008 16:08 - 2490 of 3050

I agree. Logic would tell you to sell now if you are still sitting on profit. Down to test the 440 level, imo.

hlyeo98 - 23 May 2008 16:17 - 2491 of 3050

I got out at 630p.

HARRYCAT - 23 May 2008 16:18 - 2492 of 3050

What price did you get in at, may I ask?

Falcothou - 24 May 2008 12:21 - 2493 of 3050

It seems that the US likes this stock a whole lot more than the UK with its dual listing. I wonder if there is a trading opportunity with this love hate relationship... buying it at or near the UK close when day traders exiting shorts will be buying back so as not to hold over night and then selling in the morning once the spreads narrow. I have not scoured the overnight premium this attracts as this is pure theory but it seems to have done it yesterday 5% even with a plummeting Dow. Perhaps the biggest risk would be a big oil sell off!( we can only hope, those oil barons' missiles must be getting bigger by the day!) as sola seems to be a bubble energy play and might tank if oil dropped post uk close. Any thoughts?

dealerdear - 27 May 2008 08:55 - 2494 of 3050

Hope you didn't short it.

Greyhound - 27 May 2008 08:59 - 2495 of 3050

Back in on the open for me.

hlyeo98 - 29 May 2008 21:46 - 2496 of 3050

I still think SOLA is rightful to sell at 660p. No regrets once you are in profit.

dealerdear - 29 May 2008 22:33 - 2497 of 3050

"SOLA is clearly a sell now at 575p"

Proved incorrect I feel. lol

As I said, this stock will do the opposite to what you expect.

R88AVE - 30 May 2008 16:02 - 2498 of 3050

The chart looks like its going to surpass the high time into next week. Good recovery in US and here. This sp seems to remain bullish.

ptholden - 30 May 2008 17:28 - 2499 of 3050

The chart has just made a lower high and looks destined to fall further to me. But WTFDIK? 660p now a key level for any further rally.

hlyeo98 - 30 May 2008 19:36 - 2500 of 3050

I think SOLA will head downwards but it may not be in a straight line as some people think.
