Very positive RNS but still no movement in share price ?
Testing to take 10 days and steam equipment will be in place around that time. Should see some positive movement between now and test results and then on and up and hopefully around end of July Monterey will start so a positive time to be in these IMHO.

Hi Driver, not yet but have them on a watch list. Topped up on SUN instead today, it is their AGM tomorrow and I have a feeling that they will have more good news. Looking good for BLR.

Changed my mind at the last minute Driver, bought a very small number, 20k, just to get my foot in the door!

Nothing new on that announcement just confirms what we already knew!!
Kim, welcome onboard SER, been in for years now, yep the sp took a massive +120% rise last week so expecting further drops. With the spread large anyway the MM's can't keep the price high...!! Good luck all the same with your 20K, I'm sure you already realise you'll need alot more to get a decent profit..

Cheers Explosive, 20k was actually a mistype when I was making my purchase, I only had a few seconds left and had intended to buy 200k; it was too late by the time I realised what I had done!! Never mind, I will probably hang on to my 20k indefinitely now; if SER becomes another Shell or BP it won't look too bad, even after the 15 for 1 consolidation. Nothing wrong with dreaming!!

Well a 1 for 1 offer from BP in takeover would be a pretty wicked dream... I'd be a multimillionaire over night!!! Gooood dream!!

Just recieved from BLR if you have'nt seen it.
Shareholders
Tom Winnifrith of T1ps mentioned Black Rock in an article dated 27th June He continue to maintain that Black Rock's assets (in fact Arce on its own) are as attractive as ever and clearly worth a multiple of today's price even on a heavily risk weighted basis. With the shares trading at 1.4p, the stance is "speculative buy".

Does anyone know why you can sell upto 1000000 BLR in 1 hit @ 1.40 but you can only buy a max of 15000 @ 1.60 why hasn't the price gone up

Because you can't see for much higher than 1.4. Obviously someone is buying up shares... Time will tell as large holding have to be announced in RNS.

Test results due on Wednesday roughly so should see a rise there if all gone well. The price did not move on the news of 50 ft. pay zone and shows of hydrocarbons over a 300 ft section of the well. All the other wells at Arce have only had a 30ft payzone so this could certainly be better. We shall see soon enough!

soul traders, yes you are correct. The steaming should increase the flow by 5 to 10 times initial flow. Look for to Monterey around August which is the company maker I believe!

Hello Soul, just got back from the sun. With the conspicuous exception of BLR (and to some extent SEY) I find myself a lot worse off on paper at least. (plus what I spent on hols!)
I've obviously missed a bit of excitement but it would seem, however, that I've got back just in time to see the sp rise on that head of steam we talked about in May!
Shame to see we lost Dr Square along the way. He claims to be a novice but he's a pretty shrewed one. He may just have got this one wrong.
Cynic. My apologies for my comment in May. You had posted essentially the same message two or three times without any corollary, so I incorrectly took you to be a serial deramper. Obviously not. I note, however, that we have yet to persuade you that Columbian heavy crude is worth a punt!

Hi Dave, good to have you back. Seems like you've been gone for ages - I hope you had a good time in spite of coming back to find that the markets have taken a dive. I won't mention Victoria Oil and Gas in case anyone of a sensitive disposition is reading! (I, for one, still have a core holding and am strongly tempted to come back to the table for more on any dips between now and late autumn).
As for BLR, well, it has been a case of typical tiddler swings-and-roundabouts over the last month or two, BUT the newsflow looks ever more positive and I am hopeful (i.e. near-enough certain) that our patience will be duly rewarded! I still maintain that there are many other E&P co's out there with far bigger valuations and far fewer known quantities regarding the presence of hydrocarbons. Time will tell.
It is a pity about the Doc; still at current prices maybe he'll be tempted to dip a toe in the water once again.
Cynic is likely to be having difficulties getting into BLR at the moment as he only likes to do CFD's, for which the co needs to have a market cap of 10 mil. I hope he has his alerts set, as no doubt we'll be there soon :o)
As for me, I'm happy to fuel my punt with Colombian Heavy Crude, any time. Although a whiff of North Sea Gas as mentioned by Rutherford would be nice too.
So, here's hoping for a busy summer season.
Best wishes,
ST
