Cynic,
Yes.
But Cameron is leading from his rear.
Sorry meant the rear as usual.
Give me your pearls of wisdom on the long term future of Libya.
After NATO puts ground forces in, will it be another quagmire.
(From earlier postings I thought denigrating the government was your forte.)

but i don't need to post twice for emphasis lol!
the blatant rationalisation of using air-power as alleged protection of innocents is pretty flimsy and farcical - but no surprises there, but acceptable to the world at large it would seem, so i guess i'll run with it
ground forces even under the NATO banner are (would be) a different issue entirely, and that makes me very uncomfortable, and i'll ponder on same as and when it comes to pass and under exactly what circumstances etc
overall, i'm 90%+ certain that MG and his family will be exported one way or another within say 2/3/4 months ..... though that will leave something of a vacuum, there are reasons to hope that the transition will be reasonably comfortably - as seems to be happening in egypt - not least because sunni/shiia antagonism is not at the heart of the matter

I believe that Libya has $70 Billion stashed away. Maybe it will be used for the Portuguese bail-out. With such a surplus, Gadaffi hasnt done so badly. Instead of sending him into exile, maybe he could head FEEF and run the Portuguese economy.

Cameron, while on holiday, seems Hague to sink.
What are the new policies for Libya.
Mind there are only a few hundred Libyans being killed.
A bit like Gaza.
When does our half pint genius think this in unimportant too?
Another ill thought out policy, put in to progress with out discussion of the involved parties and due for a reversal.
This government will be known as the strong U turn government.

Cynic,
As you are a genie, I thought you might have some ideas, especially after your postings.
Ah well, understand your feet are in the sand.

This is going on for longer than I thought. Much pussy footing, not enough action against Gadaffe family.
Doha meeting just a chance for Mr Fudd to jack up his expences.

I see Hague has his cap in hand at Berlin.
Should go down well after previous anti European rhetoric.
Is he begging from other EU nations or NATO for help.
Cynic, as suggested before the Cameron and Hague's band standing earlier had little strategy or grown up command structure.
C and H showing immaturity once again.
America seem to be saying over to you Limeys.
Mind it may be diversionary tactic from Lib/Tory policy splitting .

Seems very quiet.
No opinions.
Cynic,
Can you gives the latest news from Libya and opinion where the coalition (either in Libya or this country) should go?

military advisers.........that's the way Vietnam started......whatever the UK does we can't "win" as they will hate us in the end cos we're infidels on Muslim lands in their eyes......we should stop behaving like unelected world PCSO s.......in contrast to the Americans being real world policemen.....about time Britain stopped thinking "we" should do things in other people's countries......civil wars are none of our business

civil wars are none of our business

We are a third rate power and shouldn't attempt to be the embodiment of a world police force. We are too small for our boots.
Humanitarian relief is one thing, invading other countries is another.
I won't respond to your niave/incredibly stupid comment but do you really think just because the Eastern tribes are in rebellion against the evil MG that somehow makes them the goodies?
