Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

On my Stockwatch as soon as the first trade of the day is done that share details rectifies itself, to currant details.
So now no problem.

Unless they don't trade of course! Dates on charts seem to be wrong too.

All,

We had an issue with the resets overnight which caused this issue this morning. I apologise for the inconvenience.

level 2 down again, come on sort it out, this is garbage the last 2 weeks.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 25 May 2007 12:14 - 5709 of 7315

dave,

Please accept my apologies we had an issue with the feed just before midday which has now been resolved - we are looking through the system as we speak to clear any residual issues.

reliability is the name of the game, suddenly i'm watching 2 diff prices from advfn monitor and delayed prices from moneyam level 2. The sooner google get their system up and running the better, may sort the wheat from the chaff with the rest.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 25 May 2007 12:26 - 5711 of 7315

dave,

rest assured we will mount an investigation into what caused this to make sure in does not happen again.

Dave - the problem is that if Google launch their rumoured Level 1 and Level 2 data systems there's no guarantee of 100% uptime. In a recent study Google's Blogger was shown to be one of the least reliable blog platforms with 95% uptime. I use a lot of their services but to say many of them are half-assed would be generous.

Now it would be nice if the next iteration of Google Finance would shake some of the existing providers out of their complacency - spur them to innovate and enhance what they have - but more likely it will cannibalise their customer base potentially leaving us with whatever third-rate service Google deem to provide us with. We should perhaps be careful what we wish for :-)

l2 down again?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 31 May 2007 14:37 - 5714 of 7315

PW,

What are you seeing and on which epic codes?

Ian

PW Carnell - 31 May 2007 14:38 - 5715 of 7315

blank screen

IanT(MoneyAM) - 31 May 2007 14:40 - 5716 of 7315

PW,

There ar eno problems at this end - sounds like your machine is struggling to download the java - try logging out and closing your browser and then log back in and try again. If this doesn't help, you may want to try restarting yoru machine.

If none of the above works, please e mail me ian@moneyam.com and I will try to help you further,

ian

Kayak - 31 May 2007 15:23 - 5717 of 7315

Dear Kayak,

Its been a while since you last logged into MoneyAM; perhaps you have been taking a break from the market...

OK give me a break, I was in last night, I didn't know I had to log in every single morning :-)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 31 May 2007 15:24 - 5718 of 7315

Kayak,

Apologies for that - as you may have guessed it was sent in error to you.

Ian

Kayak - 31 May 2007 15:48 - 5719 of 7315

kernow - 31 May 2007 15:50 - 5720 of 7315

Own up Ian - I think this e mail actually went to everyone. I got one and log in pretty much every day.
