ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Stan - 17 Dec 2018 09:00 - 5822 of 5941

Seems Morgan Stanley might have got it right this time. (Post #5810)

tomasz - 17 Dec 2018 15:46 - 5825 of 5941

Clearly brexit idea is working.. in opposite direction..a bunch of dummies at the steering wheel

tomasz - 17 Dec 2018 15:51 - 5826 of 5941

Chart is looking scary now, a lot of damage

cynic - 17 Dec 2018 16:01 - 5827 of 5941

especially if anyone is dumb enough to be trying to trade long from earlier

tomasz - 17 Dec 2018 16:20 - 5828 of 5941

Still not as dumb as pro brexit dummy.. a preposterous dummy

cynic - 17 Dec 2018 16:25 - 5829 of 5941

whatever that means

Stan - 17 Dec 2018 16:33 - 5830 of 5941

In this instance you... who else 😂

cynic - 17 Dec 2018 16:35 - 5831 of 5941

brexit has little or nothing to do with the collapse of ASC ...... read the profit warning!

iturama - 17 Dec 2018 16:40 - 5832 of 5941

It has nothing to do with Brexit, Tomasz. German online retailers are down also. As are markets in general. Fact is that some people, particularly in Europe, don't have money to spend. No problem in the EU Commission, however, they have just backdated themselves a nice salary increase.
The UK market remained firm.

cynic - 17 Dec 2018 16:44 - 5833 of 5941

ah, but i think tomasz is suffering from some nasty burns

tomasz - 17 Dec 2018 17:32 - 5834 of 5941

iturama, your reassuring tone is always welcome, but in my view there is one major factor crippling consumer confidence here. The uncertainty coming from the fact of very strong (5th or 6th)economy getting out of somehow equilibrium. And this is not just from Uk perpective, the rest of the equilibrium is about to get hit too and they know that. There is plenty of cheap money in the systems but no confidence to use due to uncertainty ahead. You can clearly see US is keeping spending. Economies in UK and EU are bracing for impact and the last part of machinery the consumer is reacting exponentially. There are other factors like weather, sure, but i dont thing is significant. UK and EU represents 60% of sales so if these guys ducking as they are now.. Tomasz is looking at just low double number of gain now.. instead of triple..

Liberum Capital today downgrades its investment rating on ASOS Plc (LON:ASC) to hold (from buy) and cut its price target to 2800p (from 8000p).

cynic - 18 Dec 2018 09:47 - 5836 of 5941

amazing how easily tomasz has always managed to switch between pidgin and complex english structure

Stan - 18 Dec 2018 10:22 - 5837 of 5941

Tomasz has it in his post above Alf, but as usual you fail (or more like are blind) to the relevant facts.

cynic - 18 Dec 2018 10:28 - 5838 of 5941

intrinsically nothing whatsoever to do with ASC

their counterpart in germany whose name i forget, is also suffering and indeed the whole euozone economy has pretty much ground to a halt

interesting that BOO still says loud and clear that it continues to perform well ..... hope their figures in due course bear this out

Stan - 18 Dec 2018 11:32 - 5839 of 5941

So you are right and most of the rest of the UK and virtually all of Europe are wrong are they?

HARRYCAT - 18 Dec 2018 13:12 - 5840 of 5941

Blimey Stan, season of goodwill and all that!
Looks like all markets are starting to turn down now, so hunker down and keep taking the divi's.
