It won't help. There will be a referendum and Cameron will campaign for a stay in vote and that is how the public will vote.

considering that no one expected more than 290/295 seats, it's amazing the polls and the calcs, even from ashcroft, were so far adrift

i really do hope that the conservatives do not prove as spiteful in their own way as labour would have done in theirs
however, i don't see how you lop £12bn off the welfare budget in the course of the parliament, but then that of course becomes the annual budget, without serious nastiness
