Given 20% back...... drat.

Think your right Harry.

cynic - 15 Mar 2013 08:58 - 702 of 1559

personally, i would assume nothing of the sort ..... even in the last 10 days, sp has had a HUGE rise

further, i am of the opinion that the markets in general are due for a sharp retrenchment ...... dow has now risen for 10 straight days (i think), and it is also already at a critical point where a reaction is (over)due .... i'm already short there and shall almost certainly increase that position

goldfinger - 15 Mar 2013 09:09 - 703 of 1559

Technicaly I agree as stock charts are mostly overbought and Indicies look very topy but fact is if you check fundys plenty of stocks arent what you would describe as very expensive.

This is not a dot com kind of situ as some would have you believe. Then you had stock not even making a profit on massive multiples to sales and those that were making a profit P/Es were 30 to 100 plus in many cases.

These markets will be higher come the autumn I reckon.

ps, only went for a cup of tea and TCG was +2 when I got back -5 I thought S-ITE.

cynic - 15 Mar 2013 09:18 - 704 of 1559

These markets will be higher come the autumn ..... too far away and you may be right; in the meantime there has to be a serious correction + "sell in may ...."

goldfinger - 15 Mar 2013 09:20 - 705 of 1559

Serious Correction!...nah, a pull back at some time but not a serious one. Think M+A will be big this year. Balance sheets stuffed with cash.

goldfinger - 15 Mar 2013 09:21 - 706 of 1559

Time to take the plunge Harry?.

goldfinger - 15 Mar 2013 09:29 - 707 of 1559

Opened a day trade. nearly in profit already.

doodlebug4 - 15 Mar 2013 09:59 - 708 of 1559

Same as last Friday when a lot of people got mugged into selling & a lot of stop losses were hit. It's like an action replay of the same mind games. I could be wrong but I think this will bounce again, if not this afternoon, on Monday. I agree with cynic that the markets are due another correction, but this share has already proved that it can move upwards when the FTSE is going South.

goldfinger - 15 Mar 2013 10:00 - 709 of 1559

From yesterdays Morgan Stanley note........

The need for a large rights issue appears to be receding

One alternative to a rights issue could be a convertible
bond and/or 10% placing......ends

Any thoughts on this?????????

goldfinger - 15 Mar 2013 10:01 - 710 of 1559

Im in profit already on my new trade, amazing stock.

cynic - 15 Mar 2013 10:37 - 711 of 1559

and i'm even more pleased that i cashed in at 123.75!

doodlebug4 - 15 Mar 2013 10:58 - 712 of 1559

GF, regarding a possible placing, I'm sure the Board of TCG could manage that without any dilution to the share price. Iofina achieved that in May last year, raising £4.3 million in the process. The IOF share price was 37p at the time of the placing.

cynic - 15 Mar 2013 11:01 - 713 of 1559

i'm really thick, so please explain to me how a company can have a share placing - a rights issue by any other name, except the ordinary investors don't get a look in - and NOT dilute the equity (and thus the share price)

goldfinger - 15 Mar 2013 11:10 - 714 of 1559

Might not get a look in like the institutions but still positive long term for PIs.

doodlebug4 - 15 Mar 2013 11:12 - 715 of 1559

cynic, I'm sure you aren't thick at all! I will post the info on how IOF managed it. Have to go out for a couple of hours - see you later.

cynic - 15 Mar 2013 11:16 - 716 of 1559

trust me - i know i'm thick; there are many more in MAM who are thick in their own ways but either do not recognise their shortcomings or refuse to recognise them :-)

HARRYCAT - 15 Mar 2013 11:31 - 717 of 1559

I'm not fick so I recognise your shortcomings. ;o)

Fred1new - 15 Mar 2013 12:45 - 718 of 1559

Cynic,

I agree with your self observation in posting 716.

Realisation at last.
8-)

cynic - 15 Mar 2013 12:54 - 719 of 1559

you ought to recognise yourself in the other part too then, unless you prefer to delude yourself

goldfinger - 15 Mar 2013 13:05 - 720 of 1559

Now now boys, take it to the 'talk to yourself thread'.
