MELDEX. Double your money- quicktime. (MDX)

kitosdad - 12 Dec 2007 16:20

The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

You really need to get out more on a Friday evening, Tabatha.

FYI, during your extended vacation, I was barely here at all, but your return does indeed provide some light entertainment - call it what you will, my friend.

Fred - I ask again, what exactly have I done to upset you? I can't recall ever having a cross word, but that's twice you seem to believe I have.

Fred1new - 04 Jul 2009 16:22 - 7342 of 8631

BA, you haven't, but as I believe in conspiracy theories, I am trying to get my retaliation in first. 8-)

Dil - 05 Jul 2009 11:02 - 7343 of 8631

Are you subscribing to the SCLN Fred ?

I'll understand if you don't wish to say one way or another.

Big Al - 05 Jul 2009 14:55 - 7344 of 8631

You're a very strange guy, Fred. ;-)))))))))

Great news at Meldex Towersbut rather than I ramp my beloved suspended stock then have to listen to the bouncy babble.. I will let Andy explainOh TFLBT and the previous BOD are at this very moment set up base camp in their toilets where the sale of Ambi-Pur in the local supermarkets has quadrupled
My sincere thanks to Barry/Garry as they have now achieved the miracle all invested had hoped forthe re-list should now be a formalitythe previous bod related and shorting gang on ADV.. have suddenly developed laryngitisit is now one way traffic!!! take the piss out of Barry at your perilThe egg on the Groovy Gangs face is at this moment scrambling!oh dear how sad?
Andy... I think you misinterpreted Barrys replywhich I believed he clarified BTW what is your honest opinion of Barry/Garrytell this thread what you now believe about that nastynasty manand I know you are honest!!
And bouncy...there is nothing strange about Fred...very astute...He sussed you right out....

Fred1new - 06 Jul 2009 10:01 - 7346 of 8631

Dil, No I haven't subscribed to SCLN. Majority of cash tied up and probably I prefer to watch from the sidelines.

However, I still think Meldex Technology and concept are valid and with sensible management "should" eventually be very profitable. Perhaps, a little more slowly than I wanted or expected.

BA. don't worry about me, one of my wives tells me, that she has found my tablets.

Possibly a sign the money isn't coming in as fast as they should want??

Probably better to wait and deal in the market i think

Thanks for posting the info. sp99.

You can still apply for CLN units - if you haven't already been e-mailed the document & application e-mail Meldex directly. As someone posted earlier in the week applications can't be checked to see if they are actually from shareholders because no one knows who holds in nominee accounts. No evidence of a holding is required with the application. So even if your in limbo between nominee and holding a certificate your application will be accepted.

All the best
RP

Is that legal?

Not wise to post that on an open BB IMO.

My guess is they will fall short of the target by some margin by the deadline, then we will see how skilled Barry is if he can turn debtors into SCLNers during the extension period.

I guess Bridge would be a likely candidate for up to 500k, so He's certainly got a decent chance if he can get a few large guys onside.

it will be an interesting few weeks....

ptholden - 07 Jul 2009 22:58 - 7351 of 8631

Haven't really been following this saga lately, but I understand the SCLN is underway which is avaialble in units of 2500 which can be exchanged at any time for 25000 MDX shares at 10p.

Correct me if I am wrong but the shares delisted at 7p or thereabouts and the last information with regard to the accounts uncovered some shoddy practises which vastly inflated turnover and profitability. Additionally, signifcant elements of the company have since been put into administration, closed or flogged off.

Now if I wanted to invest 2500 in MDX I would wait until they relist on PLUS (if they get that far) and buy 250,000 shares at the 1p they will likely re-open at.

Andy - 07 Jul 2009 23:10 - 7352 of 8631

ptholden,

So would I, as I expect a price lower than 7p, probably less than 5p, so people could possibly double their profit by buying in the market, IMO.

However, they have to raise the 6 million first, so some people will have to by SCLn's for it to relist in the first place.

tabasco - 08 Jul 2009 08:11 - 7353 of 8631

Good morning all>

Baguette and Bonka Natural prepared.AndyI dont know the comments of Mr. Pottyas he is on my filterI presume it is the desperado and tiresome Barry is a crook chantso I will ask you once againplease give your honest view on the progress and integrity Barry has shown since he took office at the towers.
One other pointI dont believe you realise the amount of money sitting on the sidelines waiting for a drop a bollock opening
This stock has been talked down by the desperate since Barry/Garry took controlit looked the perfect short the groovy gang have been fighting people that never come second.add to that the Army of staunch followers the pair haveand you end up with a powerful Garrison known as the "Towers"

Andy - 08 Jul 2009 08:35 - 7354 of 8631

Tabasco,

Good morning, and my honest opinion is that Barry has made a good fist of rescuing MDX from the ashes so far, and we shall see in due course whether he wil make he 6m, alhtough I doubt he will at the first attempt, hence the extention provision, where he will really have to use his skills to bring in the necessary cash.

There are a couple of negatives for me, one is the repayment of the Bridge loan, and the other is that depite being proclaimed as a "multi millionaire" by his local newspaper, Barry's take up of the SCLN seems a bit light (IMHO) although I do realise he is putting in the hours and effort, apparently for free.

The non publication of the accounts is another minor blemish, and I assume they must be awful, and that's why they want commitment for the SCLN first.

That aside, he has given MDX a chance to relist, and I think it will, at the second attmept, and Bridge may yet be forced to participate!, so then we will see what PLUS markets makes of a highly liquid stock.

Answers to your Qs as best I'm able to do at this time. Your Qs in italics. OK to post if you wish.

Best wishes,
Barry

The most important and positive statement Im able to make is that we firmly believe that the Company has an impressive array of technologies and products and the staff and relationships to exploit them, provided we can raise sufficient working capital to implement our plan.

Staff levels appear insufficient at present and very few relationships, to date, have borne any fruit.

Please outline plans to employ suitable staff and explain why you believe current/future relationships will prove successful this time around.

---------------------
Were doing things differently. First, we only have Keith Hemming doing sales of the Menoflavon brands. Whereas, under the prior regime we had 55+ people involved in making sales at a loss, Keith has structured the supply chain such that the products go from manufacturer to customer without our involvement other than invoicing and collecting payment. OK, so our sales volumes may be lower initially, but well make money on every deal.

Second, under the old regime our development team would take on all sorts of projects without upfront payments, operating on a hope-it-comes-to-something basis. No more. Any one or any party wanting any work from us must pay. If you dont value your resource, then why should others. Prior to the AIM listing we didnt lift a finger unless we got cash up front: P&G 1M, FMC $1.5M, Wyeth $500K, Boots 100K, Peter Black 1M, Perrigo $900K, and so on.

Third, were recruiting project leaders with first class backgrounds, as youll see over the next few weeks. Its the equivalent of Accrington Stanley signing Ronaldo. These people will work as consultants on a low fee basis with a big upside if the projects work out as planned. As Gary puts it you eat what you kill! They will not be taking on these roles lightly; theyve done their DD and understand the risk and reward of joining us.

Our partnerships will be forged on a proper basis, by which I mean, they pay and we perform. FMC was a well planned and very detailed deal, but fell off the rails somewhat for the lack of proper management of customer relations. It will be resurrected.
-------------------
The Company needs your help. We must raise a minimum of 6,000,000 in order to repay overdue debt, finance operations, and bring to market our technologies, each of which we believe has the potential to transform the fortunes of the Company.

Immediate debt payments ~2.4m?
Finance operations ?
Immediate technology costs 1.22m?
------------------
We estimate fixed costs of around 1.6M for the next twelve months, expended monthly save for insurance premiums. Technology costs are budgeted at 2M over the same period, but we do expect to receive contributions from customers. For example, Im hoping to close a deal that would fund Meltums. I will be working on other deals to reduce our contribution to developing our core-techs.

I will not speculate on immediate debt repayments for the following reasons. First, it would weaken my negotiating position. Second, if we hit the minimum sum, then before we draw it down it remains the property of the participants. Knowing that we can draw it down at will, provided we reach suitable settlements with creditors, will strengthen my negotiating position. Right now, there has been no way I could negotiate a settlement. How would I be able to pay? So discussions have been pointless. However, knowing that I can pay if a creditor agrees a deal, then it will focus its attention. And because funds from the loan note are ring-fenced by debenture, creditors will know that they cant benefit from waiting until the cash is drawn down before going for the jugular. They have to deal
-------------------
The maximum debt figure (15m) is very worrying although much of this figure is questionable. Pls give your opinion on the likely outcome of the litigation with Tonipharm and the payments that may be due to Medea and Pharma Logistik.

Pls confirm immediate debt payments that will be settled following receipt of financing - 2.4?

----------------------
Again, I will not speculate on most the numbers above, and I hope that in reality you wouldnt expect it of me. The only ones I will comment on are those being claimed by former directors. Over my dead body is the answer to those.
-----------------------
Keith is currently in discussion with distributors [for Menoflavon, Melprotect and Androflavon branded products] in Austria, Turkey, Czech Republic, Germany and the Middle East and we confidently expect to announce new and repeat orders for the brands during the year. Subject to the availability and amount of working capital available to the project Keith is confident of being able to grow sales revenues from these brands to an annualised run rate in excess of 3,000,000 by year end. It is our objective to grow these brands to a level at which their contribution will at a minimum cover all of the Companys fixed and administrative costs.

Will the minimum 6m funding be enough to provide adequate wc to grow MMA sales revenues to 3m by year end?

--------------------
Yes.
-------------------
What revenue level do these products need to reach to cover all of the Companys fixed and administrative costs?
--------------------
Around 4.25M.
-------------------
Crescina, Botoina and Slimthru The strategy of acquiring products having limited life-spans with a view to applying the Companys core technologies, although admirable, was in our opinion never achievable without substantial working capital in the order of many tens of millions of pounds sterling.

Are these wc figures applicable to our pipeline products?

--------------------
No.
--------------------
Sale of IP and other assets

We have therefore spent some time reviewing the value of the assets acquired and have concluded that there is a large amount of non core intellectual property and other assets which we will therefore wish to sell.

How much are we likely to raise thru the sale of IP and other assets?

--------------------
Dont know. There is now a worldwide database for auctioning surplus patents and TMs. When we get time well put ours up for sale and see what level of interest it generates.
--------------------
Potential claims against former directors and officers of the Company

What are the expected: timescales for claims; total recovery amount & litigation costs?

-------------------
Again, you really dont expect a detailed answer to this, do you? Wait and see, all documents will be in the public domain, some of them quite soon.
-------------------
Core Techs

Soluleaves Cigarette

What is the expected time to market (retail outlets) and estimated annual revenues/profits?

-------------------
We have a roadmap to bring this product to market, and as we said in the Chairmans letter we will not disclose it because we think its novel.
-------------------
What happened to the meltums products is it still in the Companys plan?

------------------
Yes, It forms part of the franchise.
------------------
Food additive to transport ingredients

Whats all this about?

What is the expected time to market and projected revenues/profits?

-------------------
A lot of food additives are delivered to the manufacturing process in liquid or powder form. This leads to contamination and waste issues. By delivering them in a protected format these risks can be eliminated.

Our offering is available now and were in discussions with potential customers. Were not going to reveal potential profits on a BB while were in discussions with potential customers; that would be rather silly.
--------------------
TabWrap

Discussions in this regard have commenced with two major pharmaceutical companies.

How many times have we heard that the Company is in discussions with major pharmas and then nothing ever materialises.

-------------------
Lots of times.
-------------------
Do we have any products in development with partners if not and we start from scratch again, what are the likely timescales to market for TabWrap products (anti-counterfeiting or other)?
-------------------
One. Nothing for at least twelve months. After that it will depend on how well weve done out job in commercialising the system.
-------------------
NRobe

As soon as practicable following completion of the Loan Notes, management will meet with representatives of FMC BioPolymer to determine the current status of the project both in terms of performance and commercial prospects.

Why no contact to date or anything to report at this crucial time?

-------------------
We have made contact, thats why weve been able to say that $500K needs spending to implement the agreed design changes. I dont want to waste time and energy talking about the project until we know we can deliver at our end, and to do that needs the minimum sum raised. What would be the point in sitting down with them to discuss future plans when we cant even come up with $500K?
--------------------
Wafertab

We continue to progress the Wafertab anti-migraine product with our European partner.
The project is in the technical development phase.

Are we looking at 3-5yrs before this product is on-sale?

-------------------
The partner is talking about eighteen months.
-------------------
Film

We intend to create an in-house film plant either by way of a joint venture agreement with a partner, or by relocating plant situated in Tampa to the UK.

What are the likely timescales and costs involved?

--------------------
If its a JV, then about four months and around $100K to move the kit.

If its our own plant, then around six months and $200K to move the kit.
--------------------
Future Financing

Following successful completion of the SLN Offer, the Company expects to have sufficient working capital to be able to operate for a minimum of 18 months.

How will the Company fund itself in the future?

--------------------
From cash flow and retained profits. Theres no point in doing all of this if we cant self fund within a reasonable time.
------------------------------------------------------

Thanks Barry.....

Tabasco

I see you remain as rude and arrogant as ever (please don't pretend you cannot read my posts, you've slipped up so many times in the past).

With regard to your comment 'it looked the perfect short' yes, it was and still is, I doubt that anyone sitting on a short position is losing any sleep wondering if the SP will rocket when and if it relists on PLUS. If you cast your mind back the sensible were calling short in the 30p region, perhaps even higher. Their money is safe.

In BJM's own words, MDX is now a start up company and until it proves otherwise by producing turnover and profitability it will remain so and the SP will perform accordingly. BJM has been trying to commercialise their IP for at least 10 years and with little or no success. In fact if you study the early days of this company whilst BJM was its CEO he made an enormous amount of money at the expense of shareholders (especially in the USA) whilst releasing RNS statements that came to absolutely nothing (seems to be some synergy there with the last board?).

As you well know I made no reference to BJM in my previous post, actually, I am impressed by the progress he has made; perhaps he's decided in the the twilight of his career he's going to put something back in rather than taking it out.

It might even be worth a punt on the open market, it's certainly not worth buying into the SLCN and sitting on an instant loss for a number of years.

Gausie - 09 Jul 2009 12:48 - 7359 of 8631

Someone needs to let turbotrader know that barry was referring to market cap rather than share price. And even then it's optimistic.

tabasco - 09 Jul 2009 13:44 - 7360 of 8631

That estimate stated by turbotrader might not be a million miles awayI personally know of substantial amounts waiting to zap a silly price.
