How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

An excellent days trading over here thanks to Cheltenham, given up on Southwell and just focusing with large stakes on Chelts.

Good to hear scrip
had a nice profit on the last winner following a 2nd and a 4th (punting more than trading)

Just broke my record for most profit in one race today, thanks to Cheltenham. You should definately try trading this than punting it Steve. All the prices move in slow motion, for an astute trader its just fantastic.

apart from Cheltenham will always trade over punting, but not for the festival. That said, did scalp a few ticks here and there today - it was rude not to. Ended the day in front so quite happy.
Well done on your record profit from one race - the champion hurdle? i assume youll be trying to break it again later in the week

"the champion hurdle"
If I knew which race that was I may be able to answer your question. LOL! There was a race today which was seeing a match rate of around 4-5k per second I guess that was it.
I'll be lining up bigs bucks for the remainder of the week in the hope of pushing the bar up a bit. Not sure how to trade the gold cup just yet, but will hopefully decide before Friday.

Scrip,
the 2.35 was the Arkle, the 3.15 the champion hurdle - they were the two heaviest betting events not that itll worry you.
Now the Gold Cup - thats much easier. Lay Beef or Salmon, then when youve done that, lay it again !!!

"Lay Beef or Salmon"
That seems to be a popular view.

Spot on Evo, forgot to add place lay as well
someone needs to tell people who are backing it that the race is at Cheltenham not Punchestown lol

any thoughts on the footie tonite
Inter should be good enough to beat Ajax but look very short at 1.48, especially when 0-0 sees them qualify
Villa look a big price at City, neither side playing well of late though Villa were better at the weekend and 4.7 looks a big price for a one off game

LOL!, BoS is one of few horses I have followed, it seems to stir a huge amount of debate among the racing fraternity.

I just wish there was an event like Cheltenham on every week, I'd be totally laughing. Is there a rank somewhere of the biggest races of the year?
