There was news today !

micky468 - 05 Jun 2007 20:30 - 964 of 1049

the news out today on Black Rock oil makes (seo) look good

moneyman - 05 Jun 2007 22:12 - 965 of 1049

Why ? Many didn't want more dilution wich is what would have happened if they had gone ahead.

austing2253 - 13 Jun 2007 08:34 - 966 of 1049

Can anyone explain what the net effect of the share consolidation and reorganisation will have on the SP. Will it be worthwhile holding onto these shares after the reorganisation as they say that 24p of the 25 p will be held in deferred shares which will be worthless?

I don't understand why BLR advise this to be beneficial? Sounds to me like a gross devaluation and shareholder loss.

I would be grateful if anyone can advise what the likely effect of this reorganisation will be.

Thank you.

Gerry

cynic - 14 Jun 2007 10:42 - 970 of 1049

i was being sensitive to the feelings of the mug punters who still hold in vain hope

skyhigh - 14 Jun 2007 10:44 - 971 of 1049

thanks! I'm one of the mug punters still holding in vain ! serves me right doesn't it!

cynic - 14 Jun 2007 10:46 - 972 of 1049

sure do! ..... though i did not have the balls to short this stock, i have been saying for many months that these super-viscous heavy oils are bad news in all sorts of ways as are the companies that try to extract them

Darradev - 14 Jun 2007 10:55 - 973 of 1049

Sky, Hi.

I got out yesterday at a loss, should have done it sooner but got caught in the 'headlights of hope'.

Anyway, for what it's worth I have had two share consolidations in my portfolio in the last year and each has resulted in a post consolidation position at least 40% lower in share value from the time the consolidation notice was posted. Not saying that this will happen here, but I am not willing to take that chance. I will watch from the sidelines for now and put my money to better use in the near term.

Rutherford - 14 Jun 2007 12:03 - 974 of 1049

Just to put a bit of balance into the share consolidation deal. I have held NOP from before their consolidation of 1 for 5 and have been very happy with the outcome regarding that one and hopefully this may end up the same way although undoubtedly a bigger gamble than NOP.

skyhigh - 14 Jun 2007 12:15 - 975 of 1049

Just sold my lot..had anough..lost too much already, should have done it along time ago.. now looking for a new home for my measly 600..
good luck to those staying with BLR

cynic - 14 Jun 2007 12:16 - 976 of 1049

vialogy may be worth considering

johnstonp - 14 Jun 2007 15:36 - 977 of 1049

access intelligence is better and at least they make a profit. definately getting out of oil explorers and into data storage and solutions (ACC) just bought at 5.71

skyhigh - 14 Jun 2007 15:42 - 978 of 1049

Already in ACC, having topped up recently...5.71 is a good sp to get in at for these...good company and ready for lift - off ! (imho).

For better or worse I've stuck my BLR 600 preceeds into SFX.. the're currently running at a discount to a recent .005p placing so I topped up on them.. should get news soon on disposal and new direction..they can only improve (imho)

cynic - 14 Jun 2007 15:44 - 979 of 1049

sky+john ..... go to the ACC thread and have a look at the VILE chart now attached

mcmahons - 15 Jun 2007 09:27 - 980 of 1049

Legged it out of this lot last week, 'sooner rather than later would have been the better option'.
On the conslidation front I have seen three of my shares over the last 2 years in this postion.
The result has been poor consolidation position at least 45% to 30% lower in value.
I am sure that some consolidations must go against the norm i.e lower value but for me this one looks even worse.
More lucrative shares else where.
