anyone who is feeling angry and is wanting to blame somebody. Don`t go down that path. You should all be responsible for making your own decisions. If you have lost pots of money then perhaps you should be reviewing your own investing/trading strategy and perhaps go on a course. Learn not to be a sheep!!!

Oilywag - 11 Oct 2005 08:44 - 11042 of 27111

If somebody had said to me that the volume of shares traded would be around 6m before 9am and then asked what I expected the majority of transactions to be, I would have definitely said BUYS

Funny old world isn't it?

Still holding for the big news.

The oily one

hewittalan6 - 11 Oct 2005 09:02 - 11043 of 27111

Yep, it's a funny old world all right. Fundamentally, this is the same SEO that was a sure fire buy at 20pps+, and was the subject of a 50pps party in the near future. If anything at all has changed, it is only for the good as SEO have gone to great lengths to show that it's line up is not just packaging in the UK, but many other products, with world wide potential.
The one thing that has definitely changed is traders realisations that products like this, and the contracts they can win, do not happen in the space of a couple of months. They take time and planning, and a market can forgive anything except a slow take up of an idea.
IMHO, the targets we have all set for the company will be achieved, but the timescales are now more realistic. If your target was to trouser it big time in the space of a few days, then this was probably the wrong one to pick. Me? I'm here for the long haul and still very confident that all will be well, given the time to develop properly.

shamona - 11 Oct 2005 09:08 - 11045 of 27111

Well the White clan will be down about 5 million quid on paper today, don't be surprised to see an rns to back up the sp.

TheFrenchConnection - 11 Oct 2005 09:16 - 11046 of 27111

My sentiments exactly shamona .......but will it indeed back the s/p ? Juste like some of the others didnt . @+ .......Rampers strangely tacit ,,,,,lol Wonder why ? @+ J

bosley - 11 Oct 2005 09:29 - 11047 of 27111

tfc, people are losing money, hope you are not lol-ing at them?

Sharesure - 11 Oct 2005 09:41 - 11048 of 27111

Watching paper profits vanish along with real losses too isn't a nice experience. Perhaps next time this rises, as I think it is certain to do when the notifiable orders start coming through, then it might rise with genuine long term holders buying in for a 2-3 year view. This has always been a prospect with big medium term potential. I'm tempted to load up even more because as others have said on here nothing has changed other than the news flow has become more erratic and less frequent.
I'm still awaiting responses to questions I put to the company a few weeks ago; being charitable I put that down to them being busy on getting orders. Hope that that is right!

KingKonggb - 11 Oct 2005 09:49 - 11049 of 27111

Now this might be a daft question, but the volume is considerably larger than normal, so is the sell off a ploy by the mm's to get more shares and knowingly waiting for the big order?

IMHO

Amities Bos / l neither find it funny nor excusable to laugh at other misfortunes. lf that was the impression given i apologise without reservation . l was merely poking fun at that ramper PM1 who recently stated i should be " exterminated " simply becuase i did not share his bullishness. A joke is a joke but im not taking that from ANYONE .......@+ J

bosley - 11 Oct 2005 09:55 - 11051 of 27111

tfc, fair enough.

Bugz - 11 Oct 2005 10:07 - 11052 of 27111

Paul.

I have been under the impression that the very reason that News has been slow RE: US CONTRACT is due to confusion over whether to move to Greenseal and then move to Starpol at a later date, or whether to jump straight in with Starpol and Greenseal from the start of any future deal.

I thought HW seemed to be leaning to the latter, contrary to your last post.

Of course this might have changed.

shamona - 11 Oct 2005 10:11 - 11053 of 27111

Problem with masterson is he's so deep into this he's lost his objectivity, his style of ramping has always been dangerous and can be very costly to those on margin who believed it.

The same happened with BES his last big ramp, many were left bankrupt.

Bugz - 11 Oct 2005 10:15 - 11054 of 27111

Sham.

I've had nowt to do with Masterson before, however this point of Starpol and Greenseal in any future contract ties very well into information I have heard.

Everything I read on here GENERALLY tallies with other 'research' I have done. He may be the biggest ramper on the planet for all I care, but from what I have read on here, he's bang on the mark I'm afraid. Good to know your aboard Sham - even though you're showing a loss, you wont be soon! ;)

KingKonggb - 11 Oct 2005 10:19 - 11055 of 27111

Sham,

I don't like to get personal with people, however the info by PM1 is greatly appreciated. As for ramping/deramping, I tend not to listen to anyone and just go on gut instinct and what the company is offering both in current and future prospects.

In the case of BES, can't comment, however with SEO, I do believe that their product portfolio is of considerable value. If they do propel themselves into the bigger league, or should I say when they do, then we will see a much bigger SP. Like you said in answer to me sometime ago, you're a trader in this stock, whereas I'm in for at least 3- 5 years. Hopefully the fluctuation now will be of little insignificance come my projected timescale. Might even buy some more at these prices.

As for yourself, hope you get your trades right.

Take it easy

Kong

shamona - 11 Oct 2005 10:21 - 11056 of 27111

Bugz

My concern is the lack of information from outwith Stanelco, they say Greenseal is cheaper then it's repeated on bulletin boards till it becomes fact; I want independant research showing it's cheaper and customers willing to pay for it.

Till then all the trials in world mean diddly squat.

I also don't believe the stuff about 45 fines for each leaking tray, masterson says that costs Northern foods 108 million quid a year!! I'd have thought a 10k a year labourer could check each tray but lets not upset mastersons figures so i'll keep that quiet.

Bugz - 11 Oct 2005 10:27 - 11057 of 27111

Sham.

I have to say I too cant agree with a number of his projected figures aswell. Perhaps he could be described as taking the 'optimistic' apporach, but the essence and knowledge of Stanelco's business is accurate, believe me. His posts follow exactly other information I have come accross. Only time will tell!

Anyway, not going to clutter the thread with non SEO stuff so I'll shut up!

Bema - 11 Oct 2005 10:36 - 11058 of 27111

As an investor that first found SEO at 15.5p i'm loving this chance to boost my holding at these lower prices.

Market sentiment many have changed but not company prospects.

My only dilemma is just where to catch that knife......... glad i have been buying in tranches at not in one go like i usually would.

stockdog - 11 Oct 2005 11:01 - 11059 of 27111

Bema - by the handle, if you want my advice. Lol!

Nealo - 11 Oct 2005 11:14 - 11060 of 27111

Thought I would drop by and say hello.

My goodness - almost 2000 postings since I last visited - some excellent postings by the regulars - but what a lot of noise by others discussing what I can only call irrelevances.

My 2.5 million shares looking a bit sick in the short term - although they are still above water just.

I am a long term investor so will not be selling any in the short term as I beleive that over the next 2 - 3 months a picture will emerge of a company transforming itself into a world beater. I might even take the opportunity to top up if the price drops below 10p in the short term - which is a possibility.

I expect good - but not startling news from the conference next week - these things take time - but I would expect news about collaborations - perhaps, not orders.

Best wishes to you all - back in a month or two

Nealo
