Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Before the days of Roll-on/Roll-off lorries were only there to pick up loads - no need to cross the Channel - Just more container ships needed, and in view of the drop in imports from China there should be plenty around at good rates.

cynic - 09 Jan 2019 10:26 - 11342 of 12628

not everything can or does move in containers

one of the major problems with uk has always been the massive cost of moving anything in/out of the country, which is one reason why we do very little biz in uk

Stan - 09 Jan 2019 10:33 - 11343 of 12628

Tat is why some of my sauces tasted a little odd.

Cerise Noire Girl - 09 Jan 2019 12:15 - 11353 of 12628

Iturama & Dilbert,

I haven't edited either of the aforementioned posts. If ever I edit a post for any reason other than a spelling or grammar correction, I always clearly point out the edit.

If you are unable to clearly read my writing, then I suggest you either go to Specsavers or back to school!

Cerise Noire Girl - 09 Jan 2019 12:19 - 11354 of 12628

Oh, and Grieve has another amendment lined up today which, hopefully, the Speaker will allow a vote upon. If that goes through, then Maggie Dismay will effectively become Parliament's Bitch at the end of next week, having no authority of her own on Brexit, and forced to take orders from others.

And the really funny thing is that the Tories can't get rid of her for another 11 months, and Corbyn is extremely unlikely to be able to get a vote of no confidence through.

Let them reap what they've sown!

:o)

Dil - 09 Jan 2019 12:22 - 11355 of 12628

Anyone mention you Hils or just a guilty conscience ?

Fred1new - 09 Jan 2019 12:27 - 11356 of 12628

Directionless?

Paranoid?

Fred1new - 09 Jan 2019 12:36 - 11358 of 12628

My guess is that JC and many Labour party MPs are happy to see T. Dismay digging her own grave and that for many of her present fellow Neo-cons deeper and deeper.

I wonder where her corpses will be buried.

I wonder if she will, like the good lady she obviously is, will resign if her "Brexit" deal is rejected.

Perhaps, she will find somebody else to blame.

Fred1new - 09 Jan 2019 12:38 - 11359 of 12628

Martini.

"Paranoid".

No. Just observant!

Martini - 09 Jan 2019 12:47 - 11360 of 12628

I was responding to Dil’s post. But if the cap fits .....
