Not as off message as you may think, jammyjimmy. because by a strange quirk of fate, that you would not believe if you read it somewhere like a free message board on the internet, all the above were designers and engineers, responsible for the first 2 retrofits of Greenseal machines on behalf of Stanelco.
Even stranger, at each incident a private investor in Stanelco, known only to authorities as "bosley" was seen lurking around doing a passable impression of a pantomime villain!!!

Does anyone have any news from the packaging show at NEC?

explosive - 08 Mar 2006 18:55 - 15550 of 27111

"Hello boys" ~ Playtex Wonderbra
"Lifts and separates" ~ Playtex Cross-Your-Heart bra, 1960s.

We all remember these slogans........... Now if all manufactures made bras who'd have the best slogan? Heres some to start us off while we watch SEO fall and clarify recent news!!

"The cream of Manchester" ~ Boddington's ~ for the nothern lass
"Celebrate the Moments of Your Life" ~ General Foods International Coffees ~ ;-)
"Get back your 'oo' with Typhoo"
"Only Smarties have the answer" ~ for those in training or the petite!!
"Oh what a feeling Toyota"
"Grab life by the horns" ~ Dodge
"If it's on, it's in." ~ Radio Times, MCBD

Over to you Alan for some spice!!

AH FINALLY somebody is doing some joined up thinking and we have a nice US SEO website.......

but then i realsied this is SEO.............. I think it is a toolling problem.

I mean for pitys sake who the xxxx puts up a new website without at least testing the links.

www.stanelcoinc.com try some of the links if you really want a laugh or cry

Giving them the benefit of the doubt again, this may be in test mode as the link from UK site to US site has gone, make sure your sound is up nice croaking frog

tweenie - 09 Mar 2006 16:37 - 15557 of 27111

I looked at the website. I was waiting for the crosshairs to appear , so I could take potshots at the butterfly.....
The musics super cheeesy.
hopefully the links etc will work at some point during this millenium.
lol.
In all hosesty my seven year old has a better website than that - and all the links work!

Worrier - 09 Mar 2006 20:22 - 15558 of 27111

NEC Packaging show today.

I could only stay for a short while in the middle of the day and the (double-size) stand was extremely busy with punters from the packaging industry. It did not seem appropriate for me to engage the SEO staff and take them away from their duty to sell the company products.
Some snippets gleaned or overheard, no particular order just what I recall:-

Howard had been around for a while but I did not see him
Martin, the CEO is in the USA
Terry was there yesterday
Kellogs want a biodegradeable liner for their cereal packets
Marks and Spencer reps visiting the stand
SEO will be at the big European Packaging(Paris? ) show later in the year

No Greenseal machine on display this time around, but quite frankly I would have been amazed if it had been there.
The promotion push on the stand was for Starpol/ Biotec / Frogpak lines.
Saw promotion of new Frog-Mat - a corrugated wrap-around I believe.

Starpol does have its competitors, but SEO has a good lead with this type of product.
"How would Stanelco cope with the ability to produce large tonnage orders of Starpol"? This question from me produced a hesitating answer that did not inspire me with confidence. Could be an issue ?

Nice to see a really busy stand and as a previous poster has stated there was very little biodegradable competition on view this day.

Still holding, not worried

Worrier - 09 Mar 2006 20:24 - 15559 of 27111

Ironic really but the stand was so busy I could not get answers to my questions.

If the stand had beenquiet I would have more answers but come away dissapointed by the lack of interest ! Is that a catch 22 ?
Not worried

hewittalan6 - 09 Mar 2006 21:41 - 15560 of 27111

Thanks for the info, worrier.
The Kellogs thing makes me wonder whatever happened to the plastic bag hype PM1 came up with. Love him or loathe him he was usually right about the product, even if he was a little over exuberant about the potential!!!
