Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Priscilla - 02 Mar 2005 13:32 - 1541 of 24230

Hilary doesn't like bubbly, bunny......why don't we share it? (I'll edit this before hilary sees it, with luck!)

It'll go well with jacket potato, caviar and sour cream. With a sprinkling of chives...

hilary - 02 Mar 2005 13:34 - 1542 of 24230

Too late .... I saw it.

:o)

Priscilla - 02 Mar 2005 13:35 - 1543 of 24230

OK, that's three for a bottle of chanmpagne. So time for a second bottle anyway. Who else would like a glass?
:)))

stockbunny - 02 Mar 2005 14:03 - 1544 of 24230

LOL well I have to admit to being a complete heathen, I only
like bubbly if it has orange juice in it! :>)

Priscilla - 02 Mar 2005 14:12 - 1545 of 24230

Bottle of Cava then for bunnykins ...and a jug of freshly squeezed blood oranges..... That should make the ears perk up nicely!

Yes, and one for opto too, of course.....

stockbunny - 02 Mar 2005 14:16 - 1546 of 24230

LOL the ears perk up and the body slump to the floor Priscilla, just
a glass of that stuff is enough for me, I can only be excessive with
Cab Sauv' or Shiraz Cab' or 'fizzy water' like Asti Spimanti or Lambrisco!
Yeah I know, no staying power, a total light-weight - LOL ;>)
Now brandy I can drink - odd that isn't it, tolerance built up over
the years I suppose.

Priscilla - 02 Mar 2005 14:21 - 1547 of 24230

Nothing wrong with being an expensive date, bunny!

(Start saving, opto! This bunny drinks bottles (yes, BOTTLES) of the finest brandy!)

opto's just turned a very strange greenish/grey colour.

optomistic - 02 Mar 2005 14:23 - 1548 of 24230

No Priscilla I haven't turned anything that's my natural colour :-)

stockbunny - 02 Mar 2005 14:23 - 1549 of 24230

No, Opto knows he's safe :>)
Actually at the risk of sounding a cheap date, Tesco's brandy
is OK too - all goes the same route ;>)

stockbunny - 02 Mar 2005 14:23 - 1550 of 24230

;>)
I'm waiting for Dave to appear and tell me he's got a consignment
of brandy at a reasonable price now, if I want to stock up!

Priscilla - 02 Mar 2005 14:25 - 1551 of 24230

It always tastes better if it goes via someone else's wallet first, bunny! But given his pallor, could you pass opto a snifter of brandy, please?

Spaceman - 02 Mar 2005 14:30 - 1552 of 24230

Well unfortunately it looks as though the global flyer mission is going to fail, I posted earlier that I felt they had a fuel problem and they have now confirmed that they think they have lost a lot of fuel, they now have insufficient to complete the mission without good tail winds. The global flyer soon heads out over the Pacific and they will want to decide how bad the fuel situation is before they start that long crossing. If they terminate it then Steve will probably land in Japan but if they do start the pacific flight they will continue to review it and if necessary terminate the attempt in Hawaii.

I hope the tail winds pick up and the attempt succeeds but if it does fail its really an indication of how difficult there pioneering flights are. Remember this is being driven by brilliant private individuals who are putting their reputations, money and lives at risk, they don't have to do it but in my opinion the world is a much better place thanks to people like this.

stockbunny - 02 Mar 2005 14:31 - 1553 of 24230

No problem, one small brandy for you Opto, medicinal purposes as
Priscilla is worried about you.

Agreed Spacie.

stockbunny - 02 Mar 2005 14:34 - 1554 of 24230

The burrow is experience email problems - they arrive but
stubbornly refuse to leave! Where's that carrier pigeon?

Priscilla - 02 Mar 2005 14:39 - 1555 of 24230

In the le cresuset casserole, bunny. Gently stewed since about 10am.

Why haven't I seen anything on the news about this global flyer, spacey?

stockbunny - 02 Mar 2005 14:41 - 1556 of 24230

Ah bun and curses - so i'll have to wait for AOL to resolve
it's email bottle neck then - gave this sort of thing up with
the car!

Spaceman - 02 Mar 2005 14:42 - 1557 of 24230

P you will !

Priscilla - 02 Mar 2005 14:43 - 1558 of 24230

Bun, how did you get the car to send your emails? I know it's a sort of delivery system, but, err.....

optomistic - 02 Mar 2005 14:46 - 1559 of 24230

Oh Priscilla, what a thing to do to pidgeons!!! I prefer the breasts thinly sliced and gently stir fried, leaves much more flavour in them :-)
Thanks for the brandy it is always good for the colour, perhaps if I had another I may aquire a nice warm glow.

Spaceman - 02 Mar 2005 14:50 - 1560 of 24230

P and a slightly more thoughtful answer ...

Its not well covered, technology and science are very badly reported, we don't see much about the likelihood that their is life on Mars, not that there has been life but that it is there now, its not confirmed but their seems to be a growing feeling that it is there. You don't here much about sub atomic particles and physics. Its not seen as sexy or interesting and its a shame.

But we see plenty about useless stuff like big ears visit to Australia and other trivia ;-)

Right how about a nice slice of LDC, any going spare ?
