Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

jj50 - 03 Mar 2005 16:06 - 1601 of 24230

Tea and gingerbread, fantastic.

Yes Priscilla, the only reason I come to Lamby's Lair
is to be educated!!!!!! LOL

Actually, if you watch Children's Newsround, GlobalFlyer made it on to
that too, so you can see I have a vast range of intellectual points of
contact :-))

Spaceman - 03 Mar 2005 16:08 - 1602 of 24230

P and JJ, Yes I am surprised it hasnt had more coverage, although the designers, builders and pilot are Americans, Richard Branson has paid a lot of the bills. He was "Reserve Pilot" but I dont think there was ever any chance of him flying it.

stockbunny - 03 Mar 2005 16:11 - 1603 of 24230

I like Branson, he's a good guy, does quite a lot that isn't always
publicised, has helped a lot of small businesses too apparently get off
the ground with investment. A true adventurer as well and always it seems
happy to back other true adventurers. I bet he would have loved the
chance though to fly it!!
:>)

Priscilla - 03 Mar 2005 16:12 - 1604 of 24230

How's he' getting on then, Spacie? When is he expected to 'cross the line' or 'land' as us techies would say?

Spaceman - 03 Mar 2005 16:40 - 1605 of 24230

Bunny, I agree we need more people like him but Steve Fossett is a much greater adventurer, I think global flyer would have been much to hard for Richard to fly.

P, Global Flyer is now over Colorado and is due to land at about 1915GMT in Kansas, they are flying slower to save fuel, their airspeed is now about 215knots and they were going about 350knots earlier in the flight.

Hello.

snoball - 03 Mar 2005 17:53 - 1607 of 24230

I like childrens new round too.
I wouldn't mind some of that tea and gingerbread, if there's any left.

Socrates - 03 Mar 2005 18:16 - 1608 of 24230

snoball
Let's make a fresh pot of tea, you can have the gingerbread I'll go with chocolate digestives.

snoball - 03 Mar 2005 20:07 - 1609 of 24230

Ooops! Seem to have drifted off. Mmmmmm...cold tea!

Spaceman - 03 Mar 2005 20:13 - 1610 of 24230

Here is a link to a page listing Steve Fossetts records, I guess it helps having a bit of cash..... but I think he is a bit special.

Bubbly in bucket and if no takers,
fresh orange to mix with it at breakfast time!

Lambykins - 03 Mar 2005 22:56 - 1617 of 24230

Thanks you jj I did like that champagne but i dont seem to be able to walk any more, i dont know why I only had about a pint of it. I think I will just have to lay here until I can get up again.

Spaceman - 04 Mar 2005 08:09 - 1618 of 24230

Morning All, just popping in for a quick Latte and Toasted Tea cake before I hurry off to work.

Oh how I love working again.

Priscilla - 04 Mar 2005 08:22 - 1619 of 24230

Morning, cherubs! Just dropped in to start the mulled wine for later. All ingredients are mulling nicely and I'll be back to heat it up well in time for the throwing of spherical-ish objects outside later. But we must find another name. We can't throw snoball(s)! He's such a nice chap. Suggestions welcomed.

Spaceman - 04 Mar 2005 09:02 - 1620 of 24230

Just updated the header with a little competition from Jeff, looks like a lot of fun.

Just a shame I dont know one end of a horse from another ;-)
