Morning all. Note that wasn't a good morning as I am exceptionally pissed off. So apologies now for being in a really bad mood all day.
Bluey that was exceptional timing last night with the dinner, and I was just about to sit down and tuck in when I had the following text come in "Just a quick text 2 to say thinking of you n hope you are ok x"... would anybody care to guess why I'm just that little bit annoyed, 2 months of no contact, and then that. Bob (the kangaroo) didn't know what had happened poor thing.
Anyway, if any worldy wise sages want to suggest a logical and reasonable explanation as all of the reasons I can think of are slightly one sided.

JS - my personal self-preservation reaction to a text like that, having had a period as you say with no contact, would be to delete, but that's just me...

Morning K. Thanks for the tea mate.
Bunny, ignoring is certainly the action I'm favouring at the moment. The problem is that whenever I've done that in the past, I've ended up with a full scale search party being launched. Which means those around me get dragged in as well.
My favourite reaction includes the use of a Nuke. Do we have one in the cafe stores anywhere?

Well first things first here are your mugs of tea optomistic and Keaydian.
J Stratford, Mmm, that would explain you not eating the dinner.
The message made me smile with your reaction...sorry about that but probably not as sorry as Bob the kangaroo. Are you saying you want her to keep in contact or not? If so are you miffed at the two month lack of contact?

Bluey, not so worried about contact or not. Because she's a few years younger than me, I've always said I'd be there to support and help her, so I don't mind getting a call in the middle of the night if it's an emergency and not just an 'I'm drunk and I miss you...'
As I broke of the contact because I knew it wasn't doing either of us any good, I can't complain at the lack of contact, but I am complaining about the 'I'm bored so you should drop everything and run back into my life' tyoe attitude.
Sorry to be moaning, I'll go and take Bob for his walk now.

J Stratford, I must admit I am a bit naive about the difference between text messages and emails having never sent a text message in my life. However, I have been known to send the 'equivalent type of messages' by email just to let my friend(s) know I am still alive and thinking of them. I must admit I am the long type of message person but if friends don't reply for a long time I still try and keep in contact and trust that my short email will elicit a reply. I like doing it late at night because there is peace and quiet.
I like the name Bob. Is it short for Bob the Bouncer?

I'd love a cup of tea, especially from Bluelady. Looks like there was some excitement on the US markets last night. A lot of shorters must have got burned waiting for the retracement that didn't happen. They'll get their chance again I have no doubt.
