rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

all looking very flakey once again

DOW support at 16,700

Why o Why does Stockwatch or Trades go down at this minute?

16,700 now holding but without much conviction and certainly no inclination to chug let alone surge north

jaw-dropping ....Dow now down to 17,600

Panic if this follows through next week

eventually all will calm down and prob reverse .... as always, the big question is WHEN

as it stands, DOW is now down near enough 450 to 16,500 with cash FTSE showing -160 at 6132
