Tanzanite One - set for storming progress? (TNZ)

Greyhound - 29 Dec 2005 14:38

Tanzanite One is the sole miner of Tanzanite - the newest (blue/violet) gemstone discovery. The only known source is in Tanzania and Tiffany & Co have described this "gem" as the most significant find in 200 years. TNZ is already profitable and this could be set to have an excellent 2006.

stockbunny - 29 Dec 2005 14:51 - 2 of 87

Agreed, I like TNZ but what annoys me is the spread, it really is OTT

Greyhound - 29 Dec 2005 14:56 - 3 of 87

That is a bug bear but hopefully with a few fold increase it won't be so painful! It will be interesting to see how they market this during 2006 so that there is greater awareness.

What word or ''news'' may i ask?

lanayel - 20 Jan 2006 10:42 - 8 of 87

Picked up a few at 159p

Looks very interesting.

I'm rather hoping that before too long this gets a US listing.

Greyhound - 20 Jan 2006 11:17 - 10 of 87

I rather like this pic from their website. This is the largest whole piece find to date

hlyeo98 - as word gets out - I was meaning there's a general unwareness of this gem, particularly in Europe. I read somewhere that 30% of US population has now heard of Tanzanite - spurred on by celebs at premiers wearing the stuff on loan. Tanzanite One are marketing this in the same way DeBeers marketed diamonds.

gallick - 24 Jan 2006 23:39 - 12 of 87

MI rates this as a potential multi-bagger. Still only one broker covering the stock as far as I know! A good one for the bottom draw IMHO.

Another nice pick-up today on no apparent news....

Excellent news just out - looks like there is significantly more Tanzanite than first believed....

TANZANITEONE RELEASES DRILLING UPDATE

TanzaniteOne, the vertically integrated tanzanite mining and marketing group,
today releases an update with regards to its recent drilling programme.
TanzaniteOne has been undertaking exploration activities on a number of fronts
at its mine in Merelani, Tanzania over the last three months. The objective of
the programme was to test the presence of mineralisation at extensively greater
depths than the current known ore body.

The drilling programme shows that the Lower Horizon, which hosts the economic
mineralisation, has been intersected at depths twice those previously known.
This suggests that the inferred resource and therefore the life of the mine at
current production rates may be significantly increased.

The Directors of TanzaniteOne believe that this potential increase in economic
mineralisation supports its innovative marketing strategy, Be Born to Tanzanite,
which positions tanzanite as 'the' birth stone and positions it with celebrating
the birth of a child.

Ian Harebottle, Chief Operating Officer of TanzaniteOne, commented on these
results as follows:

"Whilst we were always confident of the highly prospective nature of the
Merelani mine, these results show that the economic potential is far higher than
our exploration programme had identified 12 months ago. As a result, tied in
with our expanded marketing programme to the US and Europe, we believe that
increased throughput at the mine will result in future revenue growth beyond
that announced to the market earlier."

Up about 15% now. This still looks seriously undervalued to me.

stockbunny - 07 Feb 2006 12:14 - 17 of 87

Well Done Greyhound! :>)
I didn't buy due to the spread, but you believed in it and it has come good for you, it's always great to see success on the BB
:>)

Greyhound

Well done and thanks. I would never have been aware of the Company without your starting this thread.

Top man.

Greyhound - 07 Feb 2006 13:08 - 19 of 87

stockbunny/ianayel - no worries. Stockbunny - not too late when you see it coming back a bit (like it is already). I think this should be heading to 3 before too long. On a low pe, I think this is considerably undervalued. I would really like to see this get a US listing now as that's going to provide good momentum and increase awareness - in which case we could be in for a multi-bagger here. Now it looks like the "find" is significant, the RNS already starts to talk about marketing this as the "birth stone" and if the DeBeers model works for Tanzanite, then we're in for a fun future. Considerably small volume today just goes to show this is still an unknown out there with few following. Good luck!

The above article is a "must read". Unable to post article for copyright reasons. Very informative indeed.

Just on an awareness note, Tom Cruise planning to give his wife Tanzanite on the imminent birth of their child. Might get publicity in the glossy mags! This was from the latest update in Momentum Investor, rating this a buy.
