A much stronger order book at the moment on the bid side after the "AT" was activated and took
all the trades at 16p offer ( a total of 156K at one time with 3MMs included )
at the moment on a spread of 15.75 / 16p
there are 35K at side of bid and 85K at offer
but the DEPTH is much stronger on the bid side with...
463K ( total of 22 trades ) at bid side
for 241K ( total o f 12 trades ) at offer ( of those 10K at 38p and 21K at 50p so 31k should not
be counted as the prices are not realistic )

First Gold Smelt from the Carbon-In-Leach ("CIL") Concentrate Treatment Plant
* First bullion bar poured from CIL concentrate treatment plant
* Recoveries to date in CIL plant in excess of 95%
* Full metallurgical circuit now integrated
CRG announces that on July 27, 2009, the Company successfully smelted and poured
its first bullion bar of approximately 1.5kg from its CIL concentrate treatment
plant on its Slot 8 site on the Consolidated Main Reef tenement.
The CIL plant, capable of treating 10,000 tonnes of concentrate per month,
commenced civil work on site in February 2009, with the start of commissioning
in June 2009. The smelt house was the final element requiring commissioning
which has now been completed. Recoveries to date in the CIL plant have been in
excess of 95%.
The CIL plant was fed concentrate from the Gekko 20tph trial crushing and
concentrating plant and will now also be fed from the Bateman 30tph crushing and
concentrating plant. The crushing and concentrating plants are treating surface
material from the Main Reef and Main Reef Leader outcrops. It is expected that
the crushing and concentrating plants will continue treating surface material
until such time that underground ore is extracted, expected in early 2010.
Commenting on the smelt, Johan du Toit, Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We are
extremely happy to have had our first smelt. This is a significant milestone in
the Company's trial mining process and demonstrates that our metallurgical
circuit is now fully integrated and operational."

Court Throws Out Puno Gold Investments' Request For Urgent Interdict To Halt Central Rand Gold's Trial Mining Activities
Central Rand Gold Limited ("CRG" or "the Company"), following the hearing today, is pleased to announce that the "urgent interdict" sought by Puno Gold Investments (Pty) Ltd to halt the company's trial mining operations has been dismissed by the South Gauteng High Court. In addition, Puno is required to pay all legal costs associated with this dispute.
Reacting to the Court's decision, CRG's CEO, Johan du Toit, said:
"We are pleased that this unnecessary distraction caused by Puno has now been dismissed in its entirety by the independent court. The court case has not delayed the development of our assets and we look forward to progressing with trial mining, which is the springboard towards full-scale commercial gold mining in our Johannesburg mining right area."
Central Rand Gold Ltd is listed on the London Stock Exchange and on JSE Limited in Johannesburg. It was awarded its first New Order Mining Right in August 2008. Trial mining began in September 2009 at Slot 8 situated at its Consolidated Main Reef tenement in southern Johannesburg. The Company is actively involved in the communities in which its mining operations are situated through employment, training, education, sport and small business development initiatives.

no, but will await further announcement until deciding, it may be a waiting game, if your not happy to hold would suggest dumping and going elswhere, am dissapointed too as I thought it was good for 30-50p short-term, but hey thats how it goes!

Steady progress, I havent done the maths here, and there is more fundraising coming, but it will be highly generative imo from mid 2010, at that point the revenue could be very big, but assumme everybody is cautiously optimistic hence the share wont run until full-scale production is actually in place and the gold production yield is what they are predicting. Expect them to announce this as much higher, they are holding something back to lift the price after fund raising.
IMO, this could be huge, and they are waiting for a few more people to inject just a bit more working captial and then hopefully pow. OK, no need to get in the next few weeks, this will probably drift, maybe upto 20p by Xmas, but I think it will surge in the new year, certainly hope so.

KEEP AN EYE
Are on the move up after some very large trades a bit earlier 10m + 7M + and news after goberment cabinet meeting ....
Cabinet has adopted the recommendations of a team of experts on how to deal with the problem of acid mine drainage, governments chief spokesman Jimmy Manyi said at a post cabinet media briefing on Tuesday. Cabinet also agreed that further work should be undertaken to investigate the possibility of an environmental levy. The recommendations include implementing ingress control measures to reduce the rate of flooding and the eventual decanting and pumping volume. Also that the costs to deal with acid mine drainage be reduced and that water quality be improved through neutralisation and metal removal in the short term. In the medium to longer term salt loads should be removed from river systems be considered. Finally cabinet agreed that the monitoring and research be improved to inform decision making and to monitor and manage the other sources of acid mine drainage in the Witwatersrand. National planning commission Minister Trevor Manuel told the briefing that the immediate task was to pump water out of mines across the three basins. He gave the assurance that government was dealing with the problem and that the pumping in the western basin would begin immediately.
He stressed however that there was 'no need for panic'. while the recent rains had created the perception that there had been rapid decanting, in fact this was just water flowing through. Mr Manuel said government would try to recoup much of the cost of dealing with the problem from profit making mines. An expert told the briefing that the pump would begin operating by March 2012 Mr Manuel said the report would be released by the Department of Water Affairs in the next few days and that the Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan would announce the financing for the plan when he releases the national budget in parliament tomorrow.

London small caps: Central Rand Gold jumps on Pretoria action
By Bryce Elder
Central Rand Gold jumped by 66.7 per cent to 2.35p after South African government officials said the nation would take action immediately to start pumping and treating acidic water that has been rising from old mines on the Witwatersrand. Central Rand Gold warned earlier this month that the rising water table at its mine near Johannesburg was a threat to its viability.

The shares in SA held unchanged 20ZAC
some calculation from "Gibbo1066"
I have to face whats in front of me. If we are processing 500 tonnes per day @ 1.9 grams that's 950 grams per day or almost 350 kilos year. Working on the current value of Gold at $38,500 per kilo that puts us at about $13.5 million turnover for the year.
If we get to 800 tonnes per day that figure goes up to almost $ 22 million. All that with a current capitalization of $ 2.5 million. I still believe that this company is worth between $ 30 & 40 million or approx share price of $ 0.17
