is anybody holding these shares? don't know whether to call it a day on them or hold on for better results in 2004 with the european cup and the olympics. any thoughts?

martincoops - 29 Dec 2003 12:31 - 2 of 44

Dont hold any but have added to my watchlist as having read their RNS's in the last 6 months this share should move northwards from these levels, still researching and will add more info when I find some.

eckoh - 29 Dec 2003 20:48 - 3 of 44

Thanks for your reply. I'm very new to this game - what are RNS's?

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Betinternet.com PLC said it has achieved
profitability at EBITDA level for the full year despite a challenging time for
the gaming industry.
The on-line gaming group said its European Wagering Services (EWS) has
continued to progress well and has a growing customer base.
However, it said withdrawal of Neteller's services from the US gaming market
hurt operations in January and February, while alternative payment solutions
were sought.
Its sportsbook continues to benefit from the new website portal and the two
casinos and fixed-odds games remain very popular. As a part of the sportsbook
enhancement, the company plans to offer betting on UK horseracing within the
next two months.
It is still seeking business partners to launch its white-label services
which it was unable to advance in Russia due to the legislative changes.
Managing director Garry Knowles said the company is continuing to make good
progress and sees further improvement in the forthcoming year due to the changes
introduced during the period along with development of both the sportsbook and
EWS websites.

Back in at 5.30 pence this afternoon. Could bounce back up very strongly from current levels IMO.

The next set of results are only six weeks away now. The company is doing better than it was doing this time last year at much higher prices! Will be interesting to see how the move into Horse Racing develops. But IMO at these levels there could just be a management buyout. Take the company private at 10p IMO. After all, the share price has been disappointing for a few years.

Active - 18 Jul 2007 18:47 - 10 of 44

Good buying after a long, long while today. We had another 100K buy today again after the one last week at 5.45pence. Level 2 has been at 1 v 4 for weeks too which improved to 2 v 3. So finally, after a long while some strong positive movement should be happening in the coming days IMO.

Active - 19 Jul 2007 14:45 - 11 of 44

Good buying volume again today inc. a 90k buy at a premium of 5.75p. Level 2 has gone positive now at 3 v 2. Rises should be forthcoming soon IMO.

HARRYCAT - 19 Jul 2007 15:44 - 12 of 44

Looking at the 5 year chart for this stock, there is no sustained growth pattern. There is an ever decreasing spike once a year & then the trend is down.
I watch SBT, 888 & PRTY, but BET looks to be still in difficulty with problems over payment via the internet & also increasingly huge competition from the other big guys.
I would advise extreme caution with this one, but maybe worth a very short term punt, but no more than 10p is the target, imo.

Active - 19 Jul 2007 16:37 - 13 of 44

I have a 10p target too and fully agree with your post. Still a 100% rise from these levels.

Active - 20 Jul 2007 09:41 - 14 of 44

Finally gone blue. Big rises should be forthcoming IMO.

Active - 20 Jul 2007 13:02 - 15 of 44

5.50-6.00p, L2 is 3 v 2.

Active - 21 Jul 2007 14:33 - 16 of 44

The price has broken the 50 day moving average which has give a positive signal. Volume building up slowly but surely and IMO no resistance until 7.50p!

Friday showed how quickly this can move with some interest. As many have pointed out this has the ability to turn very quickly and if followed by any significant news flow continue to do so.

As I have mentioned when looking at the figures this is a very undervalued stock and I honestly expect to see more interest this week especially as we move closer to the results where the possibility of a real profit is certainly getting closer.

Review

Makes for interesting reading.

HARRYCAT - 22 Jul 2007 22:44 - 19 of 44

Don't forget though, that once the results are out, whether good or bad, the sp has a nasty habit of losing 50% of it's value.
Lock in profit and move on imo.

Active - 23 Jul 2007 00:09 - 20 of 44

errmm what profit. The good rises are yet to come. The company has a turnover of 67 million profit and very likely to announce a profit in early September. I know what side of the fence I would like to be in.

HARRYCAT - 23 Jul 2007 08:49 - 21 of 44

You bought at 5.3p, active. If it reaches 10p, that puts you nicely in profit.
'Lock in profit' was referring to your potential gain when 10p is reached.
I am always very cautious with gaming stocks as they have been very volatile in the past, but good luck if you are planning to hold on.

Active - 23 Jul 2007 19:23 - 22 of 44

Thanks for that clarification HarryCat! Level 2 closed at 4 v 1 today which is the best it can be and we had 107k in buys. Would now expect the 6 pence offer to be broken fairly early tomorrow.

moneyman - 23 Jul 2007 20:28 - 23 of 44

Another good day and with L2 at 4 v 1 and buys now at the full asking price I don't think that they will be able to hold it down tomorrow.

Active - 24 Jul 2007 18:58 - 24 of 44

Another little tick up today. IMO the price is getting like a coiled spring and expecting good rises in the v.near future!

Investtech Analysis Update after close:
Has broken through the ceiling of a falling trend channel. This indicates a slower falling rate initially, or the start of a more horizontal development. The stock has broken up through the resistance at p 5.50. This predicts a further rise. The poor liquidity of the stock (traded 77% of the days, mean 0.29 mill per day) may weaken the analysis. The stock is assessed as technically neutral for the medium long term.

Active - 25 Jul 2007 10:01 - 26 of 44

Up again with good buying!

HARRYCAT - 25 Jul 2007 12:19 - 27 of 44

Not really up. Just narrowed the spread.
Bid 5.75, Offer 6.25p.

Any idea exactly what day the results figures are released?

Active - 25 Jul 2007 20:17 - 28 of 44

7th of September!

moneyman - 27 Sep 2007 23:49 - 29 of 44

Good results and the shorters move in because of a lack of activity and they also see the potential which BET offers.

moneyman - 12 Oct 2007 22:39 - 30 of 44

Time to buy

HARRYCAT - 14 Oct 2007 15:59 - 31 of 44

May just drop below 4p, but hopefully no lower. Then the seasonal boost over the 200 DMA (6p) would be nice.

moneyman - 21 Oct 2007 23:12 - 32 of 44

Looks like it's started Harry

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
02 November 2007

BETINTERNET.COM PLC
("betinternet" or the "Company")

AGM STATEMENT

At today's Annual General Meeting of betinternet, all of the tabled resolutions
were duly passed and the Chairman, Mr Denham Eke, made the following statement
regarding the Company's current trading position:

"The Company has continued to trade according to expectations during the first
quarter of the new financial year, with good revenues being achieved through the
casinos and fixed-odds games on the sportsbook platform, during a period when
football content was reduced.

Within the last week, the sportsbook has undertaken a substantial upgrade which
has enhanced the opportunities for our customers, with the introduction of
Starting Price betting to complement our existing UK and Irish horseracing
product, which we plan to start marketing within the next two weeks. We have
also added to our football offering with the introduction of Asian Handicap
multiple bets and made improvements to the betting slip and internal liability
management systems, as well as allowing for a better allocation and tracking of
promotional bets. I anticipate that these enhancements will increase the appeal
of our website and have a positive effect on the revenues achieved by the
sportsbook operation in the forthcoming months.

The board intends to continue to seek a strategic acquisition for our sportsbook
operation and this will remain an area of focus for the forthcoming year, but
not to the detriment of driving organic growth of our existing sportsbook
business.

European Wagering Services (EWS) has now secured a robust payment solution,
which is already assisting with the reactivating of accounts from those
customers who were unable to deposit following our recently documented banking
issues. The impact of these issues on the operation has been limited, due to the
nature of pari-mutuel betting and the composition of EWS' customer base and I
now expect that we will see a return to previous levels of revenue and
anticipate further growth thereafter.

Following today's shareholder approval, the board intends to change the name of
the Company to Webis Holdings plc, to more accurately reflect its role in the
group. It subsequently intends to re-organise the betinternet.com sportsbook
portal and the EWS pari-mutuel businesses, subject to regulatory approval. The
operations and trading names of both businesses will be unaffected by this
change.

The company anticipates announcing its interim results for the 26 weeks to 25
November 2007 in February 2008."

You are kidding me maestro ?

Apart from Dcd which i dont know Bet is the only one that is worthy of a
punt, sorry but the rest are a right bad bunch of dog stocks.

maestro - 02 Nov 2007 21:21 - 39 of 44

yes but buying at their lows now might be a prudent investment...just like qxl was in 2003

trader6 - 02 Nov 2007 21:52 - 40 of 44

Yawn maestro !

So you had one wonder stock in the form of Qxl, you cant keep using what
happened to Qxl as a reason to push some truly awful stocks.

I had a stock go from 1p to 42p in two months in the dot com boom but i
dont use it to try and ramp up other stocks.

You need to move on from Qxl, for that one glorious winner there must be
at least 20 disaster stocks i can recall you tipping up in the past !

moneyman - 03 Nov 2007 20:55 - 41 of 44
