18M nanotechnology cash from UK government shared by Taylor Hobson, IQE, Applied Multilayers, University of Huddersfield, and NPL

06 Sep 2004

IQE is part of a UK consortium alongside Taylor Hobson and Applied Multilayers, who are to take part in a new, UK government project to develop new nano metrology technologies with a share of an 18million UK government grant to fund research and product development. Other partners include: National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, and The Centre for Precision Technologies at The University of Huddersfield.

The UK-based consortium has been awarded funding in excess of 1 million for Semiconductor and Optical Layer Analysis and Definition using Interference Microscopy (SOLADIM). The aim of the programme is to help develop measurement techniques and international specifications for surface texture measurement of epitaxial wafers and thin film coatings.

The project will be co-ordinated by the lead partner, Taylor Hobson, who will provide the Talysurf CCI non-contact measurement solutions for the demanding applications of IQE and Applied Multilayers. The Talysurf CCI is the enabling technology that will allow the establishment of international standards for nano-surface roughness.

The grants are part of the Governments drive to help companies, research organisations, and universities exploit potential applications for new technology so that the UK can be a technology leading country. It is estimated that the global market for nano technology could be $1 trillion within the next decade.

IQE, ROCKWELL AND UCSB IN HIGH SPEED TRANSISTOR VENTURE

As reported in CompoundSemiconductor.Net on 13th August, IQE's materials have been used in a joint venture with Rockwell and the University of California in Santa Barbara to produce a 152GHz InP-based transistor under DARPA's TFAST program.

The work is part of the US' Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) funded program "Technology for Frequency Agile digitally Synthesized Transmitters (TFAST)".

IQE produced the starting materials in the form of InP based epitaxial wafers, that provide the enabling technology from which the high speed components are made. The epiwafers were produced using the Company's MBE production equipment at its Bethlehem, PA manufacturing facility.

How all the Large Trades are Buys ?

Trades over 75,000 * 6 are delayed in reporting by 1 hour. The 1.25 million trade at 8.50 pence was originally put through at 15.25hrs when the offer ticked up on no buys to 9.00 pence from 8.50 pence. The 1.25 million buy was put through then which caused the offer to tick up to 9.00 pence.

Hint : always look at the time of the trades with ordinary trades to see if they were buys or sells and then when they come through compare them to what the price was 1 hour ago.

It was the same yesterday with the 1 Million buy at 7.50 pence. Trades over 75,000 = Normal Market Size * 6 are delayed in reporting by 1 hour.

Holdings in Company RNS confirmation should come next week to confirm all the large trades are buys.

With regards to the T trades, T trades are where someone has put an order in and the order gets filled during the day. So in today's instance we had a 250,000 T buy at 8.25 pence, a 500,000 T buy, 2 * 1 Million T buy at 8.50 pence.

To make it easier to spot them as buys, one needs to keep looking at the price throughout the course of the day which I did do today and yesterday. The bid price ticked up to 8.00 pence on no buys first thing this morning as the very large T buy order was being worked through in the background.

A big buy order was given to the market makers this morning and during the course of the day they filled the buy order and reported the trades as T type.

The same actions occured yesterday with all the very large buys reported yesterday and the day before.

SueHelen - 15 Oct 2004 23:47 - 26 of 245

For nearly all stocks do not go along with what you see on the trades page, as most trades are delayed in reporting by 1 hour which happens with most stocks. Remember what the price was 1 hour before the trades come through and then categorise them accordingly.

With regards to T trades, you have to observe the price throughout the course of the trading session to categorise them correctly.

Investtech have upgraded IQE from Neutral to Positive Candidate after today's close :

Positive Candidate (Short term) - Oct 15, 2004
IQE ORD 1P has broken the falling trend and reacted strongly up. For the time being, it is difficult to say anything about the future trend direction. The stock has marginally broken up through the resistance at p 8.74. An established break predicts a further rise. Volume tops and volume bottoms correspond well with tops and bottoms in the price. Volume balance is also positive, which strengthens the stock. The RSI curve shows a rising trend, which could be an early signal for the start of a rising trend. The stock is overall assessed as technically positive for the short term.

SueHelen - 15 Oct 2004 23:47 - 28 of 245

"Volume balance is also positive, which strengthens the stock".

One confirmation that all the large trades are buys, with the sentence volume balance is positive ie. lots more buying than selling.

If it says Volume balance is negative then it means there is more selling than buying.

SueHelen - 15 Oct 2004 23:47 - 29 of 245

The Long term chart is also becoming positive :

Neutral (Long term) - Oct 15, 2004
Has broken the ceiling of the falling trend, which indicates a slower initial falling rate. The stock has support at p 6.00 and resistance at p 22.00. Positive volume balance strengthens the stock in the short term. The RSI curve shows a rising trend, which could be an early signal for the start of a rising trend. The stock is overall assessed as technically neutral for the long term.

SueHelen - 15 Oct 2004 23:47 - 30 of 245

Medium term chart will be turning positive with the next tick up :

Negative Candidate (Medium term) - Oct 15, 2004
IQE ORD 1P has risen up towards the ceiling of the falling trend channel. A continued decline may be expected and the current price level may be a good exit price. Has, however, received a positive signal from the moving average indicator, thus signaling a continued rise. The stock is testing the resistance at p 9.00. This should give a negative reaction, but an upward breakthough of p 9.00 means a positive signal. Positive volume balance, i.e. high volume in days of rising prices and low volume in days of falling prices, strengthens the stock in the short term. The stock is overall assessed as technically negative for the medium long term.

SueHelen - 15 Oct 2004 23:48 - 31 of 245

I'm expecting more large buys to appear in the next trading session which is on Monday at 9 pence and higher...

SueHelen - 15 Oct 2004 23:48 - 32 of 245

True Buys vs Sells Ratio today :

Buys = 4,944,753
Sells = 722,026.

Buys outweighed Sells by nearly 7:1.

Thanks for all that SueHelen, you have been busy lady. Will hold on for this one a bit longer and see what happens. If could just get back through 9.00p.

SueHelen - 16 Oct 2004 15:48 - 35 of 245

Hi Kivver, I've bought in at 8.90 pence on Friday and expecting the price to break the 10 pence resistance next week and hopefully go on to the 15-20 pence levels in the next few weeks.

SueHelen - 17 Oct 2004 13:06 - 36 of 245

When lots of 500,000 shares and 1 million and 1.25 million buys are going through as they have done on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday last week, it is time to get excited. I haven't see these kind of trades going through together with the increase in volume for a long time in IQE.

moneyplus - 17 Oct 2004 15:34 - 37 of 245

Good news -time to blow the dust off mine then!! cheers MP

Have been burnt on the hopes of recovery a couple of times with this one already. As you know getting in at the right time is everything which i obviously did not, but thought i read somewhere that chip demand had slackened and this company if i remember rightly is highly exposed to high dollar rate which has not improved much. Just dont believe the adage third time lucky.Be cautious and good luck.

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 14:36 - 41 of 245

Correct Figures

So far today :

Buys = 1,888,298

Sells = 95,636

Hopeful for large T buy to come later on yet....

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 14:44 - 42 of 245

250,000 Volume Wegihted trade reported at 9.00 pence is from this morning when the offer was stuck at 9.00 pence, two trades filled at that price so far in terms of large trades, the 250,000 ordinary trade at 9.00 pence in the morning and this volume weighted trade.

The volume weighted trade for the same amount of 250,000 shares also came through after close at 8.25 pence on Friday, 8.25 pence because that was the price it was put through in the morning.

Same with the volume weighted trade reported for 250,000 shares again on Thursday at 7.75 pence.

The volume weighted trades are buys....

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 14:45 - 43 of 245

The real online spread for most of the day since this morning has been 9.25-9.40 pence with one of the market makers paying a premium of 0.25 pence on the bid for stock.

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 14:51 - 44 of 245

The trade reported on the Trades Page for 1,240,000 at 8.50 pence and marked as a late trade is from Friday afternoon when the offer price was 8.50 pence to buy at 3.17pm. Someone bought 1.24million shares in IQE at 8.50 pence on Friday afternoon, there were many more significant buys last week.

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 16:23 - 45 of 245

Big shake by the MMs before close....bet its got something to do with more T buys...
The MMs first tried to get stock back at 9.25 pence this morning, then long period at 9.00 pence, then treeshake with the bid dropping to 8.50 pence on nothing.

Around 250,000 in sells today against 1.90 million in buys says it all. But the MMs can't move the price forward (up) until the T buys at set prices are filled.

Not working for the MMs, still no sellers about.

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 16:23 - 46 of 245

I said it was coming, here it comes, 250,000 T buy comes through at 9.25 pence.

Kivver - 18 Oct 2004 16:24 - 47 of 245

Agree with willfag about the effects of the dollar. But this is a company in recovery with improving profits. The fundamentals are better now than 5 months ago so it is only natural the sp should improve. All the other info suehelen has given should also help the price.

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 16:49 - 48 of 245

250,000 Market Maker buy just comes through at 16.43hrs at 9.25 pence.
Interesting, bet they've bought the stock in advance for one of the larger buy orders again tomorrow.

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 16:49 - 49 of 245

At close :

Large Buys reported today :

250,000 T Buy reported at 9.25 pence
250,000 M Buy reported at 9.25 pence
250,000 O Buy reported at 9.00 pence
250,000 VW Buy reported at 9.00 pence
200,000 Buy reported at 9.43 pence
105,300 Buy reported at 9.44 pence
100,000 Buy reported at 8.95 pence.

Correct Figures at close :

Buys = 2,419,726

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 21:43 - 51 of 245

Investtech Analysis after today's close :

Positive Candidate (Short term) - Oct 18, 2004
IQE ORD 1P has broken the falling trend and reacted strongly up. For the time being, it is difficult to say anything about the future trend direction. The stock has broken up through the resistance at p 8.74. This predicts a further rise. In case of negative reactions, there will now be support at p 8.74. Volume tops and volume bottoms correspond well with tops and bottoms in the price. This strengthens the stock. RSI is overbought. The stock can still rise further, and we should see a decreasing RSI before this is used as a negative signal. The RSI curve shows a rising trend, which could be an early signal for the start of a rising trend. The stock is overall assessed as technically positive for the short term.

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 21:43 - 52 of 245

Weak Negative Candidate (Medium term) - Oct 18, 2004
Has broken the ceiling of the falling trend, which indicates a slower initial falling rate. Has received a positive signal from the moving average indicator, thus signaling a continued rise. The stock is testing the resistance at p 9.00, which may give a negative reaction. The stock is overall assessed as technically slightly negative for the medium long term.

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 21:43 - 53 of 245

Neutral (Long term) - Oct 18, 2004
Has broken the ceiling of the falling trend, which indicates a slower initial falling rate. The stock has support at p 6.00 and resistance at p 22.00. Positive volume balance, i.e. high volume in days of rising prices and low volume in days of falling prices, strengthens the stock in the short term. The RSI curve shows a rising trend, which could be an early signal for the start of a rising trend. The stock is overall assessed as technically neutral for the long term.

SueHelen - 18 Oct 2004 21:43 - 54 of 245

All good on the chart front, once the 9.00 pence and the 10.00 pence resistance are broken it will be all systems go. Nicely poised at the moment.

Good turnaround on the US markets tonight, bodes well...Dow Jones was about 50 points down when our markets closed compared to closing 23 points up and NASDAQ was only up 5 points when our markets closed compared to finishing up 25 points :

Wall Street - U.S. stocks end higher on retreat in oil prices - UPDATE 12

NEW YORK (AFX) - U.S. stocks ended near their session highs Monday as
investors gleaned some comfort from a retreat in oil prices from record levels,
but 3M's weaker-than-expected third quarter results cast a shadow on the outlook
for corporate earnings.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 22.94 points, at 9,956.32, reclaiming
all the ground lost as the blue-chip barometer touched an early low of 9,861.63.
Within the Dow, 3M was the biggest percentage decliner, sliding 2.4 percent, on
the back of its earnings miss and the profit warning it issued for the fourth
quarter.
Other notable fallers include Boeing down 1.2 percent and United Technologies
off 1.8 percent.
Moving higher, American International Group rose 3.2 percent, buoyed by an
upgrade from brokerage Legg Mason.
IBM added 1.3 percent ahead of its results after the market close, while

Positive comments from ARM as well today :

ARM's CFO Score sees revenues rising 20 pct in 2005

LONDON (AFX) - ARM Holdings PLC expects to achieve revenue growth of 20 pct
next year as the UK chip designer's ARM11 continues to gain popularity with
semiconductor makers, according to chief financial officer Tim Score.
"The market numbers for 2005 are for growth, in sterling terms, of around 20
pct and we see no reason to change that at this stage," said Score on a
conference call with analysts.
The group's ARM11 designs -- used in next generation mobile phones, digital
cameras and other wireless devices -- would underpin growth in 2005, according
to Score.
"The initial ARM11 license growth was driven by leading-edge wireless
semiconductor companies, but its is fast becoming a mainstream product," said
Score.
Score's comments came as ARM reported slightly better-than-expected results
for the third quarter, during which it signed 5 licenses for its ARM11 designs.
"ARM11 licensing is making very good progress and royalty growth is all
about penetration into markets other than just mobile handsets," he added.
ARM licenses its technology to chip makers, who pay a one-off licensing fee;
it then receives a royalty payment each time a device based on its technology is
sold.

Positive Candidate (Short term) - Oct 19, 2004
IQE ORD 1P has broken the falling trend and reacted strongly up. For the time being, it is difficult to say anything about the future trend direction. The stock has broken up through the resistance at p 8.74. This predicts a further rise. Volume tops correspond well with price tops, and volume bottoms correspond well with price bottoms. This strengthens the stock. RSI is overbought, which indicates a potential short-term reaction down. The RSI curve shows a rising trend, which could be an early signal for the start of a rising trend. The stock is overall assessed as technically positive for the short term.

Neutral (Medium term) - Oct 19, 2004
Has broken the ceiling of the falling trend, which indicates a slower initial falling rate. The moving average indicator has given a positive signal. In isolation, this signals a continued rise, but the slowness of the indicator often means that one has lost much of the upside. The stock is testing the resistance at p 9.00, which may give a negative reaction. The stock is overall assessed as technically neutral for the medium long term.

Neutral (Long term) - Oct 19, 2004
Has broken the ceiling of the falling trend, which indicates a slower initial falling rate. The stock has support at p 6.00 and resistance at p 22.00. The stock is overall assessed as technically neutral for the long term.

Sue - can we just clarify a few things here?

1) You reckon there is resistance at 10p(from your Investech posts)

2) Level 2 has only WINS left on the bid with 4 MMs on offer

3) Scottish Widows have a huge holding and are decreasing.

Apart from some VW and T trade buys, do you have any other reason to buy at the moment?? Presumably, Scottish Widows will simply sell to match the buying, as to dump their holding in one go would be impossible without a severe scalping.

Investtech Analysis after today's close :

Weak Positive Candidate (Short term) - Oct 21, 2004
IQE ORD 1P has broken the falling trend and reacted strongly up. For the time being, it is difficult to say anything about the future trend direction. The stock has support at p 7.10 and resistance at p 10.00. The volume balance is positive and strengthens the stock in the short term. RSI is overbought. The stock can still rise further, and we should see a decreasing RSI before this is used as a negative signal. The RSI curve shows a rising trend, which could be an early signal for the start of a rising trend. The stock is overall assessed as technically slightly positive for the short term.

In isolation, this signals a continued rise, but the slowness of the indicator often means that one has lost much of the upside. The stock is testing the resistance at p 9.00. This should give a negative reaction, but an upward breakthough of p 9.00 means a positive signal. Positive volume balance, i.e. high volume in days of rising prices and low volume in days of falling prices, strengthens the stock in the short term. The RSI curve shows a rising trend, which could be an early signal for the start of a rising trend. The stock is overall assessed as technically slightly negative for the medium long term.

The stock has support at p 6.00 and resistance at p 22.00. Positive volume balance, i.e. high volume in days of rising prices and low volume in days of falling prices, strengthens the stock in the short term. Take your point dell and i am sure it is has been noted by anybody interested in this thread. Thanks for highlighting that. I also thank suehelen for the other (apart from level2)information that has been left.

My own point of view is this is a company that has been in doldrums for few years now. They have not had full employment in the company, investment has not been what it should have been, sales have been poor, hence the results the last 3 years, and the high pound has also impacted on the results.

BUT these problems are gradually being sorted out and this is a company on the recovery (look at last set of results), how quick and how soon nobody knows. Some companies have reported low sales of electronic circuit based items some have reported good growth. I do not expect to see a massive increase in the results but a gradual increase as more good news comes out. NB you must keep an eye on the $/ exchange rate. ALWAYS do your own research.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 4 November 2004

IQE plc ("IQE" or "the Company")

IQE secures major outsourcing contract with leading RF component manufacturer

IQE's North American subsidiary, IQE Inc, today announced it has secured a major
outsourcing contract to supply a leading North American RF Component
Manufacturer with epitaxial materials for its RF based components used in mobile
handsets. The agreement, which is effective from 1st November 2004 and is for a
minimum term of two years, renewable annually thereafter, provides for IQE's
Bethlehem site to supply more than 90% of the customer's anticipated demand for
their advanced RF wafer products and is estimated to be worth around US$25
million in revenue to IQE over the initial two year period. As a result of the
agreement, internal wafer manufacture at the customer's site will cease. Both
parties have been working closely together for several years; a relationship
through which IQE has gained a high degree of confidence in its own ability to
service the outsourced epiwafer needs of major manufacturers.

IQE's President & CEO, Drew Nelson said "This agreement with such a prominent
global supplier of RF components for the cellular phone market demonstrates a
clear movement towards the outsourcing model within the compound semiconductor
industry. Their selection of IQE as the primary partner, as a result of our
large and comprehensive production capacity, and low cost structure, endorses
the Company's commitment to the outsource model"

A spokesman for the customer commented: "outsourcing certain products and
services such as the manufacture of our RF epitaxial wafers allow us to
concentrate our efforts on the processes that add significant value to our
product offering within the global, highly competitive RF market place and we
are pleased to build on previous work we have undertaken with IQE. This
agreement will allow us to be one of the most highly cost effective players in
the RF component marketplace"

Also, looking at the 5 year chart, we could have a nice long saucer formation back to 1+ over 24 months IMO.

IQE (IQE) Buy
Mkt cap: 36m Net cash: 11m Contract win Price/Target: 11p/15p
Breakthrough contract win
IQE has announced that it has won a $25m two year outsourcing deal
with a leading US RF component manufacturer. This is a genuine
breakthrough for IQE it gives us the confidence needed to raise our
target price to 15p
IQE have won a major outsourcing contract with a leading US Radio Frequency
wireless/mobile components company. The contract has a minimum term of
two years and an initial value of $25m. This is one of the four contracts that
management were referring to at the time of the fund raising in November
2004. The other three do not appear to be close to signing at present but the
list of potential customers is still there and management continue to talk to
other parties. This contract win proves that there is a market for wholesale
outsourcing of epitaxy and we expect others to follow but not in the
immediate future.
We estimate the split to be $10m:$15m between year one and year two. The
contract involves the closure of the customer's facilities and because of the
sensitive nature of this the identity of the customer has not been announced.
We are not changing our forecasts. This $10m for the first year is already in our
27.2m revenues estimate for next year. It is worth noting that because the
contract is with an existing customer there is an element of revenue substitution
in this contract. However, this announcement does mean that we are
considerably more comfortable with the forecasts than we were.
If more contracts come through, the revenues should go straight into our
forecasts. We would not expect the other contracts to be as substantial as this
but given the marginal loss/profit scenario we have forecast for next year their
effect on earnings could be significant.
As a result of this announcement we have increased confidence in the forecasts
and so we are increasing our share price target to 15p.

Read the EVO research, essentially any more contract wins will produce a highly profitable and valuable business. Therefore investors MUST position themselves NOW, to take advantage of the tremendous upside on offer. In addition, EVO are now very confident in the current valuation and expect further significant, revenue and therefore, profit growth.

MM's are still balancing their books from yesterdays massive volume spike. Does anyone think they had 17M shares (yesterday's volume) hanging around? They're just buying shares today cheaper than they sold them yesterday. Once this consolidation is complete, they will let the bid rise. Surely you don't expect them to pay more for a share than they have been paid for it?

There will be several large buyers sizing up yesterdays announcement and ready to accumulate when the remaining froth from yesterday has blown off. If the ask gets to 11p again, i'll add again and i won't be alone.

Level 2 closing at 2 v 2 with EVO and KLWT on the bid and WINS and MLSB on the offer.

Large buys will continue to come into next week as long as the KLWT on the bid and WINS on the offer combination continues...as things stand thats how the way it is so more large buy orders that need to be filled are in the pipeline.

All profit taking : more like loss taking out of the way today which is very good with the price obviously holding onto its gains from yesterday.

Here comes another large buy : 250,000 T BUY comes through at 12.25 pence.

KLWT picked up 2 million shares today :

500,000 T BUY came through at 12.00 pence
250,000 T BUY came through at 12.25 pence

KLWT stil have 1.25 million shares for someone.

Here comes another : 250,000 O BUY comes through at 12.25 pence.

1 Million bought by someone now today : KLWT have 1 million shares left now for someone.

Here comes another : 250,000 VW BUY comes through at 12.25 pence

Someone has bought 1.25 million shares now today : KLWT have 750,000 shares left for someone.

Now does anyone else remember the shanigans by WINS this morning...constantly bringing the offer to 12.25 and 12.50 pence. The above buys was the reason as to why.

I'd lay odds on press comment at the weekend and a further rise next week - this is due to reach mid teens before too long, as it's a good company with (strange in these times) a board who tell it like it is.
They've been honest when trading wasn't going well. Now they're saying it is going well. They also say they've been progressing towards orders with a number of far eastern customers. They also say they're targetting ebitda break-even on a month-by-month basis by their year end. Given the order this week and the attention that has brought, and the positive statement that accompanied it, why would anyone except an extremely short term trader want to get out of these?

MMs picked up 2 million shares at 11.50-12.00 pence and sold them at 12.00-12.25 pence....that's how it works...the MMs made their profit as well. Now another question with a 1.25 million buy order in the background at fixed prices how the hell can the price go pass those prices that the buy order is fixed at without them buys being filled first.

As I said earlier WINS and KLWT combination closed like that on Level 2...so as long KLWT stay alone on the bid and WINS alone on the offer - it means more larger buys are in the pipeline.

Hi Kivver,
Looks like IQE is having a good prospect now.

IQE sees FY EBITDA loss halved to 3.8 mln stg, wins outsource deal in US
AFX

LONDON (AFX) - IQE PLC said the business climate in its markets is continuing to improve and it expects to report a 37 pct surge in full-year sales and more than halve its EBITDA loss to 3.8 mln stg from 8.1 mln a year earlier.

In a separate statement, the supplier of customised wafers said its unit IQE Silicon has signed a five year outsource contract with a major US based chip manufacturer which is starting this month and is expected to be worth at least 2 mln usd to the group during the current financial year.

Chief executive Drew Nelson said: 'Overall, the board is confident that substantially increasing revenues, coupled with the strong operational gearing of the business, improving visibility and adequate cash resources, will result in significantly improved shareholder returns over the next few years'.

Cool ! New soucing contract win as well !... SP should at least double from here in a short amount of time... wonder if it will or will it be kept down ?

queen1 - 27 Jan 2006 12:45 - 201 of 245

Why might it be kept down skyhigh? By whom and for what purpose?

skyhigh - 27 Jan 2006 13:08 - 202 of 245

Haven't a clue ! just being cynical !
This should fly ! but will it ?

Kivver - 27 Jan 2006 15:53 - 203 of 245

it already has, anything else is just a bonus

queen1 - 27 Jan 2006 17:36 - 204 of 245

Kivver, I wouldn't describe 11p as flying, not given the market position and past history of IQE!

skyhigh - 27 Jan 2006 19:26 - 205 of 245

By "flying" , I mean 25p+

queen1 - 27 Jan 2006 22:07 - 206 of 245

That sounds a little more realistic skyhigh. Kivver?

Kivver - 28 Jan 2006 12:48 - 207 of 245

did anybody pick iqe to which i brought to peoples attention at 6.2p. SH then hijacked the thread and posted endless posts that bored the pants off me, she/he/it then started up his/her/its own thread to steel the glory

other posters - when i first posted it was 6.2p nearly doubled SO FAR IF thats not flying i dont know what is!

Kivver - 28 Jan 2006 15:38 - 208 of 245

john another poster ''bought at 3 and sold at 18 in 2003''.

john50 - 28 Jan 2006 18:36 - 209 of 245

That must make to of us

goal - 24 Feb 2006 10:34 - 210 of 245

I am a little disappointed that IQE isn't out of the 10/11p range by now with the news we had on the 27 Jan 06. Does any body share my view?

Kivver - 24 Feb 2006 11:03 - 211 of 245

yes,,, i do, as homer would say doh!!! but still in waiting/hoping not too long now until the next news.

queen1 - 24 Feb 2006 11:05 - 212 of 245

Kivver - 25 Mar 2006 09:16 - 222 of 245

i agree goal, ive been umming and arring about selling, but so glad i didnt. Next year should hopefully show a profit. At long last patience (yet again) is proving to be the key. So glad SH is not around trying to claim all the credit for bringing this one to our attention.

capetown - 26 Mar 2006 09:03 - 223 of 245

Kivver
I stayed in iqe,and got out of dme at a small loss,
Will stay with iqe longterm.

Kivver - 26 Mar 2006 12:56 - 224 of 245

going to play this one by ear capetown, already made one nice profit from the constant up and down movement. IF (and it probably wont) it start to go down again, its more or less guaranteed it will be back up for the interims and finals. Also need to keep an eye the dollar-pound exchange rate.

capetown - 26 Mar 2006 14:20 - 225 of 245

Kivver i am up 27%.tempted to sell and go back in @around 11.,but i know if i sell it wont go back down again, agree with you,it has had huge volume in trading and i suspect it may fall back slightly, think i will look again on monday and may take a chance on it.

capetown - 27 Mar 2006 00:54 - 226 of 245

Kivver, did you see IQE tipped as a buy in the independant, sunday,
Another small rise monday am?

queen1 - 28 Mar 2006 20:09 - 227 of 245

Surprised there's not been more comment on IQE these last two days. Looking very strong at present and plenty more to come I feel.

Kivver - 28 Mar 2006 21:48 - 228 of 245

lol, queen, i have learned a massive amount about the physchi (you know what i mean) of share investors since joining this BB. There is a tremendous amount of interest in shares that go sideways and downwards eg eme, tag, seo, yoo, dmr (im not saying these are bad shares and in TAG myself) what i am saying is the interest is in what they might do or are trying to do. Thats fine, they can carry on i'll keep putting my money into shares like wolfson, kenmare, iqe, alizyme, asos and corus (a few dogs too, bprg and cyh) ill tip them, support them, inform investors about them with very little interest or feedback, looks like ill have to get rich on my own. Are you in these Queen??

queen1 - 29 Mar 2006 08:14 - 229 of 245

I am indeed Kivver, since 8p so looking to double my money if they nudge just a little bit higher. Am in Alizyme & ASOS as well!

Kivver - 29 Mar 2006 09:45 - 230 of 245

we'll get rich together queen, please have a look kenmare (kmr), look to buy after april 5th (end of finincial year).

Kivver - 29 Mar 2006 11:09 - 233 of 245

it will come back when profit takers are out of way, like the report says 20p for the time being looks a good bet.

skyhigh - 29 Mar 2006 13:58 - 234 of 245

This should help the SP ? (and make a tidy little sum for Godfrey, should it reach 20p+)
