Recently had a placing which was over subscribed. Nice to see the ratio of B/s with rising price, but would like to have a heavy volume, but I think by the end of to-day we will see the Volumes go up.

Published: March 2005
By Cliff Feltham, Companies Correspondent
Having snatched the rights to screen the Boat Race from BBC, ITV is pulling out all the stops to make Sunday's event a hit with viewers; special close-ups of the straining teams will be shown for the first time.
One company hoping the result is a big success is Vislink, the communications and CCTV group, headed by entrepreneur Bob Morton.
Vislink is a supplier of the high tech wireless camera systems that go into outside broadcast equipment which is being trialled by ITV at the weekend.
Vislink has a growing business in the UK and the US with broker Investec today looking for a sharp increase in sales and profits for 2005. Morton, with interests in half a dozen quoted companies, has called Vislink his jewel in the crown.
Vislink yesterday reported fairly unexciting figures for 2004 with sales of 67 million depressed by the weak dollar and profits mauled by goodwill write-offs and various restructuring charges.
But Morton kick-started the new year with the acquisition of Link Research, a key supplier of the high tech equipment that goes into wireless camera systems. Watford based Link, set up by brothers David and Len Mann, has been earning juicy margins on sales of its systems.
Now those profits will drop in Vislinks lap. But the real prize is in the US where Link can be bolted on to Vislinks existing business, Microwave Radio Communications.
A programme of change, known as the 2GHz relocation project, requires US broadcasters to convert to digital equipment and relocate their radio transmissions to a higher frequency.
This means that they will have to scrap all their existing radio equipment and buy a new generation of equipment from companies like Microwave Radio Communications. It has already picked up an initial order worth $30 million.
Some of the estimates of likely orders are mouth-watering with up to 3,500 different units of radio equipment needing to be replaced at a total cost of between $100 million and $120 million.
Other parts of the business should see improved prospects, particularly CCTV equipment for the Norwegian oil and gas market. Investec sees greater profits in the second half as deliveries reach customers with an overall outcome of 5.4 million profits on sales of 85 million.
At current levels of 29.5p valuing the group at 40 million, the shares are selling on 12 times 2005 forecast earnings.

For my part, I'm keeping about 50% cash in case the debt mountain implodes and mainly interested in recovery stocks, so from your portfolio UNG, OSH and APH join ELA and others on my watch list.

Squid, I have been happy with the news from APH we had some more just recently and some strong buying yesterday. ELA is turning up. VLK is turning up and you are right there, the extra good news is to be from Link but that is also with finally a good performance from Vislink as well, adding the Link extras into a good year for Vislink group means VLK will be going up probably peaking in price around October. Many people are sceptics of VLK now, IMHO this year they will prove the sceptics wrong.
UNG remains a strong buy, the market is just waiting for proof of performance at the next results. OSH remains unbelievably low and has all the bad news and more and yet more factored in, which is very unfair (good oportunity). They have taken good action (closed some loss making practices and restructered the debt such that provided interest rates remain below 8% they are fine and have extra money now to work with that was paying back the interest)
I see VLK and OSH and UNG and APH and ELA outperforming the market between now and the year end.

Annual General Meeting trading update - Wednesday 25th May 2005
Vislink plc ('the Group'), the leading supplier of microwave radio and satellite transmission products for the broadcast and security markets and of CCTV systems for the marine security market, held its Annual General Meeting today.
The Chief Executive Ian Scott-Gall made the following announcement to the shareholders present at the meeting.
The Group has made a promising start to the year. The Group's trading is in line with expectations and is significantly ahead of the previous year. The order inflow has been particularly good for MRC in the domestic US markets and for Hernis in its marine safety market. The Board is pleased to announce that MRC has been awarded an order in excess of $4 million for its TSSR US military radios.
Link Research Limited, which was acquired by the Group on February 11th 2005,
has made a good start. Link has now been accepted on the 2GHz programme as a supplier for wireless camera systems and continues to win new business. Its new
video cellular diversity wireless camera system was used for the first time to provide coverage for the recent University Boat Race.
The UK business is now seeing stronger international demand although the market has remained competitive. The large contract in Venezuela is expected to benefit the second half of the year with completion in the fourth quarter.
Hernis has made an encouraging start to the year with orders and operating profits in line with expectations. Hernis has seen growth in its Far East
markets with significant orders for both marine and offshore oil and gas projects.
In summary, the Board is encouraged by the current level of trading and looks forward to the rest of the year with enthusiasm and confidence.

Vislink puts bad year behind it
Wed 25 May 2005
VLK - Vislink
LONDON (SHARECAST) - Broadcast business Vislink, which enables customers to broadcast events over the TV, managed to put a troublesome 2004 behind it today as the group said trading is significantly ahead of last year.
Chief executive Ian Scott-Gall said at the AGM today, Vislink has made a promising start to the year. The Group's trading is in line with expectations and is significantly ahead of the previous year.
Vislink said its UK business was seeing stronger international demand, although the market has remained competitive. The large contract in Venezuela is expected to benefit the second half with completion due in the fourth quarter, added the firm.
"The Board is encouraged by the current level of trading and looks forward to the rest of the year with enthusiasm and confidence," added Vislink.
In September the group shocked its shareholders saying it had dived into the red at the halfway mark, adding that a lack of demand for its products would also hit full-year 2004 profits.

Post copied from poster on another BB and which reads as great news.
This is an article from tomorrows IC:
Vislink
Shares in IT hardware group Vislink had a fantastic run between the beginning of November 2004 and the middle of March, gaining around 70 per cent as news of an acquisition and a major contract win were well-received.
That rally in part also reflected a recovery at the group's UK operations, which had experienced poor trading in the first half of 2004. However, the shares have since fallen from mid-March's high of 32.75p and are now looking cheap again.
Vislink supplies microwave radio and satellite transmission products to niche sectors such as the broadcast and security markets, as well as integrated CCTV (closed circuit television) systems for applications in the marine security and petroleum industries.
And final results (released in late March) revealed that, despite last year's turnover from continuing operations being flat at 67.8m (68m in 2003), Vislink had actually improved second-half sales to 37.7m from 30.1m in the first half. This increase was partly driven by the group's US-based Microwave Radio Communications (MRC) business as it benefited from a strong intake of orders, particularly from the US government.
But Vislink's UK business, despite a move to rationalise its operations into one site at the end of 2003, continued to suffer from weak sales and trading losses in the first half. After a further 1.5m was spent last year on restructuring, though - which involved operational management changes and additional cost-cutting - the business returned to profitability in December.
The group's marine safety business, Hernis, saw growth in both order intake and operating profits during the year. Currently, it is experiencing increased demand from the Norwegian oil and gas market.
For the 12 months to 31 December, the group's pre-tax loss was reduced to 809,000 (from a loss of 3.4m in 2003). Earnings per share, before goodwill amortisation and exceptionals, were flat at 1p.
The current year has got off to a good start, too, with Vislink's MRC winning an initial order of $30m to build equipment for a North American provider of wireless communications services.
Link Research - a provider of digital wireless camera systems that Vislink bought for 10.8m in January - will also profit from this deal as purchases made by MRC from Link will increase as a result of the order. The Link acquisition benefits the group as a whole because it now retains the royalties that it previously paid to Link on products supplied to Vislink, while the integration of Link's wireless camera systems with Vislink's own product offering is expected to provide opportunities for further growth.
Vislink is now expected to return to profit this year, and normalised earnings per share are set to increase by 40 per cent to 1.4p. For next year, the consensus forecast estimates earnings per share to more than double to 3.2p. Consequently, the shares represent good value.

MRC Shipment of TSSR Radio Systems Breaks 1000 Mark
Released 06 June 2005
Microwave Radio Communications (MRC), a Vislink Company, announced today that it has now shipped over 1000 of its TSSR tactical microwave communications systems. The TSSR is a transportable 15 GHz microwave system that was designed to support terrestrial relay of voice and data communications from satellite and troposcatter ground stations to tactical nodes and command centers. The TSSR has also been widely deployed for connecting approach radar and surveillance radar systems with remote air traffic control systems. Shortly after the achievement of this milestone, MRC received a new $4.6 million dollar order for TSSR systems.
These events mark important landmarks for our company, said MRCs president Tony Finizio. With global events such as they are, we are pleased to provide high quality, reliable products like the TSSR that our military continues to desire for its tactical capability.
Drawing from the experience gained in more than four decades of designing and building microwave systems, MRC has been supporting military programs since the Vietnam conflict, and continues to develop a broad range of products to solve demanding point-to-point and satellite communications problems. The TSSR transportable system can be quickly deployed in the field, and readily interfaces with TRI-TAC ICD baseband signals, or AN/TAC-1 fiber optic systems.

squidd/baza there was always going to be an amount of holders who purchased in just in case the news was better than expected, they will sell out with a small dip in the price before the buyers return in the run up to results.
A small dip on a small amount of profit taking before the buying returns and the price rises to the next level which will be over the 45p mark.
If you notice the trading statement it is positive in they say "in line" which means only upside. It would have been normal or negative if they said "broadly in line".

Contract Wins
Released 12 July 2005
Vislink plc, (The Group) a leading supplier of microwave radio and satellite transmission products for the broadcast and security markets and of CCTV systems for the marine security market, is pleased to announce that a number of significant contracts have been awarded to both our broadcast businesses and Hernis, our marine safety business in the second quarter.
In June, Vislink Communications, the Groups UK satcoms business, has won several contracts from a Western European satellite operator to supply satellite uplinks for mobile flyaway systems and fixed earth stations. The value of these contracts for delivery in the second half of this year is in excess of 2.6 million.
In the US, MRC has seen a particularly strong order inflow in the second quarter as a result of growth in both their international and domestic markets. Recent international orders included a $2.0million Korean order for digital fixed links and orders approaching $1.0 million dollars in both Hong Kong and China for portable and helicopter microwave links. MRC continues to receive on-going orders from their domestic market under the BAS rechannelisation programme.
In June, Hernis, the Groups Norwegian based marine safety business, has been awarded a contract worth in excess of 0.5 million to supply a video surveillance system for the large Bohai Phase II Project in China. The system consists of close to 200 specialised camera stations and digital recorders for the hazardous area environment that will be installed on five different wellhead platforms and the main floating production platform.

squidd and peeyam I have had a top up today. The charts say this is a new higher low and going by the charts you can say this is going to near 60p. Results in just over 4 weeks and we have been told they will be good.
The big change recently is the dollar dropping, this will make those MRC profits even better for VLK and also make MRC even more competitive in the second half and we know they got loads of orders in the first half.
This was breaking 40p at the time of those sad London bombs.

squidd 237K buys & 25k sells yesterday I think and I checked the earlier trades and it looked like someone was mopping up the sells after the London incident stopped the price as it was going through 40p, so to check this I topped up with a buy at 34p yesterday and as soon as I did the price went up. The buy was shown as a sell and as the price went up there is seems to be no slack so someone was mopping up the recent small sells. Would not be surprised to see lots more buying into the results 1st of September and another increase in one of the insitutions holdings.
My target for the price after the results do show how good things are and we are back to profits is well over 50p maybe touching 60p.

peeyam yes it tested the support level and if it went through 30p it would have been bad and that it did not and bounced up from 34p offer is very bullish. peeyam very true the thing thats hidden from most now is the fact that even with the EPS forecast to double for next year on the excellent orders the sterling to dollar effect will raise EPS even more.

peeyam I passed this over to Wapit so here for you too, large contract news in the coming weeks would no doubt be a massive boost to the price however so will an EPS upgrade as Vislink is presently trading at only 12 times forecast 2006 EPS. With US interest rates due to go up and UK rates to go down the dollar will continue to strengthen which will boost Vislinks sterling profits for the second half. A 2006 EPS upgrade to 3.5p would make 13 times the forecast 45.5p and an upgrade to 3.8p would make 13 times forecast 49.4p.
Sector average PER is 19.5 and market average is 13.49 so if you give Vislink a PER of 16 on upgraded EPS forecast of 3.5p you get a price of 56p. Even if you leave present forecast 2006 EPS where it is and give a PER of 19 then the price is 60p. There is plenty of room for upgrades and also plenty of reason and March and August are the times the Institutions like to buy Vislink.
If you look at the Price to Sales Ratio (PSR) for Vislink its x0.58 where Sector average is x5.44 which leaves plenty of upside (market average is x2.36), give VLK a PSR of x1 and its up in the 70p range.
This is the question do you add and buy now or wait until the brokers upgrade by which time its too late as its gone up already before you hear about it. In these recovery plays its all about getting in on the growth in EPS before the brokers upgrade their forecast, which will be due for VLK in mid September in my opinion.
Brokers upgraded VLK 2006 EPS forecast early July on the contract wins and what has not gone in yet is the sterling profit to dollar increase which I am sure will be mentioned in the results due around the 1st of September after the previous results wording and will cause another upgrade in September along with a strong order pipeline for Link, Hernis and MRC (and of course Vislink) which should be noted in the coming results in my opinion.

Flying TV add new COFDM airborne system from Link 2005-08-08
Link have sold an airborne XP system to Flying TV, the UKs only ready to go TV Helicopter.
G-PIXX is equipped with Links latest 5W COFDM Amplifier and rack mounted TX unit which enables any satellite truck equipped with a COFDM receiver to receive the transmission. This system will give a range of around 100Km without the need for any mechanical tracking antennas enabling G-PIXX to cover any breaking news or sports event.
Link have been working with Flying TV over the past six months and have already used this system to great effect on many news and sports stories including the 2005 University boat race.
"The LINK COFDM system has delivered over 80 hours of robust live transmissions into a variety of fixed and mobile receive sites all over the UK. As we operate with a 2 person crew we love the 'fit and forget' design of both the TX and RX side - it's easier to use than a cellphone - and it enables us to offer live coverage to our customers over distances never previously achieved in the UK."

squidd the on balance volume making new highs again after London knocked it down means they will have to keep raising the price to get sellers to fill the buys. Its looking very strong and an upgrade to EPS forecast after profitable results based on strong order book and increased profits from the weakening pound to the dollar are due so 50p here we come in my opinon.
Would not be surprised to see a few more 100K buys at the end of the day like yesterday in the remaining time before results as I think Goldman are after another million having got about 400K to 500K at the moment.

The battering taken by the big pharmas on Friday after the Vioxx case, looked set to continue this morning with GSK in the firing line after release of a report pointing to suicidal tendencies with Seroxat, and I thought this would give a big boost to ULT. The recent contract news was good but then again there was profit taking after that rise including EK selling out. If they can sustain more good news and contracts then it will move up, but like you say it could be peoples expectations of more things thats giving the second rise, so there might be a time to do some top slicing when the current rise loses momentum if no new news comes.

MRC Win Military Orders Totalling $8.4m Released 08 November 2005
http://www.adventcomms.com/press/container.php?recordID=83
Microwave Radio Communications (MRC), a Vislink company, was recently awarded a number of contracts to supply equipment to support US military programmes. These included a $6.1m order from the US Marine Corps for 70 TSSR transportable radio systems to be shipped between January and April 2006.
The TSSR system can be quickly deployed in the field and is designed to support terrestrial relay of voice and data communications. This order comes only four months after MRC announced the milestone of having already shipped more than 1000 TSSR systems.
This demonstrates MRC building momentum supporting and developing the US military market inline with Group strategy said Vislink Chief Executive, Ian Scott-Gall.

This share looks good. The chart looks like it has 20% upside, although I'd like to wait another day or two to make sure it's moving up. It was picked out by the chartist in shares magazine this week. They're normally not too bad with their short term chart predictions, as opposed to their plays of the week which are awful. By the way, papal power congratulations on champion investor. Are you safeguarding your lead now by staying out of the markets. one of the reasons this thread may not get many posters is that it's just underneath tadpole's thread, something none of us wish to be associated with

Saintserf, VLK should be good in my opinion for a break through 45p and then up to touch 55p before dropping back to 50p, just my thoughts. It needs some news to push it up, another big contract win would be good.
It not overpriced, but needs a broker update or contract win to give it the force to go through 45p I think.
On Champ Invest I have just gone long on LEAD in a very big way, fully invested in that, with a few other smaller trades for balance.

Glad to see you're still doing well, papal power in champ investor. I know vislink's got nice trendlines that say buy as the sp is between the bottom and middle I think. It also has 20% rises and 10% dips by my calculations regularly. Thus a continuous ascending price channel. But it doesn't seem to get many trades and doesn't move much consistently. I know these things don't matter much if a share's in a trend pattern like this but they're just a bit discomfiting. What do you think of leadcom's potential at the moment given its rise today. I also wondered if you have any views on Wolfson, seeing I was in Edinburgh today, it's base. I visited the Scottish Parliament today for the first time, very impressive. It made me feel very patriotic.

VLK is still in limbo, although we all know they will make a full year profit, they still have not made one yet. Things will change as full year reporting approches and also after that, as VLK then is classed as a profitable enterprise. VLK also do not offer an interim div, only a full year one, as this causes them to suffer "loss of interest" once interims are out of the way.
Wolfson has performed very well recently, I would not like to have a guess at what the immediate future holds without a lot of research into them.
LEAD I expect to move upwards big time in the next 8 weeks, at sometime, do not know when. Something is happening in the background at the moment, which is keeping a lid on the price, but once this is out of the way, the sheer excellent fundamentals will deservedly push the price much higher. I would expect LEAD to pick up some tips for 2006.

The first ever live, true High Definition transmission from a wireless TV camera took place recently, at the West Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.
Presteigne Broadcast Hire, having been the first company in the world to buy LinkHD systems, supplied the equipment and specialist crew for this groundbreaking project.
Presteignes systems broadcasted HD pictures live from the Hamad Aquatics Centre for the duration of the event, with Al Jazeera TV and additional Asian satellite TV channels taking feeds.
The latest signal delay recorded for the LinkHD system is 62 milliseconds, which is equal to about one and a half frames. These results prove that the performance of the LinkHD will match the broadcasters tough requirements for live sports broadcast.

Following a thorough technical evaluation and a formal European Tender, BBC English Regions has appointed Link Research as its preferred supplier for wireless camera systems and is ordering LinkXPs for thirteen BBC regions.
The BBC regions news crews will be using Links L1910 COFDM wireless transmitters with 2-input diversity and clip on 1 watt power amplifier. This new technology will allow the BBC regional news teams to take on a new and dramatic new look to the way they report on local, regional and national stories from their respective areas.
BBC English Regions is responsible for over 70% of the BBCs domestic programming hours. With a team of journalists based in each regional centre, they produce daily regional news programmes such as Look North and Points West as well as the regional aspects of the BBCs current affairs shows.
LinkXP systems have been ordered for Birmingham, Hull, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Plymouth, Southampton, Tunbridge Wells, Norwich, Newcastle, Oxford, Cambridge and Bristol.
After a competitive tendering process between several leading manufacturers, the BBC decided that Links equipment would give the best performance.
Cellular Diversity is a concept that Link Research has developed where live signals from a wireless news camera are sent directly to a receiver linked into the broadcast network. This will be a highly efficient way to gather news in cities where tall buildings reflect the digital COFDM signals. Link's cellular diversity was first proven with the Oxford/Cambridge boat race coverage and is now being installed in several fixed locations including Helsinki The LinkXP wireless camera system consists of a transmitter with receivers that will deliver a robust performance well beyond the expectations of OB crews used to using analogue equipment. It is a popular choice with broadcasters worldwide.
Link Research has recently enhanced the LinkXP systems to operate in the 3.5 GHz bandwidth and launched a High Definition model of the LinkXP system for sports broadcast at IBC last year.

First in Finland For Links Cellular Diversity Technology
Channel Four Finland, recently used a new digital service when covering the Finnish presidential elections. The service allows news crews to take wireless cameras around Helsinki as a story breaks and easily transmit their coverage back to a studio. The service is being provided by DigitaOY, a leading Finnish supplier of data networks, for a number of user groups including broadcasters. The Chief Executive, Ian Scott-Gall, will give a trading update to the meeting

excellent start to the year with orders currently 50% ahead of the first four

Both MRC and Link are Vislink plc companies. This transaction is part of the Sprint 2 GHz relocation program under way in the US.
The AVS order will make the company the largest provider of LinkXP systems in the world. This investment will enable the company to make even greater strides in the delivery of live content programming to customers around the world.
AVS took delivery of its first LinkXP systems two years ago and was the first customer in the United States to order the Link HD wireless camera systems. In a bit of history, AVS was the first to successfully demonstrate a high definition wireless camera system in the United States at a Monday Night Football game in December 2005. Since then AVS has covered numerous live events with the AVS/Link HD camera system such as the Super Bowl, NBA playoffs and finals and the Academy Awards.
AVS has always been about being on the technological cutting edge and our continuing partnership with Link will further that mission, stated Randy Hermes, president and CEO of Aerial Video Systems.
AVS is based in Burbank, California and specializes in next generation camera and video solutions and has been recognized with seven Emmy Awards for technical achievement.

Seems to be ticking up nicely, but strange that each 5p/10p move on the chart seems to represent a resistance level, so if it can clear & hold above 80p then 85-90p should be the next resistance level.

soul traders
- 20 Oct 2006 13:02

Phew, Harry, I'm not quite sure to be honest. Shares Mag last week had this on a forward PE of 13.8 for 2007 at share price 82.75p, which means that at 90p we're on PE 15.
(If you take the EPS of 2.68 from the interims and double it for the full year (5.36p), at 90p you get PE 17).
Given that the Interim EPS was up 132%, a PE of 15 looks fairly cheap. (PEG 0.11!)
Even if year-on-year growth at year end turned out to be only only 50%, that's still a PEG of around 0.35.
So I don't think that the current SP is overdone. I could see us coming out the right side of 100p on prospects of the promotion to the All-Share Index and maybe 110p afterwards, but that's just guesswork. That would still only be 20.5 times EPS of 5.36p, though, and I think there's more growth likely.
I expect that a few more analysts will start to cover VLK if it gets to the All-Share, so maybe we'll get some better estimates coming out of the woodwork. So far there is only one analyst's "add" recommendation on www.newratings.com.
Hope this helps; apologies if it's a bit waffly, but at the end of the day I am as enlightened or unenlightened as anybody else.

Management changes at Link Research.
On the 31st December 2006 Len Mann stood down as Managing Director of Link Research Ltd, in the culmination of management changes planned since the sale of Link to Vislink PLC by Len and David Mann in February 2005.
Len will now focus on his role on the board of Vislink and his role as Vislink's Chief Technical Officer. David continues to work for Link, designing antennas and providing technical consultancy and support.
Len Mann said "Building Link with my brother David has been a fantastic journey and weve had many challenges and achievements along the way. In todays wireless world there are as many new opportunities for Link as there have ever been. I am delighted that Link will move forward with a very strong team of directors and an excellent workforce. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped Link to become what it is today, including Links staff, cus! tomers, suppliers, several organisations and Vislink. Vislink plc
2006 year end trading update
Wednesday 17th January 2007
"The Group has had another record year with profits in line with expectations for
the year ended 31 December 2006.
Sales increased by 17.5% to 100 million compared with 85.1million for 2005.
Orders received were ahead of last year at 97 million (2005 - 95.5 million)
and the order book remains strong at 34 million.
The Group expects its adjusted operating profit for the year, being operating
profit before the amortisation of acquired intangibles, to be not less than
13.5 million, compared with 8.35 million for 2005.
The domestic market has been particularly strong for MRC, our US business, as a
result of the significant volume of business derived from the 2GHz
re-channelisation programme. Our UK business continues to benefit from sales
into the US through MRC and the increasing demand for Link Research's new High
Definition products as well as the good recovery in sales and profitability of
Advent, the satellite communications business.
Hernis, the Norwegian specialist marine safety and security business, has had
another record year for sales and orders, winning significant orders from both
marine and offshore oil and gas projects.
In summary, trading has been strong across the Group, with record sales and
profits from each of the US, UK and Norwegian businesses. The Board looks
forward to 2007 with enthusiasm and confidence."

Storming results today and a new acquisition. VLK look to be capitalising on a niche area. Plenty of upside potential imo.

A good bounce back and it seems is not the end of it yet
finishing at 44 to 44.25p would be a very good Hammer Candlestick ( though black )

Continuing with the strong move last Friday and now close the BREAKOUT point 49.75p ( Intraday last high - 3 times ), needs volume last Friday to do that.

Any expectations of Interim Management Statement next week?.
Last year there was one on the 18th November but having moved to AIM since where the rules are different, so no need of IMS.

Vislink has materially widened its H1 pretax loss to £32.2m, from a year-ago loss of £881,000.
The loss included a write-off of inventory and capitalised development costs leading to adjustments of £6.3m, and another of goodwill and acquired intangibles leading to an adjustment of £23.3m.
Revenue was lower at £22.6m, from £26.6m.
"We continue to see significant underlying organic growth in our software business with a strong order intake which has carried through into H2," said executive chair John Hawkins.
"The long term prospects for Pebble Beach Systems continue to improve as we augment our core enterprise software solutions with cloud enabled software applications.
"We also have a pipeline of partners and software bolt-on acquisitions which will further enhance the Group strategy of building a high margin, cash generative software business.
"In its core broadcast market Vislink Communication Systems has seen a reduction in spend from broadcasters as they divert budgets from building infrastructure to investing in content. A technology shift to IP infrastructures has also delayed key buying decisions.
"With this background and with a desire to increase the efficiency of VCS and ensure that we build a cash generative sustainable and profitable business we have taken a number of decisive actions as part of our business improvement plan, including the move of the VCS finance function to Head Office leading to improved cash collection.
"We will continue to re-evaluate implementation of the business plan as trading progresses into H2."
