moneyman - 19 Apr 2006 12:05 - 2 of 63

Admission to AIM

RNS Number:6636B
Zareba PLC
19 April 2006

Quadrise Fuels International plc ("Quadrise" or "the Company")
formerly Zareba plc

First Day of Trading

The Board of Quadrise is pleased to announce that, earlier today, the enlarged
share capital of the Company was admitted to trading on AIM and accordingly, the
acquisition of Quadrise International Limited by Zareba plc in a reverse
takeover has been completed.

The ordinary shares of Quadrise will trade under the current TIDM of "ZBA"
until the close of trading today and, thereafter, under the TIDM "QFI".

Since the publication of the admission document in March 2006, the Company is
pleased to be able to report progress in the development of the business.

Our Canadian associate, Quadrise Canada Fuels Systems Inc., has closed its
first commercial scale contract for the manufacture and use of MSAR fuel for
steam generation in a new heavy oil field production development project in
Alberta and has further projects under active negotiation.

Our affiliate, Quadrise Fuels US LP, has been formed recently in Delaware, USA
and initial financing for the US activity is planned for the second quarter of
2006. Preliminary negotiations have started on two potential offshore
manufacturing sites to supply MSAR fuels for the US market.

Concept design and costing for the Quadrise on-site heavy oil separator has now
been completed by an international engineering contractor and cost estimates are
within expectations. The Company is now well placed to finalise offer terms and
progress negotiations on processing and supply contracts currently under
discussion.

Ian Williams, Executive Chairman, commented, "The completion of the reverse
takeover represents a significant milestone for Quadrise and our shareholders.
We now have the resources and the capability to accelerate the commercial
application of MSAR fuels technology and aggressively pursue our early
development objectives.

We are confident that the Quadrise MSAR fuels business will create substantial
value owing in part to the economic benefits it offers to the thermal power
generation industry. Conversion from certain traditional hydrocarbon feedstocks
to MSAR fuels will also contribute to lower emissions."

Bill Howe, Chief Executive, commented, "Our Quadrise MSAR fuels business has
substantial global market potential. This transaction and the support of
shareholders position the Company to actively pursue partnerships in new
markets while also moving to close deals currently in varying stages of
negotiation.

Strong growth in international electrical power demand is set to continue. We
have the ability to offer very meaningful savings in thermal power generation
costs while also adding to the supply of valuable light oils for transportation
fuels.

We hope to be informing shareholders of further progress over the course of the
coming year."

Contracts should flood in, especially with todays new oil price surging to $73 a barrell.
My power station fuel bill is roughly 110 million a year, MSAR technology could save us a fortune, and my power station is tiny, only 70MW, larger 1500MW power stations and above, could make incredible savings.
I hope QFI post RNS regarding all new contracts.I can see this share price slowly but surely increasing all the time over the long term.

hangon - 04 May 2006 16:37 - 4 of 63

New share certs sent out recently, showing 10:1 consolidation, so your 2p ZBA-shares are now QFI, valued at 20p each - the sp has been on the up (recently) as others realise this looks like a good business (being oil and with no survey work needed - just open up old drillings.).
It's nearly 40% up, from Zareba days.
Can't be bad, eh?

(prices indicated are Market mid-prices, not the notional face-value)

someuwin - 07 May 2006 10:56 - 5 of 63

Picked some of these up last week.

Looks like a very interesting company - massive potential. Also press rumours that Quadrise Canada will float in the next two weeks and that this is valued at more than Quadrise cap as it now stands!

someuwin - 07 May 2006 16:10 - 6 of 63

"Final footnote: Quadrise Fuels International is a new name in my portfolio. It is in fact the renamed Zareba, which I have held for the past year, and into which the Quadrise emulsion-fuels business has been reversed. There has also been a 10-for-1 share consolidation.

As usual with consolidations, that has destroyed value, not created any. But there appears to be so much going on with the commercialisation of Quadrises fuel technology in America, Canada and Britain that the effect should be temporary. I would sooner buy more than sell any at this level."

Not a lot - agm was a pleasant afair despite the truth being that there was no news...maybe some serious dilution and cash to last a while longer. Oh dear....but the sp has picked up these last few weeks...but needs much more IMHO.
- I'm just not sure that any small co like this really has enough clout to do profitable deals.

Originally, I had a small investment in Zareba (which changed its name to Quadrise) and I suppose so far it's been pretty poor.....BUT....this does not say that Management has run-off with the dosh - or, as is so often the case been entirely untruthful as to prospects -
IMHO in this instance I think we could have a good business in the making, but it depends upon
World energy pricing,
Green issues
and company cash. . . . and getting a deal but that goes without saying!
I'm holding for now.
EDIT-(Jn09)-Note that Oct07 sp =9p say.......and now (Jn09), it's close to 2p (Mids).

Looks OK to me - I hold from higher - - - now 2.75p

hangon - 07 Dec 2009 17:43 - 35 of 63

Ann. "Some delay in Lituanian project" - this was the conversion of a power station to "heavy oil" (using QFI's technology) - not entirely clear why the current oil-price affects this, as the heavy-oil will track oil, in general.
Maybe the difference is less, but that hardly means you can switch off the lights in Lithuania . . . . . . . . . but it may be this elec is used for industry and not "domestic" - so a general fall in demand could reduce the desire to invest . . . . . not sure it makes much sense, but QFI is as ever, always hopeful something will turn-up. - - - - er, IMHO.
Let's hope it does, currently 3p/4p.
EDIT(March2010)-looks like a spike to 5p was shortlived, but some deals about look good and sp rose 29% - still 3p-ish
EDIT-(14jn2010)-RNS about Canadian Oil-sands-Bitumen...no change 2.5/3.5
EDIT-(20Aug10)-Lost an executive yesterday and ann some wildcat deal in Canada; placing at 1p has dropped sp to a tad over 2p.....DYOR on this one.

2011=New year madness; when sm Buys of 1k push the sp up by 14% - yet the "Sells" are twice as many as total Buys.
There may be some good news out (Recent RNS), but there is so much for them to do before this is a Buy . . . . . IMHO.

Furthermore I'm not entirely sure this "good News" treally is that good - what about the old prospects, what with Oil and Gas prices near record-highs...?
(this was the Lutuanian prospects I posted about, briefly late 2009)- this Co. is asleep.
EDIT(19Jan2011)- up again, 55% I guess I'm wrong. Yet, 20k worth more-Buys, isn't much. 6.5p mid.

Quadrise Fuels International Plc ("QFI" or "Quadrise" or the "Company")

Contract with AkzoNobel for a Commercial Scale MSAR(R) Fuel Manufacturing Plant

Further to the announcement made on 29 June 2011, QFI is pleased to announce the closing of an important contract supporting the project development programme directly managed by Quadrise International Limited ("QIL"), a 100% owned subsidiary of QFI.

An agreement has been concluded with AkzoNobel for the purchase of the first commercial scale 1,000 tonne (6,000 barrels) per day MSAR(R) Manufacturing Unit ("MMU") to be supplied to QIL. Fabrication by AkzoNobel's sub-contractor will commence shortly with scheduled delivery to QIL in the 4(th) quarter of this year. The MMU is sized to fit the early commercial phase requirements of any of the programmes currently being scoped and developed with industry partners for the MSAR(R) Marine Fuels market (initial nominated volumes to be supplied from European ports), and for refinery based projects in Mexico and Saudi Arabia.

The business of QIL involves the manufacture and supply of Quadrise MSAR(R) emulsion fuels as a low cost replacement for conventional fuel oil in oil refining and industrial operations, power generation, desalination and the international marine bunker fuels market.

Fuel oil consumption represents one of the largest liquid fuels markets at a global level - more than 600 million tons per annum. The QIL projects are directed at selective sectors with major industry partners to build secure, diverse and profitable outlets for MSAR(R) fuels.

Commenting on this agreement, Ian Williams, Executive Chairman of QFI said:

"This agreement with AkzoNobel is a significant milestone for the Company. This high quality full scale process plant will provide QIL with the capacity to deliver MSAR(R) fuel for the first of several commercial mode projects in the refinery, power and marine sectors. Delivery is synchronised with programmes currently being developed with major stakeholders including PEMEX and A.P.Moller-Maersk."

hangon - 14 Dec 2011 14:44 - 39 of 63

I have misgiving about management - BUT if what they claim comes to pass and QFI does land a big order for fuel, their fortunes could be transformed - as a fuel oil producer with a price advantage. The snags are many and varied - I don't see the deal with AKZO is tied-up cleanly and if AKZO was given a better offer, maybe an oil-major it would be difficult to refuse - although I understand there is a lot of "know-how" involved in the refining process and Big-Oil have tried similar tech earlier - and failed.
So it's not a matter of dropping in a few pellets of magic into the tank and letting the vibration of the ship/train/power station, etc shake it up.
That would lead to much down-time and most big industries don't want down-time.

Expect a rapid rise in sp before the shipping news is made public - you read it here first!
Difficult to suggest "when" but I suspect the end of June2012 might be a good watching point....this Purely a Speculation . . .I do not know "when" - not even IF, but that is VERY unlikely with so much at stake in Sea-trials, just about started...see RNS.
I find it slightly annoying that the City uses our money to invest cheaply and then takes massive profits. . . . . seems there is something wrong with the set-up. The protester at St Pauls could have a point, although it's not clear (to me) what it is.
EDIT(2Mar2012)-Grief this rise is 100% in 3-days.....but too early for Trial News. Is this is being ramped? "Fools rush..."
EDIT(8Jn2012)_Results: Seems sea-trials confirm it can be burnt and doesn't smell - but engine efficiency and so on (ie the REAL deal) will have to wait for further trials ...and sp lost 8%.. (~ halved fm peak). Oh deary...

Quadrise Fuels also had a great day, putting on 16.7% to 10.5p, after the company announced progress on the commercialisation of its MSAR marine fuel oil. The company describes the product as a "low-cost alternative to heavy fuel oil in the shipping, refining, and power generation markets", and told us today that it has an agreement with AB Orlen Lietuva to manufacture its latest formulation as part of an assessment process.

The results should be in by the end of the year, and this could be worth keeping an eye on for those interested in new startups -- but it's not suffiiently far advanced for anyone to be making any financial forecasts yet.

Quadrise Fuels International PLC

4 March 2013

Quadrise Fuels International plc

("QFI", "Quadrise", "Group" or the "Company")

Quadrise Fuels International plc presents its interim results for the six months ended 31 December 2012

HIGHLIGHTS

Financial

· Cash reserves of £4.02 million as at 31 December 2012 (£2.44 million as at 31 December 2011), sufficient to progress to early stage commercial operations and sustainable revenues based on the current business plan and prospects.

· The successful placing of 50 million new ordinary shares in October 2012, raising gross £3.50 million, which has served to strengthen the financial and shareholder base to allow the management to focus on driving the lead programmes forward as effectively as possible.

· Loss after tax from continuing operations for the period of £3.35 million (2011: £1.60 million), which includes a non-cash charge of £1.8m (2011: £nil) for the impairment of available for sale investments.

· Loss per share 0.45 pence (2011: 0.22 pence).

Operational

· Key milestones passed in the Marine programme with the formulation and testing of Marine MSAR® 2 fuel, targeting the largest new generation marine propulsion engines.

· Confirmation that Quadrise MSAR® technology is now approved for application in Saudi Aramco refineries providing additional impetus to the KSA project programme.

· Selective additions to the active project portfolio with an oil major in Europe and a South American oil company - both being self-funding and having early development potential.

Commenting, Ian Williams, Executive Chairman, said:

"The Company has passed several key milestones in our lead programmes since mid 2012. This, together with selective project additions and a successful share placing, has served to broaden the base and materially de-risk the business. Quadrise continues to benefit from the enthusiasm, commitment and support of our partners in all major programmes, many of whom are leading companies in their industries at a global level. We are very appreciative of this support and believe, as they do, that our combined efforts will be well rewarded in the future.

Appreciation of the "Quadrise Proposition" continues to grow, evidenced by both direct enquiries and specialist and general media exposure. Increased awareness of the value-adding potential for refiners and the "green contribution" associated with production, distribution and combustion has become evident in our general business interactions.

Quadrise is increasingly seen to be a 'game changer', displacing established practice in some large and complex industries. The same industries are also known for rapid adaptation when leading players adopt new technologies. The profile of our projects and partners would indicate that Quadrise shareholders could reasonably expect to benefit in such circumstances."

hangon - 25 Nov 2013 22:56 - 56 of 63

Wow!
sp is really lifting off as punters believe the Co really is on the verge of good times.
25Nov RNS (DYOR) indicates they have 2x contracts with Akzo-Nobel chemicals for the exploitation of the dispersant/stuff.
The AGM was only a few weeks ago with sp ~24p - now it's 36p (~50% uplift, I think).
I hold.
EDIT (6Dec2013):- SP 46p, so near to x2 (prob abt 50p to allow for costs).
EDIT (6Jan2014) - Mitzy sp...it's stuck - HNY to all, etc. this Co. is still waiting for the "Off" -
EDIT (April2014) Don't like Dir sells...anyone else?
EDIT ( 6July2014) - MoS likes this, hence sp blip. ADDED: (24July)- I understand the notion of "banking a profit" ( see 8July dreamcatcher ), but if QFI really is about to fulfil its promise ( and the indications are it still can ), then part-selling ( now ), means you enrich the Broker and diminish your return. Midas is covering himself, just in case it turns nasty - but even he believes there is more sooner than never. However, after this blip is through, expect 30p without any Management News.
EDIT ( 10Oct2014)-down to 31p today.... is this showing us any Big Event is still some way off...... or someone needs the money??
EDIT( 7Jan2015)-The sp has fallen in line with lower oil-prices, presumably making any conversions less attractive. Yet the tar should be falling as well...and Dirs have bought nearly £10m worth ( Dec 2014- DYOR). Wow that's some money to have available...hope they're right as I'm holding-on. 20p today.
EDIT ( 20Jy2015)-sp 11p - this is a result IMHO of the falling Oil-price, it remains to be seen if QFI can grab a big contract to use their tech, when the big users are happy with their spot fuel-costs. This may be a time to Av. dn - but that is always dangerous.... anyone know their cash position / debts /etc?
EDIT (8July2016)- almost 1-year-on . . . and . . . Dir purchases have raised sp to 11p but the new CEO seems to be given many shares "free" DYOR. Also, Saudi potential looks to be pushed back until 2017. More the same, eh?
EDIT-(27July-2016)- Dir Selling has dropped sp to 9p - not good news as Oil is falling further.....
EDIT-(1Sept2016)-... sp ~12p... after "understanding" on a venture in Saudi (DYOR) . . . to convert sludge (my term) into something usable . . . on the face of it this is good . . . against the Global risks to Oil (overproduction) and China slowdown, affecting QFI's brightest hope, so far, Meersk Container Ships.

Sharecast - Quadrise Fuels’ shares have jumped from 10p in October 2012 when Midas tipped them to 35.25p but The Mail on Sunday tipster thinks there is more to come. Its low-cost, greener fuel for the shipping and power industries could be revolutionary. Last week it revealed that tests with the world’s biggest shipping firm, Maersk, had gone well. Those who bought the shares should sell a quarter of them to bank some profits and adventurous newcomers should take a punt.

Not surprised mitzy, The RNS shows the Dirs could only secure a continuation of the supply-deal with AZO chemicals. . . . wait for it . . . until late 2018.
EH? That's a 2-year extension . . . . yet I thought they'd have had the deal wrapped-up until somewhere late in the 2020's - otherwise what is this Investment?
Dir buying doesn't inspire, either. Looks like they are getting zero-cost sweeteners like 1m at 0p could (Are?) selling raises abt. £100k - Grr! ( unless U-know better ).
QFI- Like a basket with a tear, except no-one knows how big the hole is, once anything is placed in it.
Very disappointing and I guess sp=10p would be Bonus, in the circumstances.
... Currently ~12p...
EDIT (20Oct2016)-Rights at 10p is a small discount, but the potential still remains...IC suggest Speculative Buy for the Stock, so this may be worthwhile, now 11p mid. in the Market.
EDIT (2Feb2017)-sp 14p but I don't like ~3m shares Trading in Dir-deals . . . what is that? They don't look like Market Buys, . . . Anyone explain?
EDIT (8April2017)- Oh deary 30% fall on confirmation Marsk has chosen to use low-sulphur EU-apprv fuels to meet EU Regs . . . whilst QFI is still in discussion, it looks like there can't be a deal soon, as the heavy residue is no-longer the issue.... sp abt. 5p. IMHO relying on 1-Customer is stupidly risky. - Views.Anyone?
EDIT(22May2017)- sp 4.2p-ish tells the story as it is . . . . they know no-one that wants their technology ( rather AZO, another story)., so I guess they will fold soon. You would think there would be someone that needed to wash out the old oil - which at least would be an income - perhaps go back to AZO and see if there's another chemical in the Cupboard, that needs some attention . . . . but would anyone trust this lot? Seeking reliance upon a single-customer is a very bad move, IMHO.
EDIT(16Nov2017)-Seems the attn. towards Saudi (?) is "on" - but again it's a single deal...with delays...who knows and sp=3.8p no-one does.
EDIT(22Nov2017)-Co RNS suggests Media comments are...then it fades out...dunno.
EDIT (11Dec2017)-up 37% - sp 8p3 - no obvious reason/RNS zippo..... DYOR.
EDIT (27Jan2018) - I don't like the look of this.... dropped their mainstay and sp is pathetic... I guess the Saudi-project is the only one left.... Will they then lose the AZO-franchise later this year?
EDIT (26March2018) - 43% sp fall to 5p5 - Co. RNS suggests Saudi MRSA won't go ahead. Thus QFI has no-more in its hand.... due to being a 1-trick Co ( as this means less work for Execs)... but means Risk!!! for retail investors. And you thought Carillion was the worst-faller in 2018...
EDIT (14May2018)- abt. 3p now.... you think it would rise with the impending Oil-shortage ( Iraq /Iran).... and the US-led increased sanctions.... Prices at the pumps in UK are up already.
EDIT25June2018)- Seems I missed the Investor phone-in a few days ago . . did anyone get news? Can't think they'd say anything that's not already in the Public Domain..... That's the problem, isn't it? Being a shareholder confers only RISK, it seems.
EDIT (11Sept2018 )- sp 2p9 Ooer - as this is after a small rise!
EDIT(30Nov2018)- Is it AGM-day? - Missed it, as I have more important things to do. I read that AzNobel are to extend the "agreement" another year ( Eh!) and then discuss a further 3-years. DYOR. - This was something I was concerned about from the start.... far too much (everything?) hangs on an agreement - a mere piece of paper. Without this, I'm guessing QFI is worthless . . . maybe that and the pull-back from Middle-East is wrecking the sp ( ~3p). It really looks as though Management has been sunbathing while the World moves on. If there is good News, can someone tell me?
EDIT(7Dec2018)- Begging Bowl time....2.5p =1 for 10. DYOR. Oh deary.
