Another loser was Bob Youngs Beowulf which fell by almost 27 per cent to close at 4.75p after it announced that Phelps Dodge had pulled out of its joint venture on the Jokkmokk permit in Sweden.

The company subsequently announced that Gold Fields had signed a right of first refusal over some other licences but the market decided that this was of little significance.

News Release

Progress Report on the Ballek Copper Gold Deposit Arjeplog County of Northern
Sweden

London : 9 November 2005 : Beowulf Mining plc ('Beowulf' or 'the Company') is
pleased to report progress on the Ballek claims which cover 100 square
kilometres in the Arjeplog County of northern Sweden.

Analysis of a selected drill core in the Lulepotten copper gold deposit, has
given 9 metres of 2.08% copper and 3.69 grams per tonne of gold between 98 and
107m of drill hole number 64206 (a one metre sample gave 20.5 grams per tonne of
gold). A 70 metre mineralised section of the same hole, between 50m to 120m,
contained 0.42% copper and 0.59 grams per tonne of gold. The hole was drilled at
a 65 degree angle to the east.

This mineralised zone is seen to be above the zone responsible for the large
gravity feature, which is shown in the 3-dimensional model on the Company's web
site

www.beowulfmining.com/news

.

The Ballek claims contain the copper gold Lulepotten deposit, which was drilled
between 1960-71 by the Geological Survey of Sweden, who estimated the deposit
contained 5.1 million tonnes of 0.73% copper, 0.25 grams per tonne of gold and 7
grams per tonne of silver. This resource estimate is historical and does not
conform to the Canadian NI 34-101 or Australian JORC resource definitions.

The Lulepotten deposit is only one of several copper gold zones in the Ballek
area. The zones contain sulphide mineralisation composed of chalcopyrite,
bornite, chalcocite with abundant iron oxides.

The Company is examining ways in which advanced geophysical techniques can be
applied to define more specific drilling targets on the Ballek project area.

Commenting on the results, Dr. Robert Young, Chairman of Beowulf said 'the
results improve the existing gold grades at Lulepotten and they suggest that the
mineralisation overlies the large gravity feature which attracted Beowulf to the
Ballek area. We are pleased with progress made and look forward to updating the
market further in the near future'.

Trader Sets Off China's Copper Reserve Auctions

By Alfred Cang
24 Nov 2005 at 09:41 AM EST

SHANGHAI (Interfax-China) -- A "misjudgment" by a trader working for China's State Reserve Bureau (SRB) triggered a flood of China's copper reserves into the open market in an effort to bring down prices, a government-run Chinese newspaper reported Thursday.

The auctions were triggered by the misjudgment of trader Liu Qibing with the National Control Centre who struck futures deals for the SRB at his office in Shanghai, the state-run newspaper China Daily reported Thursday.

In July and August, Liu took short positions equal to about 130,000 tonnes of copper at $3,300 a tonne, expecting the price to decline, the newspaper said.

But prices kept rising, exposing the government to losses of hundreds of millions of dollars when the contracts are due on December 21.

In reaction, the government auctioned about 40,000 tonnes of copper in the last eight days to bring down the price and reduce losses stemming from Liu's short position. The bureau said would sell a total of 60,000 tonnes of copper in three more auctions in the next several weeks, the state-run newspaper Shanghai Securities Journal reported Thursday.

Copper in Shanghai dropped by the largest margin in half a year on Wednesday on the government's intervention. The SRB, the country's metals strategic manager, announced the third copper auction yesterday hours after its completed the second, continuing to flood the market with the national stockpile.

The SRB has declined to comment on Liu's involvement and denied earlier in the month that he worked for the bureau.

Vismand Exploration Earns Into Beowulf Minings Ballek Exploration Permits In Sweden

By Sally White

Losing Phelps Dodge as a joint venture partner was a blow, but Beowulf Mining is now more than happy with the outcome. The AIM list Scandinavian copper, gold and uranium explorer has found a new partner in private Canadian group Vismand Exploration , which, Beowulf Mining chairman Dr. Bob Young says, has the most impressive board I have ever seen in terms of experience.

Phelps Dodge bowed out last summer. Then Beowulf Mining started talks with Gold Fields, who were given first refusal on a joint venture. But just before Christmas Dr. Young announced an option and earn-in agreement with Vismand Exploration on Ballek 2,3 and 4 exploration permits, which cover 100 sq. kilometres of Arjeplog County of Northern Sweden. He is hoping that this will meet with favour from the punters, now back post-Christmas, and that Beowulf Mining will start to recoup some of the share price ground it lost.

Vismand has been granted an option to acquire a 50 per cent interest in the licences by undertaking deep sensing Titan 24 geophysical surveys and 3,000 metres of diamond drilling. The surveys are to include induced polarization, resistivity and magneto telluric methods. They are designed to identify targets associated with the gravity anomaly under the claim block. Work is likely to start in the early spring, or when temperatures are nearer to 20C than 40C.

Dr. Young has eyes not just on the experience of the board and its exploration team, but the fact that Vismand Exploration is well funded. It is has just raised C$15.8million in exploration finance. He expects more Canadian links to be in the pipeline of good news he says is in preparation for 2006. Canadians, on the whole, he says, seem to have more of a taste for Scandinavia than Africa. Must be something to do with the thickness of the blood.

As to Phelps Dodge, he says, They obviously did not think that what they found was good enough. Though, he adds, we certainly do. Phelps Dodge deployed the team that had been working with Beowulf Mining to the Congo instead, so that must have warned them up.

Latest analysis of a selected drill core in the Beowulf Minings Lulepotten copper gold deposit has given nine metres of 2.08% copper and 3.69 g/t gold between 98 and 107metres of drill hole. A one-metre sample gave 20.5 g/t gold. A 70 metre mineralised section of the same hole, between 50metres to 120metres, contained 0.42% copper and 0.59 g/t gold. Historical analysis by the Geological Survey of Sweden in the 1960s put an estimate on Lulepotten as containing a 5.1million tonne deposit of 0.73% copper, and 0.25g/t gold and 7 g/t silver. This is only one of several copper gold zones in the Ballek area.

Commenting on the recent results, Dr. Young said: The results improve the existing gold grades at Lulepotten and they suggest that the mineralisation overlies the large gravity feature which attracted Beowulf to the Ballek area. Maddeningly for Dr. Young, he is not being allowed to relax and enjoy his Vismand Exploration success. Beowulf has an 8 per cent stake in Ofex uranium explorer Agricola, where he is also a director. That seems to have become the target of a bear raider, and he now has to tackle that problem!

Beowulf expands present holdings in Northern Sweden.
Registers new mineral claim hosting large titanium deposit.

London 26 January 2006 : Beowulf Mining PLC (AIM:BEM), the AIM listed mineral
exploration company, with projects in Sweden, announces that the Swedish state
mining authority, Bergsstaten, has registered an exploration permit for Beowulf
for a new area called Ruoutevare, covering a large ore deposit of titanium. The
claim has a total area of 850 hectares and is located in the Caledonides
mountain region, within the Jokkmokk County, approximately 50 km west of
Beowulf's Majves' claims in northern Sweden. (See
www.beowulfmining.com
).

The permit covers the Ruoutevare titaniferous iron deposit, which has been known
of since the 18th century and investigated several times during the last
century. As yet no production has occurred. The investigated part of the deposit
is relatively flat lying, and covers an area of 387,000 m2.

The reserves at the latest study in 1975 by the Geological Survey of Sweden
(SGU) are estimated at 116 million tonnes with an average 38.2% Fe (iron), 5.6%
Ti (titanium) and 0.17% V (vanadium). A richer section of 20 million tonnes is
registered with a grade of 47% Fe, 11% TiO2 and 0.15% V2O5. These figures are
based on 32 drill holes and do not follow present JORC or 43-101 standards.
The mineralization consists of magnetite, ilmenite, spinel and smaller amounts
of pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and pentlandite. The dominant silicates in the
mineralizations are plagioclase, olivine, pyroxene and garnet. The host rock is
a large, mafic intrusion defined as anorthosite, which locally grades into
gabbro.

Commenting on the news, Dr. Robert Young, Beowulf's Chairman said, 'In the light
of the present demand by various industrial sectors for titanium Beowulf intends
to re-evaluate available data, and will perform additional local studies and
drilling, and hopes to turn the Ruoutevare deposit into a commercial titanium
mine.'

Notes on titanium, market etc:

Titanium is a metal with many special properties. The metal has an excellent
strength to weight ratio and is almost totally resistant to corrosion and
erosion. This makes the metal in great demand by the world's airline industry,
which consumes a major part of the present world production. By using titanium
the airline industry can extend the life of the aeroplanes produced. The present
boom in aircraft building has resulted in a forecast increase in usage of
titanium by the civilian airline industry from an estimated 29,000 tonnes in
2004 to 48,000 tonnes by 2008.

Because of its unique biocompatible properties titanium is also increasingly
used by the medical sector. The metal has a large range of applications as an
effective material for the manufacturing of hip prosthesis, cardiac pacemakers,
artificial jaws, etc. The outstanding strength to weight ratio of titanium has
also opened up a new and fast growing market with its usage by the sport sector
for manufacturing heads and shafts for golf clubs.

Titanium as titanium oxide (TiO2) is used by the chemical industry. It is a
white pigment, which is used in paints, paper and plastics.

The metal is not traded on metal bourses but is sold by local producers, who
determine the price. The worlds' largest titanium producer is the Russian
company VSMPO- Avisma. The price of one kilogram of pure titanium plate is today
approximately 20 USD or about 6-7 times that of stainless steel. With special
alloys the price of titanium plates is much higher.

NEWS RELEASE

Beowulf Mining plc (AIM:BEM), the AIM listed mineral exploration company,
announces that it has been gifted 5,000,000 ordinary 1p shares in All Star
Minerals PLC (All Star).

All Star is a company with 30,000,000 ordinary shares in issue, of which the
directors are currently Bruce Rowan and Dr Robert Young who is also Managing
Director of Beowulf. Dr Robert Young is interested in 5,900,000 ordinary shares
of All Star and Bruce Rowan is interested in the remaining 19,100,000 ordinary
shares. The directors of All Star intend for All Star to obtain an OFEX Listing
and become involved in the exploration and development of thorium, an element
that the directors believe is the near-term future of nuclear fuel.

In the February 2005 US Geological Survey annual report on rare earths it said
on page seven that, "In the future, thorium's use as a non proliferative nuclear
fuel is considered a likely replacement for uranium, especially in a world
concerned with the threat of terrorism. As demand for thorium increases,
monazite would resume its role as a leading source of rare earths."

Thorium was first discovered in 1828 by the Swedish chemist, Jons Jakob
Berzelius, who named the metal after Thor, the Norse god of war. Thorium, which
is represented on the periodic table by the symbol Th, has been recognised for
its ability to power reactors since nuclear energy emerged in the 1950s. Thorium
makes up around 0.0007% of the earth's crust, making it roughly three times more
abundant in the earth's crust than uranium, its more radioactive counterpart.
However, thorium has been largely ignored for nuclear energy due to its atoms
being difficult to split, which is the fundamental requirement of a fission
reactor.

Thorium is composed of a common single stable isotope, 232Th, which can absorb
neutrons and convert to 233U (uranium-233). From this point 233U undergoes
fission to generate energy. As well as generating power, a further advantage
from using thorium is the significantly lower level of transuranic waste that is
produced compared to a reactor powered by uranium or plutonium.
