Fred1new - 26 Jan 2010 10:00 - 101 of 3532

GF,

Thank you.

I will have a look.

At the moment trying to rethink my "charting", which means simplifying them down to my level.

Also, in the present unstable market, I think that the reliability of any trading technique is problematic.

I have made too many mistakes recently.

goldfinger - 26 Jan 2010 13:39 - 102 of 3532

Your not the only one Fred.

When the markets against you the markets against you.

Stan - 26 Jan 2010 15:23 - 103 of 3532

Thanks for the XTA chart Fred, I like the look of that one.

goldfinger - 28 Jan 2010 10:05 - 104 of 3532

Might be wortha trading buy on this one, from investors inteligence....

UK Chart of the Day: 28 January 2010

Chart of the day: A rebound in Man Group?

Price trends in stocks can last for some time. In the case of Man Group, the fund management group, the downtrend is now entering the tenth consecutive session (see right).

When prices are far above or below the 50-day moving average, mean reversionary forces will pull it back towards the line. It happened last October and again in November. Moreover, the trend is vastly oversold and at support

Therefore, we open a speculative buy to bet on reversion to the mean. Stop at 220p.

RBS has a good and interesting chart - go to the thread and you'll see.

=======

flight just called so will catch up with you guys tomorrow or perhaps this evening if not too flaked or nagged by Beloved for attention

goldfinger - 28 Jan 2010 10:29 - 106 of 3532

Went in and bought RBS cyners friday of last week.

Fred1new - 28 Jan 2010 19:19 - 107 of 3532

GF, Have a look at http://www.sharescope.co.uk/tutorial37.html

It will give you a good idea of the power of Sharescope.

The thing which I like is the speed of changing of setting up charts and accessing them, and flicking to Fundamentals and portfolios and other data.

Bloody awful day again. Didn't expect the FTSE drop.

Fred1new - 28 Jan 2010 19:23 - 108 of 3532

I don't believe it, I am actually up about 1%..

That worries me even more.

8-(!)

Fred1new - 01 Feb 2010 09:41 - 109 of 3532

GF,

I have a bone to pick with you.

Since you started this thread, I have realised how woolly my application of TA is,

I spent all day analysing and writing down how I use it.

Cost me hours of my life.

Now to analyse my screening or filtering and then Fundamental ratios and stop loss techniques.

Many thanks for giving me a kick up the

Have a good day.

Fred1new - 03 Feb 2010 13:23 - 110 of 3532

GF. Referring back to Zig Zags.
i
One of the thing which is useful for me is using it to draw short term trends and measuring percentage rise or fall.

I can do this easily in sharecope. Don't seem able to do this on Moneyam charts.

-----------------------------

I have on my watch list for trying to swing trade, if I can only get a pairing. Find that the majority of my holds are travelling in unison in the same direction.

I hope the C+P make sense.

PS. working on Stop and Loss settings, find it difficult to come to any conclusion on a/the correct way.

Trying to associate it to ATR. Any ideas.

It seems easy when using SBs.

Balerboy - 03 Feb 2010 15:41 - 112 of 3532

It would seem that all gains today have drizzled away......like the weather.

Fred1new - 03 Feb 2010 15:56 - 113 of 3532

Baler, Have a look at TW. Maybe 20-30% uptrend in it. But DYOH.

Balerboy - 03 Feb 2010 16:58 - 114 of 3532

Stan - 03 Feb 2010 17:12 - 115 of 3532

goldfinger - 03 Feb 2010 22:04 - 116 of 3532

Hi fred ..chaps sorry for non commitment here at mo.

Family bereavement.

Fred1new - 03 Feb 2010 23:14 - 117 of 3532

Sorry for any pain.

Fred1new - 23 Feb 2010 13:48 - 118 of 3532

Comments remain the same as below except that charts may suggest that after sideways trading that the price has broken through down trend resistance line.

Cheap for the future BDYOH and birth certificate.

RNS this AM which read: Accsys in distribution deal with Enno Roggemann
Business Financial Newswire
Accsys has signed a new distribution agreement for the sale of Accoya wood in Germany and Poland with Enno Roggemann GMBH.

Enno Roggemann will work closely with Accsys to build Accoya wood's market penetration and is expected to sell a minimum of 40,000 sq metres of Accoya over the next five years.

Joint marketing activities will begin immediately with Enno Roggemann and Accoya exhibiting at Fensterbau Frontale, the German International Trade Fair for windows, doors and facades in March.

PREVIOUS thought and RNS

Worth a look for those prepared to hold and wait.

I hold shares in this company. Unfortunately bought at wrong price.

I think company have got their act together over the last six months and have I hope a bright future as does the following RNS.

It is a long term hold awaiting recovery in the building and construction and Maintenance areas.

Their opposition Kurwa seem to be in a spot of bother.

======

The chart shows price has broken above the downward trend line

Accsys making good progress on all fronts
Business Financial Newswire
Accsys Technologies is seeing improvements in its trading environment and is making good progress on all fronts.

It said that having redoubled its efforts to seed international markets with Accoya wood, it has signed 11 new agency and distribution agreements with partners in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia since October.

And the firm firm says it is collaborating closely with its distribution partners, with joint marketing programmes, to encourage and develop markets and applications for Accoya wood.

Chief executive Paul Clegg said: "The restructuring that was implemented earlier in our financial year is starting to show positive results and we continue to make improvements to best position the company for the challenges ahead as we exploit the markets for our products."

One to have a look at. Bought in myself first thing. LOG Logica.

Seems to be a bit of false data on the chart but its still a breakot from the chart pattern.
