Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Socrates - 28 Apr 2006 20:48 - 10059 of 24230

No, just shunted into a siding.

Socrates - 29 Apr 2006 14:10 - 10060 of 24230

To continue the railway analogy, the line into the cafe was blocked this morning, points failure? Never mind, I'm here now and just about to press the button on my new ACME self erecting hammock. Stand back, I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt, or worse, having a hammock strung around their necks.

optomistic - 29 Apr 2006 17:45 - 10061 of 24230

My access to am has just come back this afternoon. Not all users had the system failure.....most odd :-)

Fundamentalist - 29 Apr 2006 18:11 - 10062 of 24230

Afternoon Opto

had no access here either

Spaceman - 29 Apr 2006 21:11 - 10063 of 24230

No Access here either but thats cos I was too mean to pay T-Mobile for a hotspot pass...

However after 2 days without web access I relented, actually 39 Euros for 7 days isnt bad.

Queens day here in Amsterdam today thousands of people on the street and the canals drinkling and 'smoking' shame I am to old to enjoy it ....

Socrates - 29 Apr 2006 22:24 - 10064 of 24230

Given that Spacie is in Amsterdam, I am unsure as to what "Queen's Day" represents!

Spaceman - 30 Apr 2006 08:47 - 10065 of 24230

Socs, LOL but its maily the Queen Beatrix type of queen although the other type were also there.

Its a strange thing this queens day, mostly youngters walking about and drinking the strangest thjing for me was that by about 1830 most people had gone home ! seemed the wrong way round to me, when I was a student I would not have thouhgt of going out before about 2100.

What a bright, sunny day. Up at crack o'sparrows so lit the barbie. I've got a whole pig roast going so I hope there is plenty of help to eat it. Carve a chunk and help youselves to rolls, salad, drinks etc. If I fall asleep just give me a nudge.

jeffmack - 01 May 2006 09:13 - 10067 of 24230

Cats and dogs here Socs.

Socrates - 01 May 2006 09:40 - 10068 of 24230

Fine here on the Coffee House patio, better come over here and indulge yourself, Jeffers.

Spaceman - 01 May 2006 09:50 - 10069 of 24230

Morning all, raining in Amsterdam, not that I have ventured out of the Sofitel yet today ;-)

Socrates - 01 May 2006 10:04 - 10070 of 24230

Spaceman
Sounds like you need the first flight back for the pig roast!

Spaceman - 01 May 2006 10:10 - 10071 of 24230

Socs, at least it isnt a Lamb roast ;-)

Spaceman - 01 May 2006 15:23 - 10072 of 24230

Its been pissing down here all day, just come back to the hotel after a few hours getting wet and boring outrselfs silly in museums.

Time for an afternoon swing in the hammock and a danish.

Spaceman - 02 May 2006 08:27 - 10073 of 24230

Morning all, lovely day in Amsterdam, bright and sunny, a nice change after yesterday when it rained all day. We are off to De Bijenkorf store (sort of Dutch John Lewis) for some breakfast.

Socrates - 02 May 2006 17:10 - 10074 of 24230

Good evening all, I think I will have a couple of pork butties, plenty left from yesterday as there were very few people around. A proper sandwich though, two loaves with a leg of pork between.

optomistic - 02 May 2006 19:10 - 10075 of 24230

Evening Socco, couldn't manage one of your specials...nice slice would be lovely though :-))
Do you think it was quiet yesterday because there was no choice of meat?

Socrates - 02 May 2006 21:18 - 10076 of 24230

I don't know Opto, perhaps I'm using the wrong soap.

Socrates - 03 May 2006 16:51 - 10077 of 24230

Will the last one out please turn out the lights!

optomistic - 03 May 2006 16:54 - 10078 of 24230
