Haystack - 02 Aug 2006 10:58 - 1022 of 2511

Just previously over-valued and still is (IMHO).

cynic - 02 Aug 2006 11:05 - 1023 of 2511

I don't really agree with Haystack, who has a consistent record of being bearish on every stock about which he writes (I think!) ...... However, there is nothing currently to excite buyers of VOG and on chart technicalities, now that the 80/84p support has been broken, there seems little further support until about 50p ...... From memory, no drilling news is predicted until October and with markets still very dangerous (IMO) and volatile (clearly), there seems no hurry to start buying ... yet!

soul traders - 02 Aug 2006 11:26 - 1024 of 2511

Dead right, Cynic, IMO. Drifting on lack of news.

Are you planning to top up if the SP hits a lower level (50p/whatever)? I would be sorely tempted - just having a difficult time deciding which of my internal organs I might have to auction to raise the necessary readies.

cynic - 02 Aug 2006 11:39 - 1025 of 2511

In a word, YES! .... but shall stay well clear of EME (and SEO!)

soul traders - 02 Aug 2006 11:45 - 1026 of 2511

Agree that EME is a disappointment. Fortunately I avoided the whole affair. I'm not sure if it still has any value worth chasing as I'm not sufficiently acquainted with the company, however I am sure I'd not have come out with much in the way of profits had I been involved at any point over the last year.

As for SEO - I could be persuaded, but probably not for more than 3p a share. I might be prepared to gamble the odd 500 if I thought maybe the only way was up.

cynic - 02 Aug 2006 11:47 - 1027 of 2511

SEO - may be better bet to go short!

soul traders - 02 Aug 2006 11:59 - 1028 of 2511

Cynic, if I could, I would - or at least would have when I first started making gloomy predictions in May!

scotinvestor - 04 Aug 2006 15:13 - 1029 of 2511

down again

skyhigh - 04 Aug 2006 15:31 - 1030 of 2511

Yes, Grim isn't it ! what a load of sh*te this is !

cynic - 04 Aug 2006 15:38 - 1031 of 2511

read my post 1023

lizard - 04 Aug 2006 15:55 - 1032 of 2511

agree atm- but with this one they will either do very good or they wont. im putting mine away and coming back in 6 months. these mm movements do my head in!. lost on paper a fortune so even if it rallies 20/30% still in loss. still confident although not short term.

Peter123 - 04 Aug 2006 16:04 - 1033 of 2511

i must admit I should took profit at 2.60, but did not now a huge loss!
May I ask Lizard how much you are down in paper profit?

cynic - 04 Aug 2006 16:11 - 1034 of 2511

are you guys talking SEO (wash your mouths out with soap and water!) or VOG?

cynic - 04 Aug 2006 16:13 - 1035 of 2511

If VOG, I too took a swimming pool (much larger than a bath) but am keeping watch ..... Will certainly buy back in if drop is to around 50p and/or closer to next drilling news

2517GEORGE - 04 Aug 2006 16:13 - 1036 of 2511

Greed and fear.

lizard - 04 Aug 2006 16:15 - 1037 of 2511

p123- over 10k. on paper( a fair sum by my standards) . was going to invest as these levels but will wait for the trend to change. increased holding in goo as speculating drilling xxi peru outcome may be good risky though?.

Falcothou - 04 Aug 2006 16:23 - 1038 of 2511

Does anyone know when the test results of hole 103 are anticipated?

candolim - 05 Aug 2006 09:19 - 1039 of 2511

lizard , I am sorry to hear about your vog losses. Since beginning of may I have made a book loss of 7,325.36 on shares I paid 2.50 per share for. I am holding 67,500 shares at the moment. If I were to sell these the loss would be 51,480.00
This would make a total loss of 58,805 at present time. The 67,500 vog I am holding at the moment have been bought at six diffent times ie. 13th may 10,000 shares at 1.67. 25th july 17,500 shares at .9275 pence. 1st june 10,000 shares at 1.8765. 9th june 10,000 shares at 1.6475. 25th august 10,000 at .815 pence. 15th may 10,000 shares at 2.3919. To break even on the total loss of 58,805. I would need to be able to sell my hold of 67,000 vog at 1.59 per share. I am now looking to hold my shares indefinatly, and hope they do not drop any furthur. I never expected to get myself into this position since the beginning of may. I always had high hope for this company. Lets hope for some luck.

cynic - 05 Aug 2006 09:28 - 1040 of 2511

as i mentioned in an earlier post, i too took a pasting (and on EME), but i remain pretty confident that VOG will come good ..... However, given that no news is expected for a further 6/8 weeks or so, i would not be at all surprised to see sp slipping even further, purely on inertia and without any sudden general sell-off

lizard - 05 Aug 2006 09:54 - 1041 of 2511

candolim- i expect there are many of us in this situation. holding though.

if anyone is looking for short term news goo could be worth a go!.
