agree atm- but with this one they will either do very good or they wont. im putting mine away and coming back in 6 months. these mm movements do my head in!. lost on paper a fortune so even if it rallies 20/30% still in loss. still confident although not short term.

lizard , I am sorry to hear about your vog losses. Since beginning of may I have made a book loss of 7,325.36 on shares I paid 2.50 per share for. I am holding 67,500 shares at the moment. If I were to sell these the loss would be 51,480.00
This would make a total loss of 58,805 at present time. The 67,500 vog I am holding at the moment have been bought at six diffent times ie. 13th may 10,000 shares at 1.67. 25th july 17,500 shares at .9275 pence. 1st june 10,000 shares at 1.8765. 9th june 10,000 shares at 1.6475. 25th august 10,000 at .815 pence. 15th may 10,000 shares at 2.3919. To break even on the total loss of 58,805. I would need to be able to sell my hold of 67,000 vog at 1.59 per share. I am now looking to hold my shares indefinatly, and hope they do not drop any furthur. I never expected to get myself into this position since the beginning of may. I always had high hope for this company. Lets hope for some luck.

as i mentioned in an earlier post, i too took a pasting (and on EME), but i remain pretty confident that VOG will come good ..... However, given that no news is expected for a further 6/8 weeks or so, i would not be at all surprised to see sp slipping even further, purely on inertia and without any sudden general sell-off

In many ways, a further fall due to inertia or similar is no worry, always supposing that does not trigger a forced sale ..... In fact, a fall could/will produce a lower risk buying opportunity against VOG coming up with another dud.

Lizard i have bought 13,107 goo at .074 pence, the I bought another 30,248 at .065pence, this bring my current holding to 43,355 shares. Let wait and hope for some good news on this one. I have done that bad since beginning of may, and a lot of my shares were bought on t10 I decided to do a remortgage to pay most of my credit off. This was a cheaper way of paying for my shares that have dropped heavily. Than to keep selling them on closing deals and taking book losses and them buying them back on the t10 waiting for them to go back up. This has taken the majority of stress off me. at least I still hold my shares and hopefully in time the majority will recover. Try to pay for your shares if poss. This credit with the stock brokers is very tempting, and good for you if the market is on the way up. wehn the market dropped in may i had 180k on t10 t15 and t20 this was a nightmare for me, and would not wish the experience on anyone. thankyfully I have sorted a solution out that i can handle.

cynic, why is vog droppping continuously when other higher risk exploration stock was some rises on Friday!...... Surely the fundamentals have not changed and Im not bloody sure what the hell is happening.!!!!!!!1 You think its hity rock bottom and u buy to even your losses and then it falls and you buy again and it falls again.......
Could any1 tell me what the valuation of VOG is currently? Have the fundamentals really changed if they have then the drop is justified!? Views much welcomed

Jameel, long time no see! I recommend you read the last couple of days' posts, as most of your questions seem to have been covered already.
Re the valuation, at some point in the last couple of weeks, somebody pointed out that the current SP just about offered fair value for Kemerkol and that we were essentially getting West Med for free. The fundamentals have not changed greatly as the wells that failed to produce only covered about 10% of the estimated resources at West Med. Given that WM is part of a highly prolific regioin and that VOG has plenty of prospects still left to drill that are actually more likely to produce than were the previous lot, the case ought to be better than ever for buying at these low levels. As with all E&P's, though, one should exercise caution as it is still a risky business.
VOG is likely to drift over the summer as punters will be taking their cash elsewhere until VOG can produce some good news. Still, as I have said before, that ought to provide believers like ourselves with plenty of buying opportunities :o)
