stockbunny - 19 May 2006 13:26 - 10299 of 24230

Wtih the suggestion that it might disappear I should think they will! LOL
;>)
Did you see anything you wanted to buy JJ?
Trying on clothes is such a boring part of the process.

jj50 - 19 May 2006 15:10 - 10300 of 24230

No Bunny, nothing I even wanted to try on. Hate it when you really need something .. shall have a cup of tea whilst in here and cream cake to drown the sorrows! :-)

KEAYDIAN - 19 May 2006 15:20 - 10301 of 24230

Any tea in the pot please?

Spaceman - 19 May 2006 15:24 - 10302 of 24230

Afternoon all, time for a quick cuppa and a danish.

Having made the decision to stay working for a while I find myself doing yet another terrible project ..... maybe they are trying to tell me something !

jj50 - 19 May 2006 15:45 - 10303 of 24230

Tea and warmed danish (with added almonds for Spacey) served now!

Afternoon Keaydian - see Bunny replenished the Guiness, so thought you would be in before 4!

Socrates - 19 May 2006 20:02 - 10304 of 24230

Hello all, Socco is back again after a terrible experience for a person of my sensibilities. I had to get into the Cafe through the ladies loo again, that new lock system will have to go, but this time I found the loo was occupied by a fairly substantial 'lady'. Regrettably I was held captive for 36 hours, well you can't blame her, I am quite attractive after all!

I have only just escaped and need a quiet period of recuperation, about 15 minutes should do the trick. If you see an embarassed looking 18 stone amazon around the place, you can expect that I will be something like 100 miles away in around 30 seconds flat. She did offer the excuse that she had over indulged the sherry trifle a tad, just about believeable.

It is good to back amongst friends again.

Hello!

Hello!

Oh dear, I'm talking to myself again.

Spaceman - 19 May 2006 20:16 - 10305 of 24230

Evening Socs, what a terrible experience ;-)

Good to see you survived and I hope your feeling better.

Socrates - 19 May 2006 20:22 - 10306 of 24230

Yes, better now thank you Spacie. Good that it is the weekend again, time to rest and recuperate

optomistic - 19 May 2006 20:23 - 10307 of 24230

Socco, substantial 'lady' who requires 36 hours of your attentions, even as a young man I would have faltered with those requirements. Must keep well away from the ladies loo, don't think I would survive the 'ordeal'....front door only for me :0)

optomistic - 19 May 2006 20:24 - 10308 of 24230

Better have a pint of Guinness whilst I'm in here as Bunny as gone to so much trouble to renew the supplies.

Socrates - 19 May 2006 20:30 - 10309 of 24230

Hello Opto.

I've just downloaded IE7 Beta 2 from Microsoft, seems to be working OK, bit different to IE6, but then it should be.

optomistic - 19 May 2006 20:48 - 10310 of 24230

Hi Socco, my system is running well, not going to try anything different until it gets past the beta stage.
Have a Guinness :-)

Spaceman - 20 May 2006 08:34 - 10311 of 24230

Morning all, well we do seem to be getting a lot of rain considering we are in the worst drought for years....

We are of to Ashford to have a look at some bamboo flooring, what an exciting day ;-)

Socrates - 20 May 2006 08:37 - 10312 of 24230

Spacie
Bamboo flooring sounds interestimg, what form does it take?

Socrates - 20 May 2006 08:40 - 10313 of 24230

I like it!

Bamboo Flooring

Spaceman - 20 May 2006 08:42 - 10314 of 24230

Socs thats the stuff, its very nice and very hard but there are several finishes, we cant decide which one to go for. Probably the lighter stuff but the samples we have are about 2 inches square and that not enough to tell what it will be like in a house.

Apparently the ashford place has metre square samples !

Socrates - 20 May 2006 08:45 - 10315 of 24230

It certainly does look very nice as an alternative to wood. I love bamboo and have a couple in my garden, but only small ones. Would like a big one, about 20ft, but could not run to the 100ft monsters that can be obtained.

jj50 - 20 May 2006 08:54 - 10316 of 24230

Morning you two :-)

Wait long enough spaceman and socs will have grown your floor for you :-)

Rather grey here this morning in Inveresk.

Kettle on, croissants served :-)

Spaceman - 20 May 2006 09:01 - 10317 of 24230

Socs, I like the plants a lot as well, plan to grow some when we move to Norfolk as we have a biggish garden there (about 1.3 acre) I understand that its best grown inside a large container buried in the ground, this stops its spreading too far. Not that I know anything about gardens other than mowing ;-)

Morning jj, sorry I ate all the croissants, they were yummy.

jj50 - 20 May 2006 09:06 - 10318 of 24230

Spaceman .. having dug a bamboo out, the container is a good idea .. they get out of control in no time! Your Norfolk garden sounds great - when is the move?
