AFC Energy plc (AFC)

cynic - 24 Aug 2015 08:42 - 1032 of 1468

nothing will be immune as positions are forcibly liquidated and otherwise

HARRYCAT - 07 Sep 2015 13:58 - 1033 of 1468

You're right Mr C. Nothing is immune.........my 40p reluctant target hit!....next stop 35p?

greekman - 07 Sep 2015 16:22 - 1034 of 1468

With a total lack of news regarding AFC, todays sp movement is not normal, even allowing for the usual weirdness of the AIM market.

A minute ago it dipped to 5.12p down.

What the hells happening!

kimoldfield - 09 Sep 2015 16:08 - 1035 of 1468

Down to the levels last seen in May. What is my gut instinct telling me? Something is not right - sell! However, having gone over the RNS issued last month I picked this out -

"Operational information pertaining to the fuel cell system will now be generated over the coming months for the further validation of the system both to AFC, and its international development, manufacturing and finance partners."

So maybe my gut instinct is wrong and I should be a little more patient. I hate this share, let's hope the company can come up with something to make me love it! :o)

greekman - 09 Sep 2015 18:01 - 1036 of 1468

Hi Kimoldfield,

I think that your comment re patience is spot on.

My reasoning is that if you look back at the up/downs on the sp, the movements often make no sense at all.

I am quite sure that by year end, if all targets are met the sp will be at least 50p and with all targets so far met or been achieved early, I have no reason to doubt the managements setting of said targets.

But saying that, I do feel that we are justified to receive an update as to progress, even if it is as vague as stating that, progress is as expected and AFC have no idea why the sp is at it's current level.

The markets as us long term investors need reassurance!

kimoldfield - 09 Sep 2015 19:20 - 1037 of 1468

I suppose another month of patience won't hurt me will it Greek?!

Well I'm staying put......a sharp rebound might be coming....not definite but this does fly when it wants to....

Progress Update

Highlights
· AFC remains on target to deliver on each of its two final Milestone's at Stade, namely Milestones 10 and 11, in accordance with earlier timeframes
· The Company continues to develop its commercial pipeline of opportunities with its current and prospective partners internationally

kimoldfield - 10 Sep 2015 07:13 - 1040 of 1468

Mr Adam Bond, AFC's Chief Executive Officer, said: "At this time, we wish to reassure shareholders that AFC remains on target to deliver on its key milestones announced in December 2014. We will provide further updates to the market on the KORE system at Stade and other commercial developments in the near future."

Well, MrBond must have been listening/watching!

VICTIM - 10 Sep 2015 07:27 - 1041 of 1468

It's a bit sad that a Company has to issue an RNS to reassure investors really , just because there's no news is that a reason to hammer the share price . This seems to be very common now with shares , you have to wonder if it's not a tactic employed by someone . Sometimes the amounts involved are ridiculous . Who benefits .

greekman - 10 Sep 2015 08:44 - 1042 of 1468

I for one am very glad of this RNS.

This bit alone is worth the RNS, 'The Company also wishes to confirm that it continues to make progress in the development of its fuel cell catalyst and at this time, has seen further recent improvements in the power output generated from the cells as compared with that currently being trialled in Stade; this provides further confidence that the AFC fuel cell will be in a position to achieve its targeted capacity output of the KORE by the end of 2015'.

Also..........'We remain confident that the scope of the Company's pipeline, being an expected 1GW of capacity under development or in operation by the end of 2020 will be delivered and indeed, most likely exceeded'.

Lovely word EXCEEDED.

If this had been a main market company instead of the AIM a RNS stating that the company knows of no reason re extraordinary volatility in it's sp would have been released well before now.

Most of the top 100 company tend to release such reassuring RNS's whenever the sp drops by even as low as 10% within a month, main reason being that the main investors in these companies tend to be institution who look for reassurance for their clients.

That is if course unless the whole market suffers from a catastrophic loss.
