Welcome aboard Adie, this is indeed a good thread.

SWW, a couple of questions if I may.

What on earth is a "chicken brick"?? Seems my cooking knowledge is a little lacking here!

No doubt that dish will take you a while to cook. Me thinks it may be an excuse to consume more Chainti whilst cooking! ;-)

As far as DYOR, should that not be DYOC, Do Your Own Cooking.

My Sheppards pie falls away compared to Chicken a La Seawallwalker.

Time for lunch, ham sandwich with lettuce.

seawallwalker - 26 Oct 2004 12:36 - 1058 of 7811

A Chicken Brick by it's German name is Schlemmertopf.

It really is the only way to cook.........................

any meat at all, but a chicken is terrific!

I have been able to buy them in the UK, John Lewis stocked them last I looked, aloso seen them on sale direct from Germany.

All the goodness is sealed in therfore all the flavours are captured.........

Costs abot 10, but you probably never use another cooking dish once you have started.

Also use it to bake potatos, it keeps the skins just right in respect of crispieness, ans the inside moist.

seawallwalker - 26 Oct 2004 12:37 - 1059 of 7811

Even cooked a stew/casserole in ours.......

yummy

'scuse my lack of knowledge, but is a 1/4p spread good news in repect of the share??

proptrade - 26 Oct 2004 12:45 - 1061 of 7811

nice news, great food and the wine sounds fab. i am a la crusset fan myself....

seawallwalker - 26 Oct 2004 12:50 - 1062 of 7811

prop did you see what happened to ROC this morning?

Up 5.5p and still can't buy online.

These were a recent issue, and I wondered if they were not commonly released yet for us minnow investors.

Nice leap though, none of the others in the PSC have gone up with todays drilling report, so an unaccountable increase in price!

sandrew64 - 26 Oct 2004 12:51 - 1063 of 7811

i'm really intrigued by your chicken brick SWW. What does it look like?

seawallwalker - 26 Oct 2004 12:52 - 1064 of 7811

Just like this

Here is a UK seller, price 24.95, more than I paid, but hey..........

hilary - 26 Oct 2004 13:07 - 1066 of 7811

Isn't that something like a Tandoor oven?

seawallwalker - 26 Oct 2004 13:26 - 1067 of 7811

Dunno.

See we have lost a quarter while I was my third glass......

AdieH - 26 Oct 2004 13:28 - 1068 of 7811

This really is a good thread, get great cooking tips and investment information at same time, this should be introduced to other threads, keep it up.

sandrew64 - 26 Oct 2004 13:29 - 1069 of 7811

Thanks SWW. Nice looking piece of kit...especially with that chicken in it!...mmmm I think I could do with a nice fried egg and cheese sandwich to keep my strength up till dinnertime. Any change in that sp I've been a bit distracted?

hlyeo98 - 26 Oct 2004 13:47 - 1070 of 7811

Sorry if I may sound naive, what is the connection between Sterling Energy and Hardman Resources??

seawallwalker - 26 Oct 2004 13:50 - 1071 of 7811

Hardman, Woodside Petroleum, ROC,. British Gas are all part of the Consortium in Mauritannia exploration on going at the moment.

News from Hardman is relevant to Sterling in this veture, Styerling have a free carry on the vast majority of holes drilled, sometimes referred to as wells, but of course they are only that if there is something there that the companies want!

Is that okay as I have to check the chicken?

proptrade - 26 Oct 2004 14:18 - 1072 of 7811

SWW, you are a man of many talents. i was hoping to see a picture of you merrily preparing a feast for us all. your culinary skills are becoming the stuff of legend....they will before speasking your name eons after SEY is taken over by BP at 10.40....

moneyplus - 26 Oct 2004 14:31 - 1073 of 7811

Don't own any SEY yet -am waiting for funds but do enjoy the food fun! I'll let you all know when I 've taken the plunge. Watch the Spring tides on your wall SWW or the dog might go for a swim! I am a nuts and seeds eater a la Dr Gillian-boring boring!! Regards MP

seawallwalker - 26 Oct 2004 14:42 - 1074 of 7811

proptrade thank you for that!

10.40 is a bit conservative don't you think?

If it weren't for the seawall I would have a worse weight probelm than I have!!

mp nice to see you here.

No problem with nuts........... takes all sorts!!

I am a bit camara shy, but if I can work the oracle, I will try to post a piccie of the sea wall and dog, hopefully not swimming!!

Good observation mp, it is that time again!

seawallwalker - 26 Oct 2004 14:44 - 1075 of 7811
