I am about 1 mile form the sea here in Hastings and there is a pleasant breeze blowing theourgh my house most of the time, but every time it drops down the temperature soars.....

31-33 Spacie in new money - I'm so used to working in both as Ol'Ma Bunny doesn't understand the new stuff and the kids don't understand the old stuff, so I'm in a duel world of imperial and metric LOL

Sounds good to me, all my postman delivered was more rubbish from banks wanting me to sign away my soul for a loan, credit card etc - boring!

Morning - tip given yesterday on Breakfast TV and it works:
Freeze a 2 litre bottle of water - allow expansion room so only fill 3/4 with water - at night (or when feeling hot) put the bottle of frozen water in front on a fan, as the fan operates the frozen water cools the air it is circulating, helps cool the air a lot more then just having a fan churning about hot air in the room. Well worth doing, tried it last night in sons room and it really did help :>)

Bunny sounds like a good idea but don't you end up with a pool of water under the bottle from the humidity in the air?
I put the fan on the windowsill so that the incoming air is from outside, trouble is that I normally semi wake up at about 0300 feeling cold ;-)
Its hot and sunny in Sevenoaks, and I understand its the same in cloggyland where I shall be this afternoon.

I put the bottle standing in a dish to be honest to collect the condensation as yes it does produce some, you're lucky if your incoming air is cooler, ours tends to be not as cool as it might be - other buildings I guess around holding the heat down.
Seems this heat is over a lot of Europe or it's thunderstorms - one extreme to another LOL

I was at work, borrowed a chopper to sweep through to pick up a nice bucket full of sherry trifle. Just the ticket on a hot day like what today was.

Big mistake last night, stayed in a hotel at Leiden as I flew in late and it didnt have any Air conditioning !! must have been about 30C in my room, I had to have the window open all night so I spent most of the night listening to trains .......
Back home this evening to thunder storms I hear.....
Report from Leidschendam gray, hot and humid, feels as though it will rain, and no parrots !

Parrots on order immediately for Spacie! ;>)
Hot, humid here in Middx, had a real crackling storm about 7am, followed by mini monsoon and now the inevitable sauna affect is kicking in as the sun tries to burn off the residue cloud - not a day for walking about with a steel tipped umbrella chaps!

Bunny, did you send the parrots first class or are they flying themselfs, I am a bit worried because they havnt arrived yet ....
I have been doing my part by sitting in an empty meeting room day dreaming and looking out of the window waiting for them to arrive.

Entrusted the job to the carrier pidgeon brigade as parrots have no sense of direction and could make for Tenerife without guidence when airborne - hopefully they will get to you soon.....
