Spaceman - 13 Jul 2006 10:31 - 10731 of 24230

JJ, you will get a session with Sven with talk like that, breaking house rule no 3 ;-)

Welcome GD, great to see you, help yourself to a few pints of biddingtons.

Al, there tend to be a few more FEBS around at the weekend ;-)

jj50 - 13 Jul 2006 12:26 - 10732 of 24230

Spacey ... "well"....LOL

OK, kettle on and chilled everything available...

Socrates - 13 Jul 2006 17:39 - 10733 of 24230

Wow, Golddog with a daughter, whatever next. Takes after him too, poor lass. Congrats all the same GD. Great to see you in the Coffee House too.

Big Al - 13 Jul 2006 21:10 - 10734 of 24230

jj - fresh tomatoes are OK, but I do like to soak everything in the juice you get out of the tin. ;-)))

FEBs are for every day, Spacie. A good sprinkling of Lea and Perrins and ground black pepper are of course required too.

Big Al - 13 Jul 2006 21:11 - 10735 of 24230

PS - Congrats Golddog. Wondered where you'd been. ;-)

optomistic - 13 Jul 2006 21:46 - 10736 of 24230

He's been making babies Al.... very ardous task.
Congrats Poochy, lots of bods left around here from times gone bye....still in date! :-0)

Fundamentalist - 14 Jul 2006 08:58 - 10737 of 24230

Priscilla - 14 Jul 2006 09:05 - 10738 of 24230

Many congratulations to Poochy and his lady on the arrival of little Katie, the newest and youngest member of the cafe team.

MightyMicro - 14 Jul 2006 11:16 - 10739 of 24230

Congratulations to Golddog!

I've been looking for an excuse for a mid-morning glass of bubbly -- pass the Mumm Napa, if you will, and a sufficiency of glasses for all those present.

*Pop* *Fizz* *glug, glug* *Slurp* Cheers all!

Big Al - 14 Jul 2006 22:38 - 10740 of 24230

Didn't know you needed any excuse, MM. ;-))

Socrates - 15 Jul 2006 07:52 - 10741 of 24230

Good morning from a grey Cotswolds. Woken up by an early bird today, to be precise a rampant pigeon plighting his troth out side my window.

I'll get the tea and coffee on so that any bleary eyed early risers don't have to wait.

I see Pru is still living in the garden shed and doing a sterling job keeping the garden in order. In fact the garden will be competition for Versailles if he keeps up the good work. Bit worried about where he's getting the statuary from though.

Socrates - 15 Jul 2006 07:54 - 10742 of 24230

Ouch!

Just walked around where a sign used to be and bumped into the wall.

optomistic - 15 Jul 2006 08:53 - 10743 of 24230

Morning Socco,
Lots of troth plighting going on up here as well, pidgeons and doves, problem is being so close to houses they cannot be shot. Running out of pidgeon I am!

Socrates - 15 Jul 2006 09:12 - 10744 of 24230

Morning Opto, maybe we will have to import some hawks.

optomistic - 15 Jul 2006 12:12 - 10745 of 24230

Afternoon Socco, good idea but I think we will need a lot. Wood pidgeons and doves seem to be taking over throughout the country. Not long ago it was difficult to get near to a wood pidgeon, now they appear to have become almost domesticated.....and they make an awful mess.

Socrates - 15 Jul 2006 13:22 - 10746 of 24230

Opto
I think nature will take it's course. As a surfeit of pigeon prey becomes available, the population of hawks will increase and adapt to city/town life. It's already happened in a small way but may take a long time before a balance is reached.

Now I have to go out, I feel an irresistable urge to participate in the Morrison's Grand Prix trolley race. Mainly due to there being hardly anything to eat left in the house. Back later, ta ta for now.

Socrates - 15 Jul 2006 15:19 - 10747 of 24230

One has returned.

optomistic - 15 Jul 2006 19:11 - 10748 of 24230

Well done Socco 15.19 and task completed. I have done three visits, two family one friend....NO supermarkets!!! rare happening on Saturday.
Today will be rounded off with a visit to the local watering hole.......well it is very warm :-)

Socrates - 16 Jul 2006 09:53 - 10749 of 24230

Good morning all. Sunny day in the Cotswolds, which reminds me, I have to go water all the plant pots. FEB is the order of the day, tea and toast to follow.

optomistic - 16 Jul 2006 10:05 - 10750 of 24230

Morning Socco, hot and sunny here in Yorks.
Morrisons this morning.....well I can't expect to get away without visting a supermarket two days in a row!
