But we are human beings and they are human beings and as such we should do anything we can to help. Let us not forget that it was a english boyscout who invented concentration camps. There is nothing wrong with concentration camps its the way they are used . we had the H block internment camp in NI , we have camp's for illegal immigrants in the UK .

I can't believe people dragging up World War Two. Completely no relevance to events now. Most people in Japan now weren't even born then. Still waiting to hear if my wife's relatives in Northern Japan are ok and hearing comments like those above make my blood boil.

Anybody else watching 'Boardwalk Empire' and the adventures of Nucky, Jimmy and Co., on the new Sky 'Atlantic' channel (Ch. 108)?

Why have they waited so long ?

They seem to have prepared for a large earthquake at their nuclear plant but not the problems that a tsunami would bring like the damage to the cooling pumps and back up generators , if the pumps and the water supplier kept working they would not have such a massive problem.

Well I have had Fred on filter for some time but after my post yesterday when I noticed a blank post I thought that could be Fred saying something nice so I unfiltered him. Wish I hadn't now. Fred you really are an absolute cunt making comments like that at this time. You should have a long hard look at yourself in the mirror and see if you like the kind of person you have become. If you have shred of decency you will apologise for that remark.

PTH and Greekman - thanks for the comments. As it turns out my wife finally tracked down last of her relatives last night and all alive albeit some in a difficult situation. Still no word from some friends mind you who are in towns that got hit by the tsunami. Also aunt and uncle living in Fukushima who survived the quake were as of yesterday relying on a local spring for drinking and washing water. Might have to change that plan given developments at the nuclear plant.

Hmmm? Apparently not. Pity really. Apparently they are saying that Boardwalk Empire is one of the best shows on TV at the present time.

Or maybe even 'The Event', where half the cast have DNA, which is 1% different to humans' and who are inviting an alien invasion and which kicked off again last night after a surprise break off right in the middle of the last series?

Am still watching repeats of Friends , as am not a fan of American sit/com's i didn't bother watching it the first time around, but am finding it very funny and the casting is spot on.
