Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

optomistic - 24 Jul 2006 19:22 - 10828 of 24230

Was Guinness mentioned :-0)................ could help a little.

Socrates - 24 Jul 2006 19:30 - 10829 of 24230

Hello. Opto, I have some aspirin if you are feeling a bit fragile. If that doesn't work a nice cold sherry trifle poultice might help, it has the added advantage that if you feel peckish you can eat it.

optomistic - 24 Jul 2006 19:42 - 10830 of 24230

Sure thing Socco, I think it will be better to eat (drink) it.

stockbunny - 25 Jul 2006 10:40 - 10831 of 24230

Remind me not to put Socs in charge of first aid ;>)
Morning all - it's getting too warm again, the summer home in Norway is looking more and more attractive LOL

KEAYDIAN - 25 Jul 2006 11:30 - 10832 of 24230

Slight dilema.

Need some butter for my toast but the fridge has a sign hanging from the handle saying "Do Not Disturb"

Knock knock, can I have the butter please.

stockbunny - 25 Jul 2006 13:32 - 10833 of 24230

Don't worry it's only Socs if you are quiet he wont wake up :>)

KEAYDIAN - 25 Jul 2006 15:52 - 10834 of 24230

Knock Knock (little harder this time).

The butter please.................................................................

I think I heard a slight mumble.

stockbunny - 25 Jul 2006 15:56 - 10835 of 24230

Just open the door, grab what you want - careful now...don't want any unexpected surprises.... - and close the door again, he wont even notice.
:>)

KEAYDIAN - 25 Jul 2006 16:02 - 10836 of 24230

Got it, phew.

Socrates - 25 Jul 2006 16:40 - 10837 of 24230

No need to knock, it's not a private fridge. Did you know it was built by the same firm that did the Tardis? Plenty of room inside, as long as you avoid the odd Dalek.

Socrates - 25 Jul 2006 17:03 - 10838 of 24230

Near disaster today, latest load of sherry trifle arrived with an apology saying that the sherry harvest was late and all the sherry trees have blight, yeah well!

Never mind, I've laced the trifle with 5 star brandy, tastes a bit different but wow, what a kick!

What bridge :S

What we really need is cattlegrid signs that glow in the dark.

stockbunny - 26 Jul 2006 08:13 - 10841 of 24230

Yes but ahhh bless, you see in this day and age of the nanny state they even warn the little cars that the sign is sharp as well as warning the humans - both small pics at the bottom....

Going to be very warm today, better up the dial on Socs fridge to supper cool..

Spaceman - 26 Jul 2006 09:03 - 10842 of 24230

Morning from a very warm Hastings.

I am getting a bit worried about Socs, he has been stuck in the fridge for several days now, he better check that his extremities havnt frozen !

Anyone got any advice for dealing with a 14 year old boy? I have my nephew staying with me and as far as I can tell he doesnt like anything ;-)

stockbunny - 26 Jul 2006 09:16 - 10843 of 24230

Easiest way it to ask him what he's into - PS2, Xbox, cars, sport, watching DVD's surfing the net, there's bound to be something Spacie....

optomistic - 26 Jul 2006 09:17 - 10844 of 24230

Does he like fishing Spacie?

Spaceman - 26 Jul 2006 09:33 - 10845 of 24230

Thanks bunny,
Not being a parent I am not used to handling teenagers, most questions get the reply of 'dunno' or 'boring', but so far we have just decided something for him and it hasnt been too bad but we are running out of ideas.

We did Motor Show on Monday
Cinema and looking at possible new cars Tuesday
Probably Eastbourne Marina and Cinema today
Thursday ???
Friday ???
Saturday ???

He arrived fully loaded with a huge bag full of computer/ipod/headphones/and many other gadgets however oddly ;-) he failed to bring any soap or toothpast or anything to do with washing.

He is actually a pretty sweet kid but I sense he is getting a bit bored spending a week with his aged aunt and uncle !, normally when bored he resorts to the computer! luckily along with his computer we have 5 others so he can play with them as much a she likes.

opto, not really ....

chocolat - 26 Jul 2006 09:36 - 10846 of 24230

You know any 16 year-old babysitters?

optomistic - 26 Jul 2006 09:37 - 10847 of 24230

Sounds like he needs some outdoor activity Spacie. Enough with us spending all day on the PC. LOL
