CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

stockbunny - 26 Jul 2006 09:16 - 10843 of 24230

Easiest way it to ask him what he's into - PS2, Xbox, cars, sport, watching DVD's surfing the net, there's bound to be something Spacie....

optomistic - 26 Jul 2006 09:17 - 10844 of 24230

Does he like fishing Spacie?

Spaceman - 26 Jul 2006 09:33 - 10845 of 24230

Thanks bunny,
Not being a parent I am not used to handling teenagers, most questions get the reply of 'dunno' or 'boring', but so far we have just decided something for him and it hasnt been too bad but we are running out of ideas.

We did Motor Show on Monday
Cinema and looking at possible new cars Tuesday
Probably Eastbourne Marina and Cinema today
Thursday ???
Friday ???
Saturday ???

He arrived fully loaded with a huge bag full of computer/ipod/headphones/and many other gadgets however oddly ;-) he failed to bring any soap or toothpast or anything to do with washing.

He is actually a pretty sweet kid but I sense he is getting a bit bored spending a week with his aged aunt and uncle !, normally when bored he resorts to the computer! luckily along with his computer we have 5 others so he can play with them as much a she likes.

opto, not really ....

You know any 16 year-old babysitters?

optomistic - 26 Jul 2006 09:37 - 10847 of 24230

Sounds like he needs some outdoor activity Spacie. Enough with us spending all day on the PC. LOL

stockbunny - 26 Jul 2006 09:50 - 10848 of 24230

Yup but they are an age group that were brought up on gadgets, so it is quite possible that given the choice of Do you want to go out with us or stay in and do your own thing? He will opt for the latter, that's just how it is. :>)

Spaceman - 26 Jul 2006 11:00 - 10849 of 24230

chocolat ;-) unfortunatly not...

opto/bunny, good idea I think a walk through the park is in order, then marina then cinema, so far we have got away with just telling him what we are doing I dont really want to give him a menu of options, mind you I am not sure what I would do if he refused !?

Hello all, looking at the forecast I may well be exiting the fridge some time soon. Must be out for the weekend for the antique fair at the NEC.

Mixed bag in my portfolio today 5R6G4B.

Spaceman - 27 Jul 2006 10:13 - 10851 of 24230

Morning, we had some thunderstorms last night and now its hot and sticky in Hastings, I woke up at 0615 and looked at the thermometer and it was 28C !

I guess its another day in the fridge for socs?

stockbunny - 27 Jul 2006 10:41 - 10852 of 24230

I know it's awful isn't it? It's a cause for celebration if the thermometer inside shows below 30 degs, trouble is the heat gets stuck in the house :>(
No t.storms here yet, cloudy, very sticky but that's about it.

Spaceman - 27 Jul 2006 11:21 - 10853 of 24230

I managed to buy a big fan at Lidl last week, it on tall stand and has been a real bonus, we already have 2 others but the tall stand makes it much better.

Much as I like summer I could do with a few days where the daytime max is about 25 and the nighttime max is about 15 !

Never happy with the weather......

stockbunny - 27 Jul 2006 11:26 - 10854 of 24230

I'd go with that Spacie :>)
We recently got an Aussie made (UK bought) air cooler, that works pretty good and not as expensive as air con but obviously also not quite in the same league either, still, that and the 3 other fans around the place must help.....LOL

Socrates - 27 Jul 2006 16:55 - 10855 of 24230

Good evening all.

A better day for my portfolio 1R6G8B. Not much cooler today so I'm still in the fridge, it's quite pleasant really. I've had wireless broadband installed too so I can keep in touch and stay cool at the same time.

stockbunny - 27 Jul 2006 17:16 - 10856 of 24230

We have the full kettle drum and lights show approaching from further into London at the moment, even started raining, so maybe it will cool down :>)

Spaceman - 28 Jul 2006 07:54 - 10857 of 24230

Morning from a bright sunny and I think slightly cooler Hastings. We are taking the 14 year old to London today, mainly so he can look at keyboards.....

KEAYDIAN - 28 Jul 2006 08:47 - 10858 of 24230

Denmark street?

Spaceman - 28 Jul 2006 08:56 - 10859 of 24230

K, around there plus the place under Virgin Mega Store.

KEAYDIAN - 28 Jul 2006 09:01 - 10860 of 24230

Do enjoy although it's pretty overcast up here in the City this am.

Socrates - 29 Jul 2006 09:09 - 10861 of 24230

Good morning all. A tad cooler today so I may well venture out of the fridge. Must do the Morrison's Trolley Race at least.

Socrates - 29 Jul 2006 09:09 - 10862 of 24230

But there is a sign!
