349p now and falling... I'm waiting for 310-320p.

cynic - 29 Dec 2010 11:30 - 1098 of 3002

volume is very light, and for most of the time this morning, the spread has been 7/10p .... typical of MMs playing silly-buggers, but that is always going to be the problem with XEL until it becomes a SETS stock

by the way, does anyone know anything about NVTA?
i know it's a rare earth miner, which makes it potentially interesting, but that's all i know - and it's SETS

cynic - 29 Dec 2010 15:04 - 1099 of 3002

still very low volume (<1m) and it's interesting to note the huge spread quoted by the MMs .... Winstanley @ 10p, but all 8 others are between 15/20p

ptholden - 29 Dec 2010 15:14 - 1100 of 3002

Most seem to expect that gap to 320p to be filled, so I guess it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy - charts are like that!

cynic - 29 Dec 2010 15:15 - 1101 of 3002

they are indeed, but i shan't appreciate it much!

Cynic, GIPPSLAND are into Tantulum too. though they only on the ASX.

many thanks ..... i may have a very small dabble at Noventa which is almost certainly easier to trade

cynic - 29 Dec 2010 15:18 - 1105 of 3002

thanks for the correction MN - was trying to work out what it might be!

Richard, I dont expect your purchase of greed to remain in negative territory for too many weeks. Just average down when it reaches the gap!!

lol!

halifax - 29 Dec 2010 16:10 - 1110 of 3002

cynic NVTA has a market cap of around 50m and is aiming to produce 500klbs of tantulum at $90 per lb, and their mine is in a remote part of Mozambique. Sounds pretty risky as a pure commodity play.

required field - 29 Dec 2010 16:19 - 1111 of 3002

It is isable...

ptholden - 29 Dec 2010 16:32 - 1112 of 3002

Mozambique, nice place, was there during the floods in 2000. Once hyped as the alternative 'bread basket' of South Africa following the demise of Zimbabwe. Not sure if it ever lived up to the hype?

cynic - 29 Dec 2010 16:33 - 1113 of 3002

don't tell me - you ran the ship aground!

ptholden - 29 Dec 2010 16:36 - 1114 of 3002

Actually, that's quite close to the truth, lol, but not a story for public consumption; maybe during a round of golf in the new year :)

chakli - 29 Dec 2010 18:10 - 1115 of 3002
