Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

stockbunny - 24 Aug 2006 11:23 - 11055 of 24230

It seems the snail farm is doing quite well, supplying a couple of restaurants now so yes I think we can take a few more for detoxing, mind you at this rate we could need an extension on the back of the coffee house to house our cottage industry ;>)

Spaceman - 24 Aug 2006 11:28 - 11056 of 24230

LOL ;-)

OK I will put them in the newly installed snail detox stainless steel tanks in the room with a door marked "Bunnies Snail processing plant" on the outside which has a warning sign on the inside saying "Under no circumstances are snails to be served in the coffee house"

stockbunny - 24 Aug 2006 11:33 - 11057 of 24230

I prefer Bunny's Snail Health Farm personally - less intimidating for the inmates.
It's only the market downturn that's made me resort to this you know, being a very seldom flesh eater personally, but sadly the hot weather in July badly affected my carrot crop and needs must and all that.......
;>)
How's your crop of interesting plants doing upstairs?
;>)

stockbunny - 24 Aug 2006 11:35 - 11058 of 24230

By the way - minor announcement to any lurkers visiting the coffee house

CONTRARY TO THE EVIDENCE WE ARE ALL REALLY QUITE SANE PEOPLE IN HERE!

;>)

Spaceman - 24 Aug 2006 12:35 - 11059 of 24230

Bunny, the interesting plants were doing fine until we got all these snails, I think some of them escaped and ate most of the crop, there are a lot of confused snails up there at the moment and they seem very hungry!

Oh I almost forgot

I AM NOT ONE OF THE SANE ONES ;-: ......

stockbunny - 24 Aug 2006 12:46 - 11060 of 24230

Oh No I'm not having my 'client' snails blamed for your invasion and subsequent crop munch crime wave, must be ones off the local estate, got in through an open window or something....

Sadly I don't feel they will fulfil the entry criteria for the health farm, we do detox but not that sort of detox and my 'clients' may feel they lower the tone - never realised how fussy snails were actually but they are really quite snotty about such things...

;>)

Spaceman - 24 Aug 2006 12:54 - 11061 of 24230

bunny you might be right but at least one of them has a label on its saying "freshly detoxed fine English Snail - Product of Bunny's Snail Health Farm - Please eat me"

I dont know about the others though they were hiding in the corner with a load of car radios some wheels from a Porsche and wearing Burberry Basball caps !!

stockbunny - 24 Aug 2006 13:02 - 11062 of 24230

Burberry baseball caps - ahhh well you see that proves it, my clientele would never be seen in burberry on a Thursday and that labelling isn't mine, definitely counterfeit goods Spacie ;>)

Socrates - 24 Aug 2006 16:39 - 11063 of 24230

What's all this snails business? Chinese are having lots of trouble with infected snails giving people meningitis. Not funny that.

Soon be bank holiday weekend, I suppose that's why the latest news I heard talks about flooded roads.

stockbunny - 24 Aug 2006 16:45 - 11064 of 24230

Our snails are Brits Socs, hadn't heard about the Chinese ones or the problems there. Anyway I'm off, have a good evening :>)

Socrates - 25 Aug 2006 16:44 - 11065 of 24230

As I passed over the M5, there was this stream of snails heading south west. Glad I'm not going that way.

optomistic - 25 Aug 2006 16:48 - 11066 of 24230

Poor things, they will be worn out by the time they get to Bunny's

Socrates - 25 Aug 2006 16:49 - 11067 of 24230

They certainly will, each one seemed to be pushing a car.

stockbunny - 25 Aug 2006 16:51 - 11068 of 24230

LOL - how you doing Socs?

Socrates - 25 Aug 2006 16:58 - 11069 of 24230

Fine thanks Bunny, et tu?

stockbunny - 25 Aug 2006 17:14 - 11070 of 24230

I'm OK forever trying to earn a crust, you know the normal stuff LOL

stockbunny - 25 Aug 2006 17:29 - 11071 of 24230

Well that's me done, so have a great extended weekend :>)

KEAYDIAN - 26 Aug 2006 00:41 - 11072 of 24230

I don't want to cause a panic but I've either had a few to many or there really was a 7' tall snail waiting by the taxi rank outside Sevenoaks station, hic.

Spaceman - 26 Aug 2006 07:23 - 11073 of 24230

Keaydian, I think you probably had a few too many, went I was there last night there were only a few 2' snails ......

Socrates - 26 Aug 2006 07:57 - 11074 of 24230

Good morning Spacie, up early today? Grey day here in the Cotswolds, just right for a trolley race.
