candolim - 13 Aug 2006 14:03 - 1129 of 2511

I must have done something wrong, I was thanking you for your email you sent to me on 5th august. regarding my remortgage. Next to your previous cynic is a envelope with a yellow border. I thought that if I pressed the box after typing your message that this would send you your message. must be wrong.

cynic - 13 Aug 2006 14:23 - 1130 of 2511

no ... you are correct, but I think the system is sometimes a bit slow

cynic - 13 Aug 2006 15:05 - 1131 of 2511

candolim .... your e-mail now received via the system here .... tread carefully as the world and his wife now seem to be piling into GOO (and VOG too)

cynic - 14 Aug 2006 09:49 - 1132 of 2511

the butterflies are flitting away today, perhaps to GOO, presumably because there has been no RNS yet from VOG

WOODIE - 14 Aug 2006 09:59 - 1133 of 2511

there was no reason on the suffice for the large rise friday, today after strong start a lot of big sellers have sold .

cynic - 14 Aug 2006 10:04 - 1134 of 2511

I would not disagree. However, if sp comes back far enough without obvious reason, I shall be adding

WOODIE - 15 Aug 2006 11:07 - 1135 of 2511

looking weak again now ,day traders look like they want out?

soul traders - 15 Aug 2006 12:05 - 1136 of 2511

Well, if people are now beginning to doubt Friday's rumour . . . .

Someone must have made a bob or two though.

WOODIE - 15 Aug 2006 12:08 - 1137 of 2511

soul traders - 15 Aug 2006 12:20 - 1138 of 2511

steveo - 15 Aug 2006 16:52 - 1139 of 2511

lizard - 15 Aug 2006 21:15 - 1140 of 2511

goo- peru?. or is it oil?.

candolim - 16 Aug 2006 17:44 - 1141 of 2511

does anyone know why we have had a sharp fall today. went up to 1.02 yesterday, and back down to .80p today. maybe because the rumours of an aquisition did not appear to come to anything.

cynic - 16 Aug 2006 17:58 - 1142 of 2511

volume is quite low ..... would guess just general lethargy and lack of excitement

queen - 17 Aug 2006 22:51 - 1143 of 2511

anyone know anything as to why we had a 10% rise today??

lizard - 18 Aug 2006 07:41 - 1144 of 2511

why not it was 260p a few months ago 10% rises are nothing in the circumstances.

scotinvestor - 18 Aug 2006 07:52 - 1145 of 2511

Marconi went from more than 12 pounds to valueless in just over a year.

Come on Lizard, waken up. Just cos a share goes down quite a bit doesnt mean it has to go up again.

By the way, Lord Simpson(another of Blair cronies) should have been put in jail for life for what he did to Marconi. Also 1000s lost their jobs too.
Whereas he fled a sinking ship after causing the mess by going into High Tech.

Sorry for going off at a tangent............and no i didnt have marconi but it annoys me of people like simpson who are high up in business but screw things up

The Independent
18 August 2006 07:41

Victoria Oil & Gas found some support after a rumour that the company is looking to invest in more projects in Kazakhstan. Recent disappointing drilling results have forced the price down from a high of 266p in February to open at 80p yesterday. But some investors expressed doubts about new ventures, pointing out that existing projects need to be resolved before the company embarks on more land acquisitions. The shares closed 8.75p better at 88.75p.

majormoney - 18 Aug 2006 08:32 - 1147 of 2511

Scotinvestor, Agree with you totally about Marconi, that was nothing short of criminal what happened at there. I bought shares about two weeks after Lord Weinstock (the original head of Marconi) bought a load of shares as I think he had the idea of trying to get back into the management of Marconi. I bought in at a 1 as Marconi (if Weinstock buying I thought it was safe) was ludicrously valued (we all thought) until the real truth came out that Marconi had been lying to their Bankers, shareholders and all. The management should have been prosecuted. It should only take one piece of good news at VOG to turn the share price around. However if an opportunity has arisen for VOG to purchase something good then they are only doing what they said they would do at the EGM.
