New Biom Technologies (BIOM)

hangon - 16 Jul 2010 15:31

DYOR - - - - - - - - - Biom Technologies mid-July 2010 AIM
This is the new resting place for Stanelco, the wonder producer of starch-based food-trays...only they didn't catch on.Over the last 10 years to 2010 the 0.1p shares traded abour 2.5p then shot up to 24p during 2005 with promise of Tray-Trials I understand. Within a year or so, they fell to new depths and finished at 0.2p Of course they were full-list then and some were held in ISA's hoping there would be a big profit...only now these are distressed sales as the Company slunk off to AIM, presumably "...to provide better shareholder-value"
Perhaps someone closer to the Co. can explain why the new name is Biome
....rhymes with Home. Often it is done to remove the previous sp-history.
Could it be..so new investors can bask in ignorance, etc. I'm not aware of any "change" in fortune for SEO, rather the reverse.
In my limited experience, the longer the name of a company the longer you have to wait for any return...Huh . . . . . .
. SEO had been a terrible investment.
DYOR.
Can Biome be any worse...?
EDIT ( 24April2017)- "just woken up" -me not BIOME - sp is 154, but I note about June 2013 there was what looks like a CONsolidation . . do I recall many LT investors were sold-short?... as I believe the (new share) numbers were terrible! . . . Anyone?

Biome Technologies plc ("the Company")

Biome Bioplastics moves to patent protect new technology

Biome Technologies plc announces that Biome Bioplastics, its wholly owned subsidiary, has filed a patent application for its innovative new range of bioplastics that are stable at high temperatures.

BiomeHT 90, the first of this new range of temperature stable bioplastics, was launched in 2010 and has been followed by 6 other products in the BiomeHT range; all highly functional and with improved temperature stability over conventional bioplastics. All products in the range are made from predominantly renewable resources and are fully biodegradable, providing for lower lifecycle costs and excellent end-of-life credentials.

This breakthrough technology is opening the bio-plastics market to a multitude of new products and applications such as electronics and hot food/drink contact materials that have not been able to benefit from the environmental and brand properties of bioplastics in the past.

This patent application comes after extensive trials and validation procedures of the BiomeHT range and is an important next step in protecting the intellectual property being developed by Biome Bioplastics.

Well, it's a start. Again!

Still own a shitload of these shares as they are now a reminder how NOT to trade.Very unlikely but you never know i might be lucky with these one day. At least management does not post RSN's every five minutes......

You didn't post under another name did you? pm perhaps?

baggerbiome - 12 Apr 2011 16:08 - 122 of 644

NOPE new to this share, got a tip from a freind who said this will be double at least by the 5th MAY. That is why I have invested, big things to come, he works in the business and has told me they are doing BIG business $$$$$$

kimoldfield - 12 Apr 2011 16:24 - 123 of 644

There is a range of emotions that holders of BIOM go through :-
Hope Excitement Adulation Dispare Confusion Anxiousness Sickness Emptiness.

Take the first letter from each word and you have the description of a BIOM shareholder.

Welcome to the club! ;o)

Balerboy - 12 Apr 2011 16:29 - 124 of 644

LOL, just about sums it up kim.,. I look forward to the 5th may....bit like " end of the world in 2012"

halifax - 12 Apr 2011 16:30 - 125 of 644

According to Mercedes Benz magazine it is developing a new concept car in its Advanced Design Studios in California called the "Biome" made from organic cultivation which at the end of its useful life can simply be composted or turned into building material.

kimoldfield - 12 Apr 2011 16:37 - 126 of 644

:o)

halifax - 12 Apr 2011 17:09 - 127 of 644

kim read article on page 46 of mercedes benz magazine which states "they forsee cars that could be made from BioFibre which could be lighter than metal or plastic, yet more robust than steel."

kimoldfield - 12 Apr 2011 22:42 - 128 of 644

Halifax, yes I know! The Biome looks a pretty smart piece of kit. Let's hope that BIOM shares can move as quickly!! Certainly there is an interesting future ahead, it would be great if Biome Technologies became part of Mercedes' future and visa versa. Not impossible is it?!

halifax - 12 Apr 2011 23:58 - 129 of 644

kim who knows stranger things have happened, but it would be a great co -incidence if there is no connection. Biome is a pretty odd name for a sports car.

kimoldfield - 13 Apr 2011 08:41 - 130 of 644

Biome is a standard name of course but there is no reason why BIOM shouldn't be knocking on Mercedes' door offering some of their new technology. May 5th should provide a hint as to whether or not the company can pull off something respectable for a change!

''NOPE new to this share, got a tip from a freind who said this will be double at least by the 5th MAY. That is why I have invested, big things to come, he works in the business and has told me they are doing BIG business $$$$$$''

Would it be too difficult for you to explain 'why' it should double.
What sort of 'BIG business $$$$$$'

robinhood - 13 Apr 2011 11:21 - 132 of 644

Baggerbiome- hope you are right as most of us got fingers badly burnt in the past by this company...
(Guess if it happens again you can always change your name into "buggerbiome")

patshere - 13 Apr 2011 12:16 - 133 of 644
