I was listening to "The Food Program" on R4 this morning and they had a pice about a fantastic association that I want to join, its called "The Association for the Recognition of SautPotatoes with Onions as a Main Dish"

Thats got to be one of the finest association I have ever heard of, they are based in Slovenia and they have just held their 6th annual Festival.

Unfortunately I cant find any more info about them but I would like to make contact with them in order to become a member and hopefully also be allowed to serve this dish in the coffee house, its got to beat snails.

Even a slow worm would :P

Hey that's something I learned from my aunties, Spacie.
You slice raw potatoes very thinly and then throw them in over the onions with salt and lashings of oil in a biiig pan, adding a spot of water as required. Mmmm yummy :)

chocky, they do sound nice but do you recognise them as a main dish rather than just as a starter ;-)

Krauts don't do starters, Spacie ;)

Warm would be good but hot will do if you over do it - I'm not fussy ;>)

I am off to sunny (I hope) Norwich for a few hours, got to see a man about some trees! I hope its worth it its a 350 mile round trip.

Bunny, it does sound interesting doesnt it !, actually its more like seeing a man about cutting down some trees and bits of trees.

Well had a nice drive up to Norwich in 2:45, going back does not look much fun there was a 7 mile jam southbound on the M11.
